- iLemon, on 01/25/2009, -0/+9Sportscenter said Margarito was trying to cheat before the fight by wrapping a piece of plastic in his gloves.
- polar1126, on 01/25/2009, -0/+6Margarito v Cotto rematch , this time without that mullet head cheating
- threemagic, on 01/25/2009, -0/+4Mosley could have been one of the best of all times. The kid just lost focus during his middle fight life.
- bigtrouble777, on 01/25/2009, -0/+4Margarito was caught with a plaster-like substance on his gloves before the fight. He was forced to rewrap his hands with supervision. If it turns out he tried to cheat I'm going to be so disappointed as he was one of my favorite fighters. This is serious, this is a sport where people can die and any unfair advantage could be be lethal. He damaged Cotto in his last fight, so you have to wonder if he cheated there and if the outcome would have been different. If this rumor is true I hope the sport forgets him forever.
- demne, on 01/25/2009, -0/+3"yawn" - said buy a fat Doritos warcraft player in moms basement.
Margarito v Cotto was awesome. - FuZi0nDET, on 01/25/2009, -0/+3I'm not much of a boxing fan, but this was one hell of a fight. Mosley pounded his ass the entire fight. I thought they should have stopped the fight earlier than they did. I was half expecting him to get knocked out cold he was so out of it and some of the punches that he took were vicious.
- 4ZERO1, on 01/25/2009, -1/+4I still cant believe Cotto lost to this scrub.. I wait for the rematch and hope Cotto breaks one this guys ribs, jaw bone...
- method7670, on 01/25/2009, -0/+2We're nerds you mean?
- IRAcarbombs, on 01/26/2009, -0/+2Totally holding up the "Sugar" in Sugar Shane Mosley
- kano163, on 01/25/2009, -0/+2The Athletic Boxing Commission made him re wrap his hands 3 times.

If you saw the Margarito-Cotto fight, you wouldn't be saying *yawn*, trust me - JigoroKano, on 01/25/2009, -1/+3I was reading through your comment wondering why it was buried... and then I got to the end.
People who love one combat sport and hate another are such fags. You don't appreciate the art of fighting and you aren't a true fan of anything fight related. You're a ***** poser. - Neiby, on 01/26/2009, -0/+2There's still professional boxing? I had no idea.
If a boxing match happens, but no one is around to see it, is there still a winner? - BabyWookie, on 01/26/2009, -0/+1Margarito was a 4 to 1 betting favorite. After the De La Hoya vs Pacquiao, Pavlick vs Hopkins and Jones vs Calzaghe dismantlements, this was yet another great boxing upset. They have all been very fun fights to watch. I just love the underdogs, I guess.
- damack, on 01/26/2009, -0/+1Yeah threemagic I think he got carried away with his abilities.
It happens to a lot of fighters RJJ, Tyson damn even Ali had a few rough scraps due to his own ineptitude. - devfeed, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1Amazing. Is anyone able to open this link? http://homemasters.info
- JigoroKano, on 01/26/2009, -0/+1I doubt you've watched enough to form a real opinion. There are boring fights and exciting fights just like in boxing. Submission grappling can be immensely entertaining.

- ThePhone, on 02/02/2009, -0/+1Wow, dude. First off, you're a douche. Second off, I watch quite a bit of MMA, and am very familiar with Pride, UFC, EliteXC and that Chuck Norris one which was actually pretty sweet (still on the air?). And Third off, submission grappling is RARELY entertaining, unless you have one Brazilian Ju-Jitsu Blackbelt pitted against an old lady.
Ahem...
MMA, how I loathe thee. Let me count the ways.
1. I think its disgusting that in most MMA fighters can actually be knocked out cold and still get repeatedly punch in the face, while their head is firmly pressed against the mat. That's not entertainment. That's horrific, horrific brain damage and incredibly tragic if you know somebody that's gone through that.
2. For about four and a half minutes of each round, we watch to sweaty juice-heads donning speedos roll around on the ground with each other trying to "pass each other's guard." That's not entertainment, either. That's gay. That's really really gay. The absolute most exciting parts of these fights is when the ref FINALLY decides to stand them back up and it looks like they're almost about to actually fight, which normally results in an immediate take down.
3. The dickheaded CEO of UFC, whatever the ***** is name is (I just really don't feel like looking his name up), is a complete and utter piece of *****. He makes himself out to be some tough guy that just loves tough guy stuff, but he's actually some corporate slime ball that buys up all of his competition and exploits fearless, hard working warriors until the day they can't even sound out two syllable words. That AND the fact that he completely shunned Fedor Emlianenko, the BEST heavyweight mixed martial artist on the planet who will probably never get the true recognition he deserves until he bows down and starts slobbing the proverbial corporate knob.
So, yeah. Don't talk to people like you know them. Cause you don't know *****. :\
P.S. Pose on mah dick, bitch! - mgadalsky, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1Wow! Things never change. http://drinkster.info
- bestonline44, on 01/31/2009, -0/+0This is absolutely unbelievable. We blogged about it today at http://www.911bloglines.com. Brandon Estrict, a writer from the Fight Prediction Leagues, Inc., provided us with a blog article today that I thought was worth commenting about here. They are continuing to follow the story. Also, Margarito's boxing license and I believe that of his chief corner man was suspended by the California State Athletic Commission.
- eddiegil, on 01/27/2009, -0/+0Against Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley showed he remains a highly marketable and talented fighter. http://cointry.blogspot.com
- ThePhone, on 01/25/2009, -5/+4The fight actually began to look more and more like any standard Margarito fight, with Margarito taking loads of quick, sharp shots which eventually turned into winding haymakers from a tiring Mosley. Margarito normally loses all of the beginning rounds, coming back in the later rounds as his opponent tires. Where did he go wrong? While Margarito has an incredible chin, legendary for frustrating fast punching sluggers like Mosley, Mosley did what few others have ever done against Margarito, and that is pounding Margarito to the body early in the fight. Finally, in the latter half of the fight, a time when Margarito would normally step up and turn his opponent's face into ground beef, he found himself tired, sluggish and very, very hurt. Nonetheless, at this point in the fight Margarito did what he always does and stood toe to toe with his opponent, who, unfortunately for Margarito fans, happened to be the legendary Sugar Shane Mosley. Margarito was just being hit at will. At the very end of the 8th round, I actually thought they had called the fight, and rightfully so. But, somehow Margarito was allowed to come back out, ending with a humiliating (but well-deserved) loss to a faster, stronger and much older, Sugar Shane Mosley.
PS. ***** MMA. - lilredsammy, on 01/25/2009, -5/+2Does anybody even care about boxing anymore?
