Not only wasn't it any conclusion -- foregone or otherwise -- Big Brown came in DEAD LAST. The greeks believed in Hubris. Excessive Pride. And indeed, Mr. Dutrow, exhibited that... And reaped the consequences.
Just a little greek lesson in humility, some literary food for thought.

They will make MILLIONS -- I'm not kidding -- by putting the horse to pasture to charge for mating Big Brown. This is exactly how champions are bread. And one of the MAIN REASONS owners want to win these races. Certainly they would have made MILLIONS MORE if they won the triple crown, but there's no way in hell that horse is being destroyed.
