- juicebag, on 01/30/2008, -0/+22I can't take Tremulous seriously with Tenacious D's The Metal playing in the background.
NO ONE CAN DESTROY THE METAL - gldfshnpcklejar, on 01/30/2008, -0/+15Sorry for the comment abuse. Didn't want to watch but had to so here you go:

5. Minerva (HL2 Mod) - Turambar, on 01/30/2008, -0/+13ID Tech 3 polled high, but not as high as FS2_Open with BSG: Beyond the Red Line, which took Indie Game of the Year
Here's to bringing back the Space Fighter Sim! *raises glass* - Foenetik, on 01/30/2008, -2/+15Congrats to Insurgency. They've put so much work into it since the first beta release.
- Lokishot, on 01/30/2008, -2/+12I'm kinda interested in that Zombie Panic mod.
- Lokishot, on 01/30/2008, -1/+11I think it made the mod 300% more badass.
- Uncle_Joe, on 01/30/2008, -2/+12I'm apart of the MechWarrior: Living Legends mod team and I have to say while I don't participate in the actual modeling (I do web administration) the dev's work very hard day in and day out, and getting their work highlighted to millions of gamers is really what keeps them going. What ModDB does is in many ways essential to the entire modding scene.
- DFENS, on 01/30/2008, -0/+9In some ways, better then Valve quality. Much of it is simply fascinating with many 'a-ha' moments.
- OreoJackson, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7They're still in development, going commercial on source
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6I think zombie panic source is great. The atmosphere is easy to get into, and when you are the last survivor with just a few bullets left.. Let me just say, I got freaked out a few times when ambushed from the shadows.
- sixthree, on 01/30/2008, -2/+8That video ruined the awards for me. Holy hell that was annoying.
- Rizzen, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6Insurgency is alot of fun when both teams play right. Spawn campers can go ***** themselves.
- hydratedsquash, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6The dinosaur sounds like a little girl.
The BF2 engine- Great for Modders. - sevenalive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+5look at the license for the player

I wonder if they bought it for the lousy 20 euros, if they didn't they should die for being cheap bastards. - CallanHans, on 01/30/2008, -2/+7It's free. Hoorah.
- undershirt, on 01/30/2008, -2/+7Me too, but I'm saving myself for Left 4 Dead, hehe.
- markwilcox, on 01/30/2008, -0/+5They could have given the winning mod more screen time.
- TrevorBradley, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4It actually is an awesome mod. The trick is to find a good server. Some servers are filled with jerks, others are great.
The mod has convinced me that deep down in every man there's a need to role play in a zombie outbreak. The best servers have human screamers. Occasionally someone breaks out Thriller or Queens "Don't Stop Me Now" from Shaun of the Dead over VoIP. It's fantastic.
Most critical bug to fix at this point, getting the player list working so you can mute people. Otherwise, ZP:S is fantastic. - Misinformant, on 01/30/2008, -4/+8Natural Selection 2, please.
- arcooke, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Wait until it's more polished. I downloaded it a few weeks ago and it's still really undeveloped. There's only one character model for each team (zombies/survivors), bad animations that need updating, and the gameplay needs some serious tweaking. At least when I played.
Graphics looked nice though.. and it has a lot of potential. - inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Beyond the Red Line FTW.
- PoeticExplosion, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4I make it a habit to turn music off on games anyway. But Tremulous is an _amazing_ game. The (playable) aliens are completely different from the humans, for once! It also has ridiculously fast-paced gameplay.
- Checkerd, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Its a little buggy, but still pretty fun if you can get your team organized.
- geoffreyireland, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Whatever happened to Black Mesa Source being in the finalists? Its got massive community hype but obviously not ModDB hype.
Its taking forever to make but then again how many complete game remakes take a short time? - praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+4That Jurassic Park mod better deliver.
- MadceltUK, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Dugg for Minerva
- DeviantDragon, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4They post fairly regular updates and podcasts at their site. Not vaporware.
- TiMMY8765, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4hell yeah space sim games. Also very excited someone's making a mechwarrior mod. I now have a reason to upgrade my pc to play crysis.
- Icyfenix, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4you can't, it's impossible. I, HAL 9000 still cannot play crysis, and I have achieved backwards time travel.
- Dustmuffins, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Maybe it's a little girl raptor? You ever think of THAT?
- Varz, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3Yeah the game is pretty fun like a free version of Natural Selection.
- Zaggynl, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3Scroll up...
- Rekzai, on 01/30/2008, -1/+4I wish there were more Portal mods and maps on that site.
- arcooke, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3I tried out Padworld and it wasn't all that great. If you download it, make sure to download the v1.2 patch as well, otherwise you'll get kicked out of multiplayer games.
- YouRookies, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3Wow, where are the mods for the other genres?
- ClockworksNine, on 01/30/2008, -2/+5I feel dumb, I thought it was going to be case mods. Oh well, still dugg.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2I do believe I'll need a new pair of trousers when your mod is released...
- quaunaut, on 01/30/2008, -1/+3Yeah, except less balanced, fun, or professional.
- Zaggynl, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2zing!
- EvilFerret, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2The Jurassic Park mod for Far Cry still isn't finished. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the Crysis version....
- markwilcox, on 01/30/2008, -1/+3http://portalmaps.net/
- Lunarbunny, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2I personally think that it could be really good if it gets some polish. I think the speed needs to get increased a bit too...I don't like the fact that I have to empty a whole magazine into a zombie just to kill it (I mean come on, you start out with what, 1.5 mags?) Also the movement speed feels like walking through molasses.
- HotBaconSauce, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2They went SC first so you can't see how development is going. I wish they went MC for celerity..
- vertigoblue, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2why the hell are they even including unreleased mods?
BTW Insurgency and Battle Star Galactica: Beyonde the Red Line were awesome! - stack3r, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2GO WARSOW!

Aussie community - #warsow.au on irc.gamesurge.net - inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2but techno was proven wrong
- rz8472, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2Awesome; if anyone is interested in the demo (2 missions + 1 tutorial mission and limited multiplayer), you can download it here:
http://www.game-warden.com/bsg/downloads.html
Looking at all the other independent games and having played BtRL myself, it's clear that it is far more visually stunning and has much more polish than any of the other games. (Not to belittle the other games) - Lunarbunny, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/
They also have legal authorization from Microsoft (current Battletech license holder) to create it, so they won't be getting C&Ds. -
