  • pinguwin, on 03/23/2008, -1/+3For those not familiar with it, this is tidal bore surfing. Another place this is done is the Severn River estuary in SW Britian. In such places, once or twice a year, the conditions are such that the tide is unusually high and the tide comes in like a, well, wave. My parents have been places where the tide comes in so violently that they have alarms that sound and you best get off the tidal plain. Cool vid.
