- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+8It's a little like soccer.
Some countries love it, some are barely aware of it. - s6t9eve, on 07/06/2008, -2/+9"Given the recent Viacom ruling however it remains to be seen just how much they'll be tracking you whilst you do so."
Why can't you leave your opinion's out of your submissions instead of inserting cheap and irrelevant statements you know will get you diggs? - galanz, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7Versus network in the US, OLN in Canada.
- jseres, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6Galanz has it, the largest annual sporting event. Yes, not even the Superbowl comes close.
- Rotzooi, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6Last year's Tour had between 15 and 20 million live spectators, on the road sides, in three weeks. That makes it #1 in the world.
- pauls88, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6idiot
- galanz, on 07/06/2008, -1/+7It's the biggest annual sporting event in the world.

- sugarbob, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5hey who broadcasts le Tour de France in the US?
- sugarbob, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3cheers, galanz :)
- rblancarte, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3With Google having the satellite view, it is really cool - this is even more so. I am watching the coverage live right now, and saw them pass a church in Lanrodec, and I was able to find them on the map and see the church in street view.
Good stuff. - inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3I second that motion.
- eeevildictator, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3slower on the uphill though!
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -3/+6It's a little like soccer and geography.
Pretty much everyone on the planet knows about it except for americans. - isuisorisuaint, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3i just spent 45 min going up and down the side streets of france...***** awesome.
- MrMinit, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Here is the complete tour as a .kmz, viewable in Google Earth. I love this!

- eihwaz, on 07/06/2008, -1/+4I didn't know Google had started taking pictures in Europe, all I've seen so far was in the USA.
- halfdirt, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2sacre bleu
- halfdirt, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2My balls and neck have never been the same since switching to a recumbent.
- SomeImagination, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Strange, all the faces are blurred out :/
- Thrilltone, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Are they? Comfortable on hills though. I live in a very hilly area and my 24 speed handles them all easily.

My only transportation for 10 years was a bike and I grew to hate them. Love them now, since I got the recumbent. - Jeffler, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Sorry, the answer we were looking for was Reebok. Reebok.
Thanks for playing! - UnterDenLinden, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2And Versus is finally in HD!
- andrewtheart, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2I wouldn't put it past Google to somehow virtualize the Tour so that no real physical activity is needed.
- Rotzooi, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2As are many of the license plates. Interesting.
- Tooch07, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1I can't wait until more of Europe is covered in Street View.
- galanz, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1Pretty much, they're also dangerous in large groups which is the main reason they were banned by the UCI.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Recumbent riders seem to be a bit weird though. not off road unicycle weird, but still weird
- mikephimikephi, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Carried
- IronDonut, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Yeah... recumbent bikes... the only thing they do better than a conventional bike is go fast in a straight line. A traditional bike will handle better / turn harder. Climb better. Descend better. Accelerate better. Go faster in a sprint. And really only old men, hippies and weirdos ride them.
There is no way a recumbent bike could be competitive in the Tour. - vdogg89, on 07/06/2008, -0/+0seriously, I thought this was 2008, not 1998
- Mononuclear, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1I agree. Viacom has absolutely nothing to do with google maps or any other google products besides google video and youtube.
If you didn't already know that google tracks your search terms and which google products you use then you need to get out of your hole in the rock because it has be known for a long time.
If google logging the IP of every page visit on one of their sites disturbs you then get off the internet because pretty much every website does it. - phreak79, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1Irrelevant? So this story about a privacy group issuing a legal challenge over Street view isn't relevant?

Perhaps you can do your research before making daft comments. - halfdirt, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1Oh how quite daft, I do say!
- IronDonut, on 07/07/2008, -0/+0Galanz. Completely with you man. Everytime I hear some pro-recumbent propaganda it makes me want to punch someone in the mouth. The only cycle design that handles worse than a recumbent is the penny farthing.
I would love to the the carnage of a group of recumbents decending down an Alpine pass. - halfdirt, on 07/06/2008, -1/+1*****( Viacom)ing Awesome ^o^
- pauls88, on 07/06/2008, -4/+3or just not take any interest....
- Thrilltone, on 07/06/2008, -5/+2Bicycle racing banned the recumbent bike many years ago, because uprights can't compete.
World speed record is held by a recumbent.
They don't wreck your balls and neck, either. - jaalin, on 07/06/2008, -6/+2are the satellites able to see which riders have abnormally high EPO levels?
- AdenFraser, on 07/06/2008, -12/+2wow.. 50 diggs + its popular.. is tour de france really that popular?
- Earendil1, on 07/06/2008, -10/+0Nobody wants Google Street View in Europe.
Google = FAIL - inactive, on 07/06/2008, -18/+1Tour de France = bunch of gay guys on bikes
