- zachgc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+60"God bless those kids... I'm gonna go throw up."
- primehifi, on 10/12/2007, -9/+65They should of just went for another onside kick.
- MikeEnIke, on 10/12/2007, -3/+49You didn't watch the entire clip. You have to watch the very last play of the game.
- brundlefly76, on 10/12/2007, -2/+42Its not that amazing when you consider that neither team seems to have anything resembling a defense.
- brianbennett, on 10/12/2007, -11/+47The whole thing is pretty incredible.
- Humptydank, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Great video. But football aside, I'm pretty sure that was the first time that "schadenfreude" was used by anyone regarding anything in or around Plano, Texas.
- Phyltre, on 10/12/2007, -4/+29You kind of have to understand football for it to make sense. But then, it's a football clip, so that's probably to be expected.
Awesome game-ending. - batmanjr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26I don't know, the whole, "Break out the oreos baby" was pretty funny too.
- twertyto, on 10/12/2007, -10/+32I hate football but that was awesome.
- barnis, on 10/12/2007, -13/+34I'm teaching a class on "American Culture" to Japanese 19-year-olds in osaka, Japan. I might just use this video :)
- cab1030, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23That was simply the best part of the whole clip. "I dun wet my britches." Could there have been a better collection of redneck banter?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20not only do you need to watch the last play of the game, but come on, nothing particularly interesting about that comeback? there were 3 minutes left to go in the 4th quarter and they were down by 24 points. the likelihood of a comeback at that point is incredibly improbable. plano east also made some pretty amazing plays to get back into the game.
- ziffel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20If you didn't find that interesting, you don't like football. Try fast forwarding your browser to a different page.
- GravyTrain6, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Seems fair...but while we are at it...I'm going to start automatically burying comments that have "now less that 3 freakin" spelling mistakes in one sentence.
- Harbinger67, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19THAT'S IT!!! From now on, I'm burying ANY comment that begins with "by CircusNinja"
- otatop, on 10/12/2007, -14/+26Pwned!
God damn, that must have been disappointing. - jdvmi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14That was the worst bus ride home ever. I was on that team. My best friend Philip Hester was the one chasing down the ball carrier on that last kickoff return. We learned a lot from that game. The motivation mostly came from the fact that the Tyler-John-Tyler players were flicking off our fans and coaches and laughing at us.
- rkuchiki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I don't really care for football, but I still found this interesting. Especially the very end.
- TheBigBad, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14How? It flashed the score after every TD.
- NewChar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Maybe a "squib" kick though.
- PeterGandalf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11If the other team touches the ball first, which they did, it doesn't have to go 10 yards.
- RamanujanRedux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Your life must be boring if you cared enough to share your disinterest.
- bdit1200, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13impressive redneckery.
- futureb, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13what about comments that deride digg users for what they think is interesting? shall we bury those?
this is an oldie but a goodie. dugg for being the greatest high school football game ever. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9or greatest. i can't tell.
- canadianguy33, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10haha I can't believe 3 people actually dugg down Bernie.
No one in their right mind would try another onside kick in that situation. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+15show them the Britney Spears goes commando in skirt pics
-z00k - aludwin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8That was incredibly depressing.
- dementia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They were digging him down because the first person said that he had no sound and bernie told him he should have been listening to the commentary.
And an onside kick would have been dumb, they should have done a squib kick - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6pretty close.. it was 1994.
- adie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That might be the worst three minutes of defense I have ever seen in a football game.
- KingAR_II, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Amazing clip... but it's times like this I wish Youtube's video quality was a little better, that thing looked like Madden 92.
- RoboPimp3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5billyboobs34 - you think a 24 point comeback in the final 3 minutes happens all the time? What kind of football did you play? Peewee?
- danteville, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I'm sure that had to be East Plano high school tv announcers. The one guy joked that the other "Big Guy" local TV people had begun packing up their stuff and that they had the only feed. Or something like that.
- xyqxyq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Seriously, where the ***** was their passing defense? Or defense in general for that matter...
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Yea really, do this in the NFL where thing's are more coordinated, and I'll agree it's the greatest.
- Adenosine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Bingo Bango Bongo! That was incredible. But the commentators were a little biased, was that a Plano East Television feed or were they just cheering for the underdog?
- greenamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Do not watch this and the Kiwi video consecutively.
- Lax32, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Thats why you squib it every time in that situation... put it in the hands of some fullback or lineback that couldnt pull a TD return to save his life and let them take it at the 35....
- pathfinder2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5The commentators were pure gold. "I think I've just wet my Breeches".
I'd pay just to hear them. - BernieP85, on 10/12/2007, -12/+15Obviously it was the end of the game...if you listened to the commentary or had an elementary understanding of American Football you would have known this,
- Future2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Why in God's name did they go for two when they were down by four?
- jdvmi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The announcer were invited on Jay Leno and Letterman because of the announcing and how funny it was. One of the announcers was a plano postal worker who did the announcing for fun and his love for football.
- airship, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You go for 2 when you're down by 4 to make it a 2-point game, so a field goal will win it instead of tying it. Of course, if you blow it, then you need a touchdown.
I'm not sure if they play overtime in Texas high school football. If not, they could have gotten a tie on their record instead of a win or loss. - drowe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://espn.go.com/espy2005/s/pastwinners.html
Search for 'Plano East'... - ScottMitchell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4It would also be a good lesson on football. The team in black handled the blitz amazing well, and perhaps the team in white might want to dedicate two DBs to #88?
- n00bst3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thats team that won deserved to lose after going all out blitz like 10 times in a row.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4dig for the word schadenfreude in the headline. spelled correctly too!
