- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -6/+33LOL! What's next? Tiddly-winks to Metallica?
- Takteek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Definitely could have used some slow motion... I had to replay a few of those shots to see where the ball was. Very cool though.

this is even better :D - Amything, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17Hmm I didn't see that coming! What a weird front page story.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14i jumped off the empire state building and lived, unfortunately the battery on my camera just ran out too!! :S
- JavertHolmes, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14I'd like to present the top 10 superlatives used in Digg's video and games sections:
10. All time/All-time
9. Best
8. Worst
7. Highest
6. Scariest
5. Ever
4. Greatest
3. Funniest
2. Addictive (superlative relative to "fun" or "enjoyable")
1. Addicting - berfmurret, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17i was thinking the same thing. punk music and ping pong? wtf?
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Amazing!
- cutechimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Actually, real East Asian people probably wouldn't digg it, because we've watched enough to know that these are by no means top 10.
- teben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9as a former tabletennis player myself, who was roughly average in skill for my club and reasonably serious (playing about 4 hours a week), I can say these were nothing special. I'd have similar bouts quite often and thought nothing of it, and see them occur frequently
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I would agree for the first few, but once you get down to 5 or so they get pretty intense. I wouldn't say top 10 shots, maybe top 10 volleys?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6my best ping was 12ms, those were the days
- lazydrumhead, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It is rather difficult to follow the ping pong ball without slowmo, and the pop punk didn't help much either.
Still cool though. - oMavericko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Top 10 of all time hey? Or was it just the top 10 from the 15 clips you had your hands on? :)
- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6i love ping pong, and the level of play here is amazing, but i really dont think these are the top 10 greatest plays of all time. Most of it just looks like stuff you'd see at any pro ping pong match on espn or at the Olympics
- icepick314, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6now i need to get Table Tennis for X360...
damm you Rockstar!! - twtmc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Tiddly Winks and metallica, eh? I'd watch it!
- cockmaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5WHAT? I think THIS should be #1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9UyQMnO3qg - zengame, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I found this.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8667280045303546035 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7People in prison just play with balls, not the table.
- kenahoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think this should be called "Top 10 Ping Pong Ralleys Indistinguishable From Most Other Ralleys By Pretty Good Players". Oh, "Of All Time."
- StephenChow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4BALLWECHSEL!!!!!!!
- vlurk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6It was "The Kids Aren't Alright". Excellent song.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4jesus number one was amazing. the ball had so much spin it looked like he was just tomahawking the paddle straight down.
- Lazrius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I saw one once where one guy was returning slams form the STANDS! Then he eventually won the point. That was the best I've ever seen.
- Disease, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'll get right on it
- NJShadow, on 10/12/2007, -10/+13I would have to say that "awesome"is an understatement. That rocked! Especially with the Offspring music in the background.
- BionicBeefpile, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think I saw Jesper in there a few times...
Nice vid - UrlorJkron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well that was an exhibition game. Very cool though. It's against to rules to touch the table so the guy lost his point at the end.
Why can't submitter label things like: 10 cool Table Tennis rallies. Saying "All time" or "b3st 3v4r" tend to fill up the comment section with complaints. (And ironically I just added another.) - fredrated, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2These are pretty good, but I recommend getting a tape of the world championships for table tennis aficionados.
I like the 1997 world championship men's singles. Walgren of Sweden did something never done before and will probably never be done again. He won the men's singles title without loosing a single game. From the first round to the championship he won every match without loosing a game. - swindmill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At a certain level of play, the game must be called 'table tennis'....Calling it Ping Pong at this level is like calling silk tissue Kleenex...only a lot worse
- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i dont think the number really matters its the intensity of the game.
i could have 100 volleys but not at that speed or level of spin - crawf061, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3yeah... maybe for the shots that weren't recorded they could have interviewed the witnesses. That would have made for a great video.
ex:
"and so he did this crazy matrix move and hit the ball with so much spin that it took a 130 degree turn half way to the other side... that's right, the ball actually started coming back towards his side of the table" - Mac2492, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OLD...
(Hehehe...) - Bloc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah! Why do the play with such a tiny ball?!
If i set the rules they'd play with a ball the size of a football... - sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Exactly what I was thinking, that clip is better than all 10 of these put together.
- unfinite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess only one person caught the joke...Beerfest quote if anyone was wondering.
- Bloc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if you're refering to a tennis style volley where the ball doesn't bounce, then this would be illegal in the rules of table tennis..
- nstern2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought this was gonna be on techeblog. I'm hoping whoever owns that site will get on this. -Thank you.
- chanstheorem, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This is one of the most underrated sports of all time. It's the quickest ball sport I can think of. It's very easy to pick up but takes an incredible amount of skill to play properly.
- user777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1lol, i was good at ping pong once, won a tiny hs tournament, until i started tennis, then all my ping pong shots were off, went back and forth a couple of times, and now i suck at both ... grinnns..... >:(
- ngfkjiohodns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh. Didn't see the 'ping' part.
- RockOfVictory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Fast forward and just watch the top three. The rest are truly typical professional shots.
- acdbx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1they are not called "volleys"... they are called "rallies"
- petrman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3There was this one guy I saw a while back who owned on the table, something Gump was his name....
- DiggedBy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i thought the same thing while i was watching it... how could they have missed that clip, it's been all over the place.
- phenolholic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i've seen a way better footage than the number 1. some oriental guys. i think it might be on ebaumsworld. i dont recall
- blakholephysics, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I think I saw that shot you were talking about!!!!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8079411349144989883 - broosewee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's a great Japanese movie, appropriately titled "Ping Pong", made in 2003 which reminds me of the #1 players' styles. The movie itself was kick-ass, I'd highly recommend checking it out for you ping pong fans (or anybody remotely interested in table tennis)!
- unfinite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"So I was playing Ping Pong in Ding Dang......."
