- sychodan, on 06/18/2009, -0/+8Maybe cockfighting is just rooster UFC??
- fernandor93, on 06/18/2009, -0/+6That first round was ridiculous
- jaxomlotus, on 06/18/2009, -0/+6I am afraid of Mike Tyson
- AaronS2000, on 06/18/2009, -0/+5dugg for the Coming to America clip at the end.
- yeeaauuh, on 06/18/2009, -2/+6Hagler vs Hearns. Hands down the best fight of all time. UFC = Human cockfighting
- wbeavis, on 06/18/2009, -0/+3There is an error in the article. A very obvious one. Tyson vs Spinks. He fought Michael not Leon.
- dialectical, on 06/18/2009, -0/+3No knockout compilation is complete without Merciless Ray Mercer completely #$#$! up the younger Tommy Morrison.

- onederboy, on 06/18/2009, -0/+2Did you even read the blurbs or watch the vids? Buster Brown.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n36pbHG4sgw&eur ... - itc518, on 06/18/2009, -1/+3Great list! I love boxing but unfortunately MMA has been eclipsing it. There are some great boxers out there in the lightweight classes, unfortunately we have not had a GREAT heavyweight in quite a while. Growing up I remember watching all the Tyson fights, before he turned into a mess. I def remember the Tyson-Douglas fight well though, that was a good fight.
- itsmikey, on 06/18/2009, -0/+2In fact I did. And I think you mean Buster Douglas. Tyson was dealing with a lot of personal and professional issues at the time, like divorce from his first wife and the firing of his trainer a year earlier. He was hardly "in his prime" at that point.
- jocknerd, on 06/18/2009, -0/+2His prime was gone the day he got involved with Robin Givens and Don King. Those two effectively ended his career. He had the potential to be the greatest of all-time, but he needed to be handled like a thoroughbred race horse and locked away in his paddock every night.
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -0/+2Yes, you must choose one side or the other and defend it to the death. Never let praise for any other combat sport cross your lips.
- ninerskeet, on 06/18/2009, -0/+2Dugg for the sweet science!
- itsmikey, on 06/18/2009, -3/+4I don't care who he's fighting, iron mike was unstoppable in his prime
- terracottapai, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1DOWN GOES FRAZIER! DOWN GOES FRAZIER!
Well some respect to repeated knockdowns instead of knockouts, why not? Still just destroyed him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9q7mvc6bsY - inactive, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1That's not really a "classic knockout", now is it?
- itsmikey, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1He would beat Ali. His mind games wouldn't work, Ali would be terrified.
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1Yeah, the simple truth is that the public loves HWs and doesn't really care as much about the smaller guys. I guess it's something about the spectacle of watching huge guys beat the hell out of each other? There are tons of great smaller guys out there, but the world is waiting for that next great HW champ.

- Nick519, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1no mention of the "fight of the century", no digg. jack johnson versus james jeffries, 1910 — an amazing bout. jack johnson was the original gangsta: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Johnson_(boxer)
- rblancarte, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1my favorite fight of all time. I remember watching that live. Great stuff.
Dugg just for that fight alone. - jabbajabba, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1Of course then there is his brother Vitali as well with the WBC belt and 37 wins 36 (by KO) and 2
Losses. - Rulex, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1There must be a dude somewhere around here saying that pacquiao is better.
It happens in all boxing forums, and posts in the interwebs. - Hellahulla, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1What a load of hogwash these fights are! I once watched Gentleman Jim Corbett fight an Eskimo fellow bare-knuckled for a hundred and thirteen rounds. Back then, of course, if the fight lasted less than fifty rounds, we demanded our nickel back.
- jabbajabba, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1Thats only the case in the US though.
If we take the UFC (could be argued to be the largest and most competive MMA promotion of the moment) you have a heavyweight champion who has been in MMA for two years with a 2-1 record.
In HW boxing you have Wladimir Klitschko a IBF, WBO, IBO undisputed title holder with a record like follows;
Total fights 55
Wins 52
Wins by KO 46
Losses 3
But I suppose the big thing here is that he is not American.
Lets hope Fedor somehow gets to fight in the UFC (another Russian!) or Cain Velasquez keeps stepping up his game. - Rulex, on 06/18/2009, -0/+1I don't think cameras where invented yet dude...
- marko312, on 06/18/2009, -0/+019 years later and I can still can't believe Tyson got knocked-out in his prime...
- bigtotoro, on 06/18/2009, -0/+0Hearns/Duran belonged on the list over Tyson/Douglas.
- elmontsmilitia, on 06/18/2009, -0/+0wait one minute...how the hell if Tyson vs. Berbick not on the page???
forward to 2:10

- sychodan, on 06/18/2009, -2/+1YOU GOT KNOCKED THE ***** OUT!!!
- Lennox24, on 06/18/2009, -2/+0Buster Douglas is from Columbus, OH. I used to train at his gym, where I regularly got my ass handed to me by 12 year old kids (I was 22). I never met him, but my friend did once at a Waffle House. Said he was a nice guy. <--all true.
- RadiatedAnt, on 06/18/2009, -3/+1HaHa Classic!
