- Eisen4, on 05/05/2009, -2/+16If I were a betting man I could have paid off all of my debts and loans for under $2000.
- weweresaved, on 05/05/2009, -1/+9I know I'm going to be digged down and all that fun stuff, but for a $9,500 claimer, this horse sure did go above and beyond any expectations anyone had. There are people that invest millions in this race and to have someone like this win it all, it's very crazy and conspiracy filled. I don't really know what my point of this comment is, but for you non horse racing fans, you witnessed something happen that is one in a million.
- Kosgey69, on 05/05/2009, -1/+8I was hoping they would have pictures of the hidden tree entrance to where the elves live underground...
- inactive, on 05/05/2009, -1/+8I bet on the winning horse, I am now a millionaire.
- MonoDede, on 05/05/2009, -0/+5Actually it's 50 to 1.
- djmonarck, on 05/05/2009, -1/+5I went to the Derby for the first time this year and I must say it exceeded all of my expectations. The infield is like Mardi Gras, Halloween and a major sporting event rolled into one. It might be the only place I think I'll ever get to see a guy dressed in an Incredible Hulk costume run through a slip-and-slide. Definitely an event I recommend going to at least once in your life.
- partysan, on 05/05/2009, -0/+4A $2000 superfecta would've been worth $557 million on Saturday.
- Shawno1, on 05/05/2009, -1/+4I'm not a big fan of the Kentucky Derby but i must say, these are good pictures.
- wildcat156, on 05/05/2009, -1/+4Derby was great this year, can't wait for the Preakness... I don't see a triple crown happening
- gooch3803, on 05/05/2009, -1/+4spread the wealth, i need college money.
- Acolyte357, on 05/07/2009, -0/+2can you say not enough cops to police the city and the Derby? They have been there every year, this is nothing new. Please put your tin foil beanie back on before they scan your brain.
- MattZed, on 05/05/2009, -1/+3And you're still on digg.
- Acolyte357, on 05/07/2009, -0/+2They always have enough cash, or they won't take the bet.
- partysan, on 05/05/2009, -1/+2Federal bailout
- NinjaGod, on 05/05/2009, -3/+4Where were all the ***** I heard about?
- RTFMA, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1That's correct. The odds are set based on how much cash would have to be paid out to cover the bets.
- Foot56, on 05/05/2009, -1/+2Just curious, what happens if they don't have enough cash?
- GB570, on 05/05/2009, -1/+2Back in the 90s my friends little sister won 200 dollars on "the pretty horse"
- jemka, on 05/05/2009, -1/+2Because once you're a millionaire, you don't use digg.com
- Tddupre, on 05/05/2009, -1/+2my stepdad won over $1000 b/c he bet for the winning horse
- gooch3803, on 05/05/2009, -2/+2the infield.
- peestandingup, on 05/05/2009, -2/+2You've obviously never been to the Derby in Louisville or at Keeneland in Lexington. Most people in general could give a rats ass about the horses. Its mostly an excuse to have a giant alcohol fueled social party.
Think snazzily dressed dudes & chicks with cute accents wearing little cleavage-revealing dresses all drunk mingling together with some horse racing here & there going on in the background. Then continuing the party after the race is over well into the night. - gti8v, on 05/05/2009, -1/+1Pie-O-My
- DirtPile, on 05/05/2009, -1/+1The long tracks won't hold Mind That Bird or Borel. Your money is best with the odds.
- NinjaGod, on 05/05/2009, -2/+2FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
- Foot56, on 05/05/2009, -1/+1You're 102,300 dollars in debt? =O
- pyrobyro, on 05/05/2009, -0/+0I cooked for all the rich people at the derby so that was pretty neat. When I watched the race from the fence, the winning horse was in dead last by a long shot when it got to where I was standing.
My mom wanted to bet $10 on Mine That Bird because it had "bird" in the name and was the first to catch her eye. Unfortunately, she didn't get around to telling my uncle who put a lot of money on the race. He probably would have increased her bet a bit more. Oh well. - immatellyouwhat, on 05/05/2009, -1/+1I put it all on Humswhilehepees...
- ivancuriel, on 05/05/2009, -1/+1I saw this live, the owner of the horse is a major dick, I wish he had lost.
- inactive, on 05/05/2009, -2/+1I lol'd
- Donnthom1974, on 05/05/2009, -1/+0The pictures were made by a professional!

Can you say acclimatizing the public to martial law? I knew you could. - AddiX, on 05/05/2009, -6/+3Are we supposed to find a horse not on steroids?
- c0ncept, on 05/05/2009, -13/+7Horse racing is not entertaining.
