- snowblind113, on 11/12/2008, -13/+65OMG GLOBAL WARMING
- AbsurdParadox, on 11/12/2008, -1/+21Right, because the weather should be exactly the same every year, and if its not, its humanity's fault.
- d2002, on 11/12/2008, -4/+24If only I could ski and Digg at the same time. :D
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -2/+21It's not global warming anymore. Now it is just called "climate change".
- ThunderPigs, on 11/12/2008, -1/+14WE DIDN'T LISTEN.
- melonhedd, on 11/12/2008, -2/+14global warming alert
- mikbunn, on 11/12/2008, -3/+12Nice. I ***** love snow.
Who doesn't? - banjom, on 11/12/2008, -0/+8Forget Digg. Just go skiing.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 11/12/2008, -4/+11Dugg on the hope that this article will get placed next to this one:
http://digg.com/environment/Environmentalism_is_th ... - chriskzoo, on 11/12/2008, -1/+82 years, 5 years, 10 years != "long-term trend"
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7Is "unstability" some new global warming code? We have rain and warm weather here in my neck of Montana. The instability is making the unstability queasy!
- dieboldcracy, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7you see, there are 2 sides to the argument. caling the other a bunch of douches is really helping out your cause
- PennFarmer, on 11/12/2008, -11/+17This must be from the Onion. I have it on good authority from a Nobel Prize winner that the world is heating up and we will all be cinders floating in the 800ft higher ocean in five years time. Therefore stories of increasing cold must be satire to amuse us as we all get cooked to death.
- MikeRiley, on 11/12/2008, -0/+6Funny enough, we had a few hot years and the media went all doomsday on us, people leaped all over each one of those reports to aid their arguments. Laughably self-contradictory.
By pointing out that there are colder days than usual we are just saying a few hotter days than usual is not the end of the world and by no means are we all going to die. - neelsama, on 11/12/2008, -12/+17That shows the sign of weather unstability
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4no, it was also very snowy, very early, similar to this year.
Oh *****, that must mean we're headed for an ice age.
PANIC! - avaugha4, on 11/12/2008, -3/+7local weather =/= global climate.
- dieboldcracy, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3someone here knows whats up
- MacBookForMe, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3Move to Europe, Kate...we'll have a great snow party...
- DealCracker, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4It's global weirding now people. Get with the program. I was recently informed of this by a group of 5th graders. For all its failings, the public school system is still able to fully indoctrinate children into the man made global warming hoax.
- rrife, on 11/12/2008, -6/+9So global warming isn't' happening and capitalism isn't failing?
- HarryBauzonia, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4There's plenty of deep snow in SoCal if you'll get outside the city limits once in a while.
Look east from San Diego. Look northeast from L.A. on a day with low smog levels.
Do some skiing at Big Bear.
It always made me laugh to see the news people there pretend they were in Hawaii when there was frost on the ground. It's like they had a mad need to convince others that they lived in warmth which somehow made them feel superior.
Do you work for KTLA perhaps? - Surferess, on 11/12/2008, -3/+6Wow look at all that snow! I haven't seen snow since I moved to SoCal 20 years ago.
- LacY, on 11/12/2008, -2/+5I live in New Hampshire and I wore a short-sleeved shirt to work today... trust me, not all of northern US is getting snow. It's freakishly warm here.
- melindag, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4Capitalism isn't failing. When you privatize profits and socialize risk, that isn't capitalism.
- rafe101, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4Local ski resort just opened. Five days later than last year.
- Rikushix, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4I'm ready to hit up Jay Peak and Whistler-Blackcomb in the same season.
*****. I love skiing. - inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3Grass. It ***** hates snow.
- neelsama, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4That is the spirit. Skiing is really adventurous
- uncltim, on 11/12/2008, -1/+3Mental instability?
- slvrbullet87, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2Wow it snowed in November... people act like it has never snowed before.
- chriskzoo, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2And if I got San Diego like weather in Michigan year-round, I'd be happy as hell.
- bewmIES, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2You can, it's called an iPhone :)
- lazerus9, on 11/12/2008, -3/+5When will this ignorant planet Earth just learn to accept the fact that we are experiencing unprecedented global warming!
- waspbr, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2actually excessive snow is a sign of global warming, in the sense that for there to be snow, a lot of water vapour condensation is needed, this vapour comes from an increasingly larger ammount of evaporated water due to increasing temperatures.
at first it may seem that it is getting colder, but in a longer term... things should become more evident. - Thud, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2You mean I can't consult my farmer's almanac to determine if it's going to be raining in Northeast Atlanta at 5:15pm on Friday, Dec 12th?
Global warming!
No... global cooling!
Ummmm, CLIMATE change! Yeah that's it.
It's Global "Things aren't staying exactly the same even though they should be!!" - specialbuddy1, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2Why would people boycott Utah? I love Utah and they have great skiing. Are the homosexuals boycotting Utah? If they want to make a difference the homosexuals should just go door to door to all the LDS communities and preach about Atheism. It would be hilarious.
- brezhoneg, on 11/12/2008, -1/+3Up your ass Al Gore, you big silly fraud.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2I'm doing Jay on the 22nd too, the entire mountain. Yes, I'm doing the entire mountain.
- PennFarmer, on 11/12/2008, -1/+3You wouldn't know that to listen to many global warming people, including Gore himself on occasion. You are correct of course, and my posting itself was not meant to be taken seriously.
- avaugha4, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2Oh I agree that anecdotal evidence has been used too much on both sides. For example, it was over 70 here in Georgia last week, this time last year the roads were icing., but that doesn't mean the entire world is getting warmer.
- Cayfox, on 11/12/2008, -1/+3Cue: a whole boatload of ignorant ***** who don't understand that 'climate' isn't the same thing as 'weather', loudly spouting discredited nonsense and harebrained conspiracy theories, mocking Al Gore (as if he runs the IPCC himself from his mother's basement), and name-dropping 'experts' who think comments on their blog count as rigourous peer review.
I swear, the Daily Mail readers on Digg are every bit as stupid as their British counterparts who read it in hardcopy every morning over breakfast. - specialbuddy1, on 11/12/2008, -2/+4Global warming...Polar Bears can't swim...CO2 isn't natural...me must stop water vapor because it's a green house gas.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1It looks like Europe and North America joined the vast right-wing pro-global-warming conspiracy.
- Thud, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1Skiigging?
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1It's just like Windows Vista changing it's name because so much bad press was attached to it. After climate change is destroyed by the environmentally religious and their frightening fervor , we'll see the next name. I say they should use "wacky weather".
- Gizmort, on 11/13/2008, -0/+1I can't wait until THE BIRTHPLACE of snowboarding, (even though I am a skier), is open. Mt. BAKER! Let it SNOW!
- nemodot, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1*****, I'm roasting here in the southern hemisphere, it's not yet summer and I can barely stand this. In half our I have to go to college in my bicycle as always, I'll probably die.
