The Brett Hull call was terrible. They changed the rule the next year so something like that couldn't happen again. - treed, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4You were expecting something else from the Sports section? On sportsillustrated.cnn.com?
- dafragsta, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Say what you want about judging people by appearance, but would ANY of you answer the door if you looked through the peep hole and saw anything resembling most of that White/Black Sox lineup?
- kmadigan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3How about Janet Gretzky and Rick Tocchet's betting scandal? That's way bigger than the Hull skate-in-crease.
- bbhh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3no. based on the rule and the way it was called all season the absolute wrong call was made. that being said it was a stupid rule and should have never existed, and the rule was changed in the off season. im no buffalo fan, but it definitely shouldn't have counted at the time.
- Pake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2#8 is awesome. Who would of thought to use the subway system to win a marathon? And #25 is absolutely ridiculous for even showing up on the list.
- h2g242, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2does vick and the dogfighting count as a scandal? thats as bad as the point shaving scandal going on in the nba right now imho
- Dayz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4This is more like Top 25 sport scandals
- gradeahonky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I was about to digg this because I thought all of the scandals were on the first page, and it was a joke about how the last non-drug scandal was in 1919. Kind of like how Mr. Burns ringer team was mostly retired and dead.
Then I realized it was just another sentence per page per 1000 ads piece of ***** - bkool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Whyyyyyyy? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"
It's sad, but #4 made me chuckle. - afruff23, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"22 Gaylord Perry's ball doctoring, 1962-1983"

There's a description of each scandal to the right of each picture. - goonbaggins, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2It's ridiculous that #25 (Brett Hull's skate) is even on this list.
Most experts agree that the refs made the right call. It's just Buffalo fans complaining. - Pake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0That's because if soccer was on the list, we wouldn't see any of the other scandals except for the first 3 considering it's long list of them (so only the World Cup is allowed to make the list). Not to mention, Sports Illustrated is an American magazine.
- JackHorner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0should have named this the infamous list of sports related scandals that no one cares about.
- babybitch, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1i clicked my way all the way to seven when i relized that this article is all about sports..........booooooooooooooooo!
i know......i'm dumb - Pake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0First 3 meaning popular American sports, since #2 is obviously soccer.
- Lunarshadow, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1No Montreal Screwjob? No digg.
- jiub, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Theres a short 3-4 sentence description on the right side. Took me a little bit to find it too.
- laguar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0Too American centric. 15/25 are basketball/baseball. Yawn, no digg.
- corygrimes, on 10/10/2007, -9/+6It would be nice if there was a description of each incident, for those of us who don't know.
- masfenix, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Amazing players. Classic.
