- fearlessfx, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Omfg, Snape kills Dumbledore?
- 4815162342, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6100million in tournament chips. The buy in is $10,000 but he got a seat by winning a $225 satellite tournament.
- viet10, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5the internets is a tough place to avoid spoilers. especially such a highly publicized event.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9Now that I don't get to watch this on ESPN...time to release Harry Potter spoilers...thanks asshat
- nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5it's true. Already I've been tricked into going to pages that reveal J.K. Rowling dies in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I never would've guessed it, but they put it in bullet-point form. How could I argue against that?
- zebr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I watched all 13 or so hours of the main event and I have never seen anyone so aggressive in poker before. Of course he got hit with the deck a few times but half the time he was pulling off miracles by just raising pre flop. Can't wait to see what hands he has when it airs on ESPN. Grats on your win sir you deserved it.
- madcreator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Really, why can't the title say "Results of WSOP Main Event" so we can choose to read it or not? It's way different than the results of a baseball game that are shown live.
- imikedaman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The last 4 people didn't get paid at least 1 million.
- spensercoke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Doesn't surprise me. For anyone interested in NLP, poker, psych, etc:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYNWL8_veaA - afpunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Umm, Lee Watkinson is a very well known pro, with a bracelet and several other big cashes. Hevad Khan is also a very well known as an internet player who has played up to 43 games at once, while still making money. To say that there were no pros at the table is to buy into ESPN coverage of who the pros are, and considering how bad their coverage is, is kind of sad.
- simplenation, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6thanks for the spoiler
- mal1964, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4A gambling psychologist. his worst clients he calls seven deuce off suit.,
- jonesyb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dugg for out of respect for Jerry Yang. The WSOP could not have a better ambassador of Poker for the next year. He is truly inspirational and selfless. In his exit interview all he could talk about was what he was going to do with his prize for other people and charities. He is also going to give up his job and do charity work. Excellent.
- RobotKing, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Putting Pechanga Casino players on the map. Way to go. =D
- KuJo6784, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Lee Watkinson has shown up in back to back WPT events, he's really proven that he's a force on the felt.

- YouRookies, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2"Yang, who works with foster children in his job as a psychologist and social worker, said he will donate 10% of his winnings to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Feed the Children and Ronald McDonald House."
The guy deserves it. "Go Hmong Boy, Go Hmong Boy, Go!" - abdrahman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think that may be because when playing against pros, there are literally hours of video to watch which you can study to see what the person's style of play and bluffing methods are; when playing against an amateur, you don't have that benefit.
Same reason why Grandmasters in chess can be beaten, on rare occasion, by amateurs, or in the case of Kasparov, a computer; Grandmasters spend days studying their opponent's prior games before a competition to gain an edge. - cathars1s, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2If you only care about the outcome, you aren't a true fan.
- Osjpr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Psychologists are not lie detectors -_-
- mattfugitive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Go Figure!
- in2deep, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1wow...he must have had a mental advantage over the others
- arcele, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I hate you.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Thanks for spoiling it, *****. I haven't watched it yet. Couldn't you have not said it all in the title, moron?
- Chaostician, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Enrollment was down about 25% from last year.
- bills534, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This really pisses me off, I have narrowly avoided having this spoiled for me twice only to have this digg go and ***** it up. now there is no real point in watching the tournament when it airs, thanks a alot.
- jonesyb, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Yes you are right. Winning $8.2 Million is the biggest waste of time I can think of right now.
- Markpdotcom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I want to see Derren Brown at one of these series!
For our American friends who doesn't know who he is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmjIfYi7jkk - arcele, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I get so angry this time of year...I love to watch the WSOP on ESPN, but when they announce on the espn.com front page in bold letters right after the tournament, it kind of takes all of the fun out of watching it. Luckily I've avoided finding out who else was at the final table, so I'll atleast have that to look forward too....I hope David Williams or Phil Ivey made a deep push into the tournament this year.
- Ebeniz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Tuan Lam is from Mississauga Ontario Canada... not Kitchener
- mal1964, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1But they are allowed in court.
- modeps, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Thanks for spoiling it, I've been trying to keep away from this news specifically so I wouldnt know who won. *****.
- Hmoobgolian, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I just want to say that it's about time that a Hmong person won something big here in the States here since we started to immigrate here. And he's a Yang too... you go BOY!! Much love from the east coast...come over here and play at Foxwoods sometime when the WPT is here.
Also, good that he actually donates some of his money.... - volscio, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Thank Congress: http://www.klas-tv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6771000
- dimmerswitch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Don't hold your breath waiting for that apology, I wouldn't want you to do anymore damage to that fragile brain.
- Authustian, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4IM IN UR HEAD MESSIN UP UR POKER FACE
/srycaps - TheChef, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Yeah, nice going AssHat!
- mikeslayer, on 05/26/2008, -0/+0Who will win this year
http://www.wsop2008.org - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Annie Duke is great at putting the psychological stuff to work at the table.
- ihavearrived, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0They changed the structure from 2006, when everyone at the final table was a millionaire. 1st was 12m now its 8m. pshaw.
- Brettus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Someone is a little over dramatic. I watch this every year and I don't feel like it was spoiled. Baby.
- ihavearrived, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Whats the matter Bek, dunno how to play?
- ihavearrived, on 10/11/2007, -0/+010% to charities like Ronald McDonald House, etc.
- TehdBerg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0He did play excellently. I hate that he's branded as getting lucky on the river for catching the straight, when he was actually a favorite when he got his money in.
- TehdBerg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0This is a big pet peeve of Mike Caro. In essence, in a tournament like this, you're winning all the money, but then you have to give nearly all of it away.
