- terryhuang, on 04/24/2009, -0/+44The girl gets the record for most annoying voice.
- Skitals, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2740ft? This can't possibly be a world record. I did a search and found this. Granted, it's not a waterfall dive, but it's #$%ing insane. 172ft triple somersault. Start at the panning shot at 1:12.

- iPerphekt, on 04/25/2009, -0/+10Dugg for Pirates of the Caribbean music.
- Rudymoman, on 04/24/2009, -0/+9Rocking the Speed-o!
- mobislink, on 04/25/2009, -0/+8I can't believe one judge gave him a 7.5.
- Davids125, on 04/25/2009, -0/+8Holy *****. Thats ***** nutty.
- alex7575, on 04/25/2009, -0/+7I was going to say that the guy must have some big balls, but the speedo said otherwise...
(to his defense, the water did seem a bit cold) - ryanhayn, on 04/25/2009, -0/+740 feet seems kinda small, no?
- cyborgbill, on 04/25/2009, -0/+6Mandarin and or Cantonese will do that to you.
- dinuguan, on 04/25/2009, -0/+6Harrison Ford could do it.
- lazycat, on 04/24/2009, -0/+5Ha.. 12 meters.. I would do it for the ladies!..
- felidaeus, on 04/25/2009, -0/+5Somewhere, there is some poor teenager in the rainforests of south america who DOESN'T have a billion dollar propaganda machine marketing for him that would eat this guy's balls for breakfast.
- borez, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4Jeez, can you imagine having a argument with that one?
- themastersb, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4That guy is one in a million... so there's only about 1,321 others just like him.
- TimBuc1, on 04/24/2009, -4/+8Zheng Da Zong Yi also received a world record for having the most rediculous name in all the land.
- Monotonousblob, on 04/25/2009, -0/+4Ice Cube did it form 600 ft, after dodging a bullet shot by William Dafoe, while jumping off a train blown up by Samuel L. Jackson, also involves a grenade launcher! That's badass.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-RsauhJoeQ&fea ... - LifeSaverS, on 04/25/2009, -0/+3like that guy who wanted to commit suicide... jumped and didn't die and then swam away from the rescue boats because he wanted to just freeze to death? that was epic. I can't imagine the mental state you'd have to be in to try to commit suicide by jumping from the top of the largest waterfall in the world - SURVIVING with barely a scratch - and then STILL floating around to die from the cold water refusing to be saved
- blapierre, on 04/25/2009, -0/+3Anyone could do that.
- adventflux, on 04/25/2009, -0/+3I'm Chinese and my stepmom talks like this::shudder::
- ghatid, on 04/25/2009, -0/+3I'm curious, would it really help save you to break up the surface tension with an explosion? I mean, it would definitely help, but can you survive? (Yea yea, it's a movie...)
I'm an engineer so I'm curious. - thedrue, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2Does the reporter really have to be so frantic?
- Sejes89, on 04/25/2009, -0/+240 ft might be a record to an asian man, but to those of us who are taller than 5 feet, its no record at all. lol
- LayLadyLay, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2From personal experience growing up in Hawaii, I would very much disagree with ghatid. Waterfall diving (jumping) is a pretty popular activity in the islands, especially outside of Oahu. Generally, it is not that uncommon for the locals to jump 60 ft waterfalls, where the pounding water makes breaks the surface tension. As for rocks, waterfalls usually have a deeper section directly in front of the falls where the pounding water has eroded away the rocks <-- that's where you jump. This video was not that impressive.
It hurts like a bitch if you don't pull your cheeks tight. - skwattingdog, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2It's not the jump that'll get you. Hell, it's not even the possibility of rocks at the bottom in this case. It's the eddies at the base of the fall that will suck you back under and hold you there that you need to look out for.
- ThatSwedishGuy, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2Oh snap, didn't know chinese tv was just as crazy as japanese tv :P Dugg for mandarin.
- Myztry, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2I'm really not getting what the big deal is. 10 Metres is not a big deal for diving. We have an ex-quarry not far away that has a 10 Metres diving platform (3 level; 5,7.5 & 10 Metres) and hundreds of kids dived of it each day during summer for at least a decade. You can get hurt hitting the water at that height, and it has indeed been fenced off since such did indeed happen. Still a minor risk for anyone with the confidence to attempt it. (A friend did it in pitch black - I balked at that one...)
Now the waterfull is slightly higher at 12.19M but the waterfall serves to aerorate the water, lessing the water density and the danger with flat (belly whacking) impact. The would also be some downward current, but as long as the water is deep enough it would be all too easy. The current might sweep you down but it would also pull you back up. - nxs80, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1I would expect some big stones where he dives in...
- iEATcatFOOD, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Snaaaaake!!!
- inactive, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Yeah, but this is a waterfall dive, not a high dive. So it's the world record.
- theanticrust1, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1This doesn't seem that hard to do. Can someone explain why this takes more skill than jumping off a cliff?
- JimSwarthow, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1she must die
- borez, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1I take your puny 40ft jump and raise you 132ft. FTAW
- jamdogg, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1That's true but it seemed the water volume wasn't that high. He was able to stand in the current at the top of the falls without getting washed over. This suggests the eddie currents would not have been overly forceful.
- CBOOTY, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1There's been a few people that have gone over Niagara falls and lived and it's 4x as high as this. This is a hair taller than the top diving board.
- Ockniel, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1SHUT THE @#$% UP, LADY
- tloftxj, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1he's a hater
- Ribbott, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCtxiNIuS5E
Coincidence? I think not. - ltethe, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Not impressed. As long as the river is deep, this is hardly impressive. I've done 40ft cliff dives all the time, and I've got a friend who does 90ft cliff dives. And we have no special skills at all, we're just stupid and young.
- bashnu, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1She has a annoying voice.
- freakyflow, on 04/26/2009, -0/+1I have jumped stuff much higher and its not even worth mentioning let alone a 40ft cliff, lol what a joke.
- rentdn, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I bet this is even more extremal type of diving , rather then shrk diving about which I've learned in http://www.dailyscubadiving.com . I wonder about what she was thinking while preparing to jump . Damn thats really scary and I don't dare even to imagine it . Well great achievement though, most people wouldn't even try.
- leesw, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Great way to spend your summer!
- firewall1, on 04/28/2009, -0/+1I had to mute that screaching bitch.
- cshorn, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1damn....and I thought I was doing well at 171ft ¬_¬
- captain4004, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1WOW! ***** Bonzai!!!!!
- reefsurfer226, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1the world record for highest waterfall (in a kayak) was set just the other day i think it was 187ft
http://bit.ly/13cStv - adventflux, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Way better than that stupid texting record.
- RAAFStupot, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1I like how he uses zinc cream to protect his nose.
- bashnu, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1Link seems to have dived.
