- JD52, on 10/10/2007, -7/+75The same thing that happens to most cheerleaders. She married her high school sweetheart, got knocked up therefore never made it to college. She stays at home with the kids, weighs three bills and spends her days buying ***** on QVC and trying to convince her husband that he shouldn't divorce her "because of the kids". Common story.
O wait... you mean with regard to her injuries..... eh.. - aurrea, on 10/10/2007, -3/+69What exactly was that guy on the escalator attempting?
I saw no other potential outcome other than: Broken face - boris92, on 10/10/2007, -1/+37Wow I really want to know what happed to that cheerleader.
- subterfuge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+35to the escalator guy: normally when you jump, you try to land on your feet, not your chest and face.
- SEANWOOKIE, on 10/10/2007, -0/+33One of the last things that develop in your brain is fear and reason.
- bigfkncee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29i wanna know who's idea it was to put a net in front of him but no net under him.
- geezshock, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26apparently these are the failed audition tapes from NBC's Heroes.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27Setting oneself on fire is hyper-stupid.
- flareback, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24the escalator thing was doomed from the beginning. The guy setting himself on fire, yeah, I don't feel sorry for him.
- dannyboy3020, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20The second one was gruesome :[
- visionviper, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21wtf was the first stunt supposed to be? Was he supposed to hang on to the net or something? I don't get it. Even worse though that he died.
- BackEnThaWomb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18how did you type "said?" the "i" is all the way over there!
- twishart, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14There's a *correct* way to leap down an entire escalator? I like the way he just superman'd the whole thing.
- bigfkncee, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14ok. i encourage you to be the first to step up. i'll bring the camera.
- nihilite, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13You try that, and when you land in the net, ask yourself this: where is that 800lb motorcycle going to land?
- nihilite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10'Don't scratch the paint" LOL! Who needs birth control? Let's give everyone with a mullet a sportbike.
- bigfkncee, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11i couldnt understand that one either.they had the forsight to put a net in front of him but didnt put one under him? wtf?!!
p.s.: i think you're talking about the second video, not the first. if i'm wrong,my bad. - Wisgary, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10As far as I can tell it looked like his dumb ass was trying to do a flip and land all cool or at the very least roll into the fall, too bad the floor rolled into his face.
- brundlefly76, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Amazingly, she was fine...
http://www.click2houston.com/news/9809025/detail.h ... - cgruber, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7So....when your stunt involves setting yourself on fire, what's the expected outcome?
- dragonlor20, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Given the alternatives, I think I would take my chances with the 800lb motorcycle... or gorilla for that matter.
- byt123, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5A spot on Digg??
- WikiEasy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7At least this guy is honest with himself. Admit it, most of you are sitting there feeling entertained. Like you really give a ***** about what happened to those people.
- coasterswim, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I bet he was trying to grab the rails and swing his feet back under him to land, but that clearly was never going to work.
- TradaPIB, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8We are repelled by these things yet want to watch. Humans are yucky.
- byt123, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Love the phrase 'hyper-stupid'!! Had to do a google search to see what that brings up... some great Hyper Stupid stuff ! :)
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Not really that amazing. She landed almost flat on the upper part of her back. so a large area took the brunt of the impact (and not her head). If you are going to fall, its one of the better ways to land.
- OHaloThar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5lol @ escalator kid, he got what he deserved for trying that
- TomJohn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Sounds like time well spent.
- TradaPIB, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yucky.
- ByteGuerilla, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I believe the idea is that he kicks off the bike and grabs the net, so the bike is underneath him at this point, so the bike drops and he doesn't.
- EBoombastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It looks like he was trying to get his legs up onto the rails so he could slide down.
- l0k0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The subtitles/captions for the first vid are priceless. Dugg.
- TheAbsintheHare, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Nah, what he was attempting to do is a superman escalator slide. You run and jump forward as he did, grab the rails with your hands, then hook your feet over the rails behind you so that you're in a 'superman' or flying squirrel type pose as you slide down. The friction from your hands and feet on the rails slows you down enough that when you get to the bottom you don't go flying off the end.
- Ultrace, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's really not all that bad. You don't get to see close-ups of any injuries, apart from a little blood on the floor from the escalator person. The fatal net jump is indeed fatal, but it's a quick fall and shot from far away. The first one is the most squeam-inducing IMO, but I also watched it without sound. The above-mentioned soundtrack may indeed mitigate some of the horror for all I know...
- glinsvad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2maybe the white X was velcro?
- herro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2mission accomplished!
- mrkyle72, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Man I really want to know how their recoveries went and how long they took. But man... ouch... Especially that escalator guy, that's a perfect example of natural selection.
- grabastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2But the very last thing to develop in your brain is the ability to tell the difference between one thing and two things.
- 83457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2to me, inches from death and not dying = amazing
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2my mind is about to explode trying to figure out what the guy in the second video (motorcycle to net) was trying to do... anyone got a clue other than suicide?
- SEANWOOKIE, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's not like I can edit that one thing now can I?
- SEANWOOKIE, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's not like I can edit that one thing now can I?
- bigp3rm, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Ready? Ok!..
- Fanrir, on 10/10/2007, -8/+10That one was especially hard to watch. And the said thing is he probably has 5-7 kids.
- mikesbaker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2ahh dumbasses hurting themselves... a large part of why the internet was invented.
- Aufverdsing, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I never knew so much blood could come from one kids face that fast, but I also never knew that someone dumb enough to try to jump down an escalator.
- TomJohn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I invariably feel great about myself after seeing desperately stupid people doing stuff like this.
- DavePee, on 10/10/2007, -7/+9Ooh, that's gotta hurt!... what a bunch of dumbasses.
- grabastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah, totally classic line... totally funny how he's still concerned for the bike when it's obviously totalled......wait a minute now, i've got a thought kicking around in my skull....you don't think... he couldn't possibly be expressing sarcasm, now could he??
