- speedk0re, on 08/12/2008, -5/+18why am i not on this? I used to win NHLPA 93 games on my sega genesis™ by scores like 32 - 1
- thegrantman, on 08/12/2008, -1/+8I played an entire game of ultimate frisbee....and I wasn't stoned.
- Aceman196, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6What about Muhammed Ali?
- Jeffler, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6Because NHL 94 was better. ROENICK FTW
- orangefly, on 08/12/2008, -1/+5i once won a tecmo bowl game 99-00....
montana to rice, endzone to endzone ft rediculous w.... - Aceman196, on 08/12/2008, -1/+5Yeah the Christian way is to preach love and peace in church but when you go home you beat your wife and kids.
- artofficial, on 08/12/2008, -1/+5You sir, are religulous.
- Jeffler, on 08/12/2008, -2/+6Correlation does not imply causation...
Christians just happen to be the majority where most of them are from. It means absolute *****. - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -2/+5Not to mention what Earnhardt's death did to the window decal industry.
- Zipko, on 08/12/2008, -6/+9This list was a disappointment. I was hoping for athletes who actually changed sports, not civil rights activists who happened to play sports. Some of the people on the list really did make a big difference in bringing minorities into sports, but half of them had no impact whatsoever.
How about Dale Earnhardt for what his death did to safety standards in racing for one? Not so much a personal accomplishment, but it was more revolutionary than Pat Tillman. - jjhuddle, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Yeah, forget women... They are too busy fixing dinner.
- thegrantman, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3 He should be # 1.
- mrfreeziexp, on 08/12/2008, -1/+3I'm christian and even I don't believe this.. >_>
- Chatchkie, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2How is Jim Brown ahead of Jackie Robinson?
- JamJosh, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2How is Steve Prefontaine not on there for fighting the AAU.
- deviantsteve, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2That's a ***** accomplishment!
- cawpin, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2How is Jim Thorpe not on the list? He's the greatest football player to ever play the game. He'd fit right in on the list, too. He was a native American dominating a professional sport during a time when they weren't exactly given the best treatment.
- Soulglow, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2A tidbit about John Carlos and Tommie Smith...
The reason why one has his left hand up and the other his right is because one of them forgot their gloves, so they shared a pair. This was actually the idea of the 2nd place Australian athlete, Peter Norman who's not pictured. - perdeisel, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1I guess you would calll him a martyr. I call him a dead ***** idiot who was going to fast. He wasn't an athlete but you are an idiot.
- haydesigner, on 08/12/2008, -3/+4"Only religion will help people to achieve such feats."
Only only religion has caused virtually every major war.
How do you wrap your head around that one? - albinorhino101, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Blasphemy
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Probably because by the time women actually got GOOD at sports, all of the women's rights/civil rights progress had already been made. There simply weren't any new torches for them to carry (so to speak).
- FonzsXe, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1@perdeisel
DIGG!!! - quomen, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2Jackie should be higher.
- McMahon9, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Ouch
- wsuvtx, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1I agree. What about all the baseball players that served during WWII? I am sorry that he was killed by friendly fire, but come on what does this have to do with his athletics?
- DigitalBullet36, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Not a bad list. To those wondering why they were no women on the list, or why there were predominantly more black people...if you read King magazine, which I assume some people here do not based on the comments, you would know that King is an "urban" men's magazine.
- cawpin, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2Yes hes does, on both counts. He's a stupid punk that got what he deserved.
Who doesn't deserve to be on it? Barry Bonds. Allegations do not proof make. - zionsrogue, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1 “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic,” said the man whose name is now honored by the US Open stadium in New York. “It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”
Hear that sound? It's Ayn Rand rolling over in her grave. - BlockedUser, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1http://wordpress.com/tag/kobe-bryant-sex-scandal/
http://walkoffbalk.blogspot.com/2008/01/randy-moss ... - FonzsXe, on 08/12/2008, -1/+1you're kidding right? nascar? unless one of these necks invent the cure for the hiv....."athletes" making giant left turns will never get any love....and rightfully so
Ricky Bobby FTW!! - FonzsXe, on 08/12/2008, -1/+1epic
- wsuvtx, on 08/13/2008, -1/+1Why Kobe or Randy?
- mujahideenryder, on 08/12/2008, -1/+1God is great!
- MrJesse34, on 05/12/2009, -0/+0www.fishaddix.com - New fishing website devoted to social networking for fishermen!! Its free to join, and its a very powerful tool to meet new fishing partners, see what people in your area are catching, show off what you recently caught, and learn from other fishermen!! Completely revolutionary interface.
- Seekness, on 08/13/2008, -0/+0I'm sorry, but Etan Thomas is NOT a revolutionary! Should we call Carlos Delgado one too for refusing to acknowledge the national anthem after we declared war on Iraq? Also, all due respect to Tillman but I'm not exactly sure how he "scored in his struggles for change".
- smrekar, on 08/12/2008, -1/+1interesting that all of the ads are for voluptuous African-Americans and the top 9 revolutionaries are African-American. Tillman was a revolutionary? not sure that this article was all that imaginative. I would prefer to see people like Carl Lewis, Michael Phelps, Emil Zatopek, Alexander Karelin, Sergei Bubka and the team from Cool Runnings. Or the Hurricane?
- meropealcyone, on 08/12/2008, -1/+0No Jean Marc Bosman? What a joke.
- kd420, on 08/12/2008, -4/+3I noticed the list had mostly black people, due to their civil rights accomplishments, but no women. Now, I don't know of any women who should be on there, so maybe THAT should be an article.
- ericthegreat, on 08/12/2008, -3/+2"Phoenix Cardinals"? That makes it sound like some rinky dink AFL team.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -2/+1Jack Johnson (Galveston Giant) could arguably go on the list as well, but I don't know if he necessarily stood for anything other than pounding people's face in while mocking them.
- NicholasLeone, on 08/12/2008, -5/+3Jackie Robinson was still a Dodger. Go Giants.
- fotorobot, on 08/12/2008, -5/+2wow, and they are all american athletes. how balanced.
- Zipko, on 08/12/2008, -5/+2Common, you're not even trying.
/lrn2troll - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -7/+2I said "were".I will not hate you just becoz your attention is low thats not the christian way.
