- psevium, on 01/31/2009, -3/+108In other words, Manchester United is now Personchester United, Arsenal changes its name to Behindnal, and Chelsea have moved to the more inclusive 'Alex' team name.
- soogy, on 01/31/2009, -6/+89Did anyone else think this was going to be an Onion article? Silly feminists. I should sue for the years of discrimination against me as a young boy. Why were they allowed to have girls-only slumber parties?!
- inactive, on 01/31/2009, -6/+79Interesting I was never aware that being a boy was sexist.. they should just load up all the train carts and send the boys to the concentration camps.. maybe it will bring about world peace..
- weeFred, on 02/01/2009, -3/+50Does that mean I can now join the Bristol and Avon Chinese Women's Group even though I'm not chinese or female?
- johnsmith3210, on 02/01/2009, -5/+48This is just ***** stupid.
- Tongeh, on 02/01/2009, -5/+47yet again positive discrimination.. The 'Bristol and Avon Chinese Women's Group' being perfectly acceptable... Thats racist AND sexist?? Don't get me started on the MOBO awards...
- yan89, on 02/01/2009, -6/+47Being male is politically incorrect, especially if you're white. Pouching baby seals is probably more politically correct than being a boy nowadays. ***** Political Correctness *****!!!!!! Double standards everywhere (Bristol and Avon Chinese Women's Group)....tomorrow there'll probably be people knocking on my door demanding me to relocate to the ghetto for oppressing, white males. Oh and in case you haven't noticed: on the radical feminists' agenda, all boys are evil oppressing creatures while girls are creative and wonderful and the mean boys are the reason why the pretty girls suck in math.
- DeathRay2K, on 02/01/2009, -2/+34That's not true, the article states that girls were already in it, and the name change didn't make any difference.
In addition, girls-only clubs are funded, just not this club who's name sort of implies boys-only (Even though it wasn't) - Eagle1901, on 02/01/2009, -4/+35Oh for ***** sake
I've had ***** enough with this ***** PC in the damn country. - Fuckmypooplease, on 02/01/2009, -5/+27Well fair enough, if girls are joining then changing the name can't hurt, but why the ***** rule it as sexist? If girls are allowed to join the club in the first place they are clearly not sexist. ***** you, put the kettle on, and where's my sandwich?
- hollowdh, on 02/01/2009, -1/+21This is one thing that I will never understand...
Why, in today's society is it perfectly acceptable to have "Women only, no boys allowed" gyms, but it can't be the other way around. Or to a more racial connotation, the black business initiative or whatever it is... I think that if some turd came up with the caucasian business initiative, he'd either be shot, or cast out by society for being racist.
What the hell is wrong with society? - ezekahr, on 02/01/2009, -2/+20http://www.diamond.co.uk/

Get rid of this ***** first. - muleskinner, on 02/01/2009, -4/+21Excuse me, but what the hell is wrong with a youth club catering to one specific group of youths?
Do people honestly believe that male counseling is the same as female counseling?
***** the UK. Here's yet another example of a wonderful PC nanny state. - digitalpencil, on 02/01/2009, -3/+19Firstly, it was never called 'Boys school', it's a "boys' club", an institution in Britain and many over countries for centuries and whilst I have no problem with being inclusive, they haven't gone around and demanded the girls' clubs do the same, nor have they knocked on the GirlGuides' door and demanded they change their name and let in boys (not that any would want to go) but they have done so with Scouts.
As I said, most girls wouldn't want to go to a boys' club anyway and vice-versa but that's not even the point, as they were already being inclusive of all kids anyway. It's the double-standards and PC ***** impressing on small groups designed to simply help out the community that people are pissed about.
ScoutMaster Pedobear wouldn't have stood for this *****! - tendonut, on 02/01/2009, -0/+13So when I go to a strip club and for some reason it's named "Girls, Girls, Girls", I should complain and have it changed to People, People, People? I'm pretty sure no one knows what the hell is in there if they did that.
- Chooxo, on 02/01/2009, -0/+12They should rename the X-Men to the "X-Group-of-People-With-Freaky-Powers-And-*****".
- miamifan5499, on 02/01/2009, -0/+11so does that mean they need to completely revamp the name YMCA?
- lead2thehead, on 02/01/2009, -1/+12And they can't call it a "club" anymore either. Clubs are exclusive, and excluding people hurts their feelings. Now it's a group.
- tendonut, on 02/01/2009, -0/+10A few years back, a family fought with the Boy Scouts of America to let girls join. This fight has never happened in the girl scouts..but honestly, what normal boy would want to join that? As it stands, I believe the Girl Scouts of America are still girls only.
- AboveandBeyond, on 02/01/2009, -5/+15Oh boy!....I mean Oh people!....this is stupid....
- pleaseno, on 02/01/2009, -2/+11I should add (for anyone more, er, international) that that was a joke.
I got out of the UK 8 years ago. Best thing I ever did - there's a whole world out there I never knew existed.
The PC brigade have destroyed most of what I remember as my previous home.
Now home is somewhere else. - coyote1284, on 02/01/2009, -0/+9Start with suing Curves gym for discrimination...
http://fitnessbusinesspro.com/mag/fitness_access_d ... - nyx210, on 02/01/2009, -0/+9Did they *REALLY* need to change the name to: Broad Plain Working With Young People Group?
- Xearis, on 02/01/2009, -0/+9nothing more sexist than wanting to help out young men.
women on the other hand should be uplifted and have their praises sung. - method7670, on 02/01/2009, -1/+10Okay, this whole political correctness things is getting out of hand.
- Xearis, on 02/01/2009, -1/+9feminazis
- RogerMcDodger, on 02/01/2009, -4/+11Probably wasn't even a woman. The people making these decisions are completely out of touch with the real people who they supposedly are protecting. Never assume they are the ones who would most likely be offended themselves.
- hairysandwich, on 02/01/2009, -0/+7Not exactly, if we apply the same logic to these groups that they used in the article. Then the municipal gov't will force boy scouts to accept girls, after removing the name "boy". So everyone can join the "Scouts" but girl-guides will remain girls only.
- Nauree, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6Broad Plain Working With Young People Group...
Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too - Vorin, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6I prefer: Dallas Cowpeople and Massachusetts Minutecitizens
- Chooxo, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6I always thought there was something funny about Storm.
- Chooxo, on 02/01/2009, -1/+7Because women are more threatened by men than vice versa.
It doesn't sound particularly nice to say, or fair, but that's how things are. - Styvo, on 02/01/2009, -1/+7Wow, looking at those made me angry.
- ChayD, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6I think that technically these insurance companies still have to insure male drivers, but the premiums will be higher than other insurance providers.
- deeboe, on 02/01/2009, -2/+7I am deeply offended by the following sports franchises: Dallas Cowboys, Syracuse Orangemen, Massachusetts Minutemen, and Phil Mickelson
They should now be the following: Dallas Cow, Syracuse Orange, Massachusetts Minute, and Phil Mickel - masamunecyrus, on 02/01/2009, -1/+6Feminists are no better than PETA or white supremacist groups. Radical-anything is bad, and feminism is just the same. In Indianapolis, for instance, the old mayor went and told a TON of police cadets that they were no longer enrolled in school because they needed to meet a male-female ratio. Guess what? No new women enrolled. And then we had a police shortage problem.
Boys will be boys and girls will be girls. Give a boy a Barbie and he'll find a way to kill things with it, and give a girl a GI Joe and she'll have tea with it. Men and women aren't the same and no argument should say that they are; the fact that men and women are different is what makes them equally important. Equality under the law is important, but sometimes it goes too far. Male-female ratios in the police or fire department, or forcing a high school football team to accept a female has obvious ramifications and is seriously ridiculous. People need to remember that although both genders are equally important, they are NOT the same. - TheTaoOfBill, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Who's Chris?
- tendonut, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4They already do accept girls in the boy scouts
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scouting
"Since 2000 new sections have been required to accept girls. The Scout Association has decided that all Scout groups and sections will become co-educational by January 2007, the year of Scouting's centenary." - kimbja98, on 02/01/2009, -2/+6I suppose I should get this out now:
"This country has gone to the dogs!"
"Britain sinks further into PC madness. The lunatics are running the asylum!"
"I'm glad I left when I did, Nu-Labour do their best to ruin what was Great Britain"
"These jobsworths should be thrown out, just like the rest of the stalinist regime of Labour!!"
"My parents fought in the war for freedom, not this!"
"First this, then what next? Groups only for homosexuals!?"
"This is a blatant attack on everything moral and decent!"
"Our society is being torn apart by these liberals! When is middle england going to stand up and do something?"
And for more, just read the daily mail ;)
/sarcasm :p - battye, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Breaking: It's just Syracuse now.
They didn't want to offend other fruit. - yosempai, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Its generally considered non-PC to call a man a boy, and a woman a girl.
- Pedobear, on 02/01/2009, -2/+6Speaking as a girl, the new name is more offensive because it's so ***** patronizing. If they wanted to sound more inclusive, why not add "and Girls" to the name? It certainly would have been better than the obtuse moniker they have now.
- Morticae, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4The YMCA is *****.
- Jungleman1, on 02/01/2009, -1/+5They should change the name feminists to all inclusive-ists because the fem part is degrading and implies very close mindedness.
/s - inactive, on 02/01/2009, -2/+6 White males have always been the protectors of British society and if Britain is to be ruined then they need to be attacked, harassed and weakened at every turn.
This is all intentional. Yes many of those helping it along are useful idiots but at the top we find Marxist's hell bent on ruining the way things have always been.
They're doing a heckuva job. - Nauree, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Where the ***** did you get the idea that liberals had anything to do this with.
- drunkenoaf, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3Damn. I was a member of the Boys' Brigade. Hope its not told to become called "The Brigade".
- raywatson, on 02/01/2009, -1/+4Absolute crap!!!!!! This politically correct b@#@***** is completely out of hand.
- Nauree, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3why the /s. That should be truth.
- Logicexe, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3Who the hell told you that you can't say Merry Christmas? You do know of course that this whole "War Against Christmas!!11!!" is nothing but a fabrication popularized by Bill O'rielly? Right?
The whole thing only started because stores decided to say "Happy Holidays" to their customers. You are of course free to wish people a Merry Christmas, nobody ever said you couldn't.
It's actually kind of funny, in complaining about not being wished a Merry Christmas you essentially became the people you were complaining about who didn't celebrate Christmas and didn't like being wished a Merry Christmas, only about 100 times louder than them. -
