- eraser34, on 03/15/2009, -0/+38THIS IS A TEST
the dude dated Stacey Keibler. If that ain't an achievement i don't know what is. - JakeBC, on 03/15/2009, -0/+36Whether you like wrestling or not, this is still an unfortunate occurrence of someone dying far too young.
RIP Test, and thank you for the entertainment. - ThraxyWaxy, on 03/15/2009, -1/+23Con: he's dead
Pro: the cops didnt find his family murdered by him at the scene. - xcornbreadx, on 03/15/2009, -0/+17Another young wrestler's life tragically ends. There is a sad, disturbing pattern forming here.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 03/15/2009, -0/+17Because they're responsible journalists and don't write for gossip rag?
- AgeofMastery, on 03/15/2009, -2/+17R.I.P.
He was one of my favorites, - JermTool, on 03/15/2009, -0/+15I think its complete bullsh*t that every where you go and read about this unfortunate death, instead of a photo with some decency, they show is mugshot. The dude passed away and that's all they can come up with and find? I'm not a fan of WWE at all but I think that is such disrespect, he was a wrestler, not a career criminal.
RIP dude. - quomen, on 03/15/2009, -5/+19Average life expectancy of WWF/WCW wrestler: 35 years.
45 if you're lucky. - Ninjapope, on 03/15/2009, -3/+16A Wrestler died last night, and nobody cares. Nobody Cares but Me.
- digicanmon, on 03/15/2009, -0/+12...and all the wrestling fans will look up and shout "Tables!" and I'll whisper "no."
- ZombieSociety, on 03/15/2009, -0/+10"Testicle" is a term of endearment for fans of Test. This is not a lame joke. There's no need to bury it.
- rhlprap, on 03/15/2009, -5/+14biggest TESTICLE in the world
- jeremyosborne81, on 03/15/2009, -0/+9Test. Test This is a Test.
Former roadie for Motley Crue.
Almost married Stephanie McMahon in a storyline in 2000, before Triple H broke it up.
Yeah, that guy. - unitedkronos, on 03/15/2009, -2/+10This is a big shame, I used to watch WWF/WWE a lot when I was a teenager, now all of the good wrestlers are slowly heading for the big Royal Rumble high in the sky.
- dandonia, on 03/15/2009, -0/+8Don't know why you dugg him down. It is unfortunate but it happens way too frequently. Musicians supposedly live the sex drugs an rock and roll life but they don't die nearly as often as wrestlers.
- stellarceltic, on 03/15/2009, -0/+7"Protip: Nobody has ever died from steroids."
[citation needed] - Biscuitz, on 03/15/2009, -1/+8That's too bad. I used to watch wrestling back when he first came onto the screen. I stopped watching long ago because it became more of a soap opera than fun to watch.
He's happier now, I'm sure. - jcroweall7, on 03/15/2009, -0/+6...the best Royal Rumble ever?
- ZombieSociety, on 03/15/2009, -0/+6Protip: Wrestlers dying young, 9 times out of 10, it doesn't have anything to do with steroids.
- AgeofMastery, on 03/15/2009, -0/+6He was Stacy Keibler's real life boyfriend at one point too.
- oxymoron69, on 03/15/2009, -0/+5They need to go back to the old days... damn right.
How about just some middle aged man & fat bastards in the ring, I always liked them.
Guys like Earthquake and Typhoon (the natural disasters), The big boss man, Sgt. Slaughter, Yokozuna.
*****, I miss the old tag teams too like The Legion of Doom and the bushwackers. - P-Frank, on 03/15/2009, -1/+6This is horrendous. When will enough be enough and we get some regulation in this industry?
What is especially sad is Test really tried and stepped up his game when ECW had its failed re-launch. - inactive, on 03/15/2009, -0/+5Why? You don't find it sad that the guy was so desperate for fame that he chased it in an industry that is so self-destructive and abusive that it creates situations like this? Just how far up Nancy Reagan's ass are you?
- lessthancory, on 03/15/2009, -1/+6While this news makes me super sad, This comment made me laugh. Probably to much, but laugh none the less.
- ZombieSociety, on 03/15/2009, -0/+5This is true. Wrestlers make a living getting beat up every night. A lot of them end up with various addictions. Most of them die young. That's just how it works.
- outlawbebop, on 03/15/2009, -2/+7all im saying is that lets not get all mooshy until everything clears up. we all made a mistake when it came to Chris Benoit initially.
ha i know im going to get some heat for that comment. - SolituSneiku, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4"Test, Test, this is a Test"...was one of my fave theme songs as a kid
- diggopolous, on 03/15/2009, -1/+5Maybe he's not really dead - just trying to distract the referee
- tolstoi78, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4No one? Seriously?
That's like saying inhaling smoke doesn't cause cancer.
It is obviously a mitigating factor in several Pro Wrestlers deaths. Along with the constant physical abuse they put their bodies through. Making yourself into a mountain of muscle when the frame of your body is almost as bad as being Morbidly Obese. The body just isn't built to take that kind of punishment for very long.
I feel bad for the guy, but his lifestyle likely has something to do with the cause of death, be is steroids or a heart murmur or something similar. - keithnoir, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4Wrestler deaths are now more common then Rock Star deaths, that's pretty crazy..
- deadasdisco, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4you sound like a nice person. let's be friends.
you've obviously never had anyone around you die. - Fhwqhgads, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4Everybody made a mistake about Benoit initially, even the WWE itself.
They did a tribute to him the day after they found out he died, then a day or so later Mr. McMahon came on and said "due to the new facts that have come to our knowledge..." something like that, they will not be paying anymore tribute. - honeymustardn, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4The old days had even more steroids, they were just out of the public eye - mostly because wrestling fans thought it was real back then. There was a huge steroid scandal involving Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan. Now they have pretty strict drug tests. In fact, that's why Test was fired from WWE - because he failed a drug test. Then he was fired from TNA too, also due to drugs.
- superlantern, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4I remember watching this guy, when I was younger, I thought he had potential but he just kind of disappeared.
I never heard much else until I started hearing him on BTLS on sirius.
Based on that I think he was a really good guy, and he will be missed by alot of people.
Rest In Peace, Andrew.
Thanks for the entertainment. - drunkjack, on 03/15/2009, -1/+4Actually, I remember distinctly being cautious about Benoit. I had no idea how insane it ended up being but I held off. Even though I had been a fan of his from his days with the Horsemen, the initial story was pretty clearly hinted at a kind of family annihilation. All three of them dead, it just didn't make any sense. I remember thinking it was either some sort of gas leak or it was gonna be really, really bad.
Sadly it was the latter.
As for Test, I feel sorry for the guy, but I never much cared for his work. He was a big man who didn't have much range and last I saw couldn't make me give a damn about him when on the mic.
I could care less how he died, OD or not no one deserves to go this young.
That said, WWE really needs to get Vince to retire, he's a drag on the company, his unending focus on overmuscled big men hurts the business in general and WWE specifically. He doesn't seem to get that the audience buys what he sells, and if wanted to sell guys who were less apt to be roided up, he could. But he rarely puts a push behind those guys.
CM Punk should be an example for the WWE of the future, the kid's clean as a whistle and he's over as hell, I've seen people chant for him when he's not even in the match, he'd be even more over if they stopped jobbing him to Chris Jericho (and *****' JBL!) every chance they get. - vat0r, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3Nobody forced you to come on digg and be a major ***** ***** but, you did it anyway. ***** you..
- unitedkronos, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3And because most of the time it's often heart problems caused by decades of physical strain.
- deadasdisco, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3see, the good thing about the internet is you don't have to ask dumb questions like that.
- msteiner90, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3I grew up watching guys like Test and others like Benoit and idolized these men. After Raw is War or Smackdown, every boy my age talked about the matches in school all day. It's pretty obvious that these people who were idolized were not setting the right example, but neither were the baseball players like Roger Clemens and McGwire who down the road were alleged drug abusers. We can't control who becomes a role model to young children, but hopefully professional sports has learned it lesson from what is happening. I think Bud Selig and baseball already have.
- dandonia, on 03/15/2009, -2/+5Erm NO!
- janoo1989, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3"BOOOOT"
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3Yeah that's a definite notch on his belt.
- mrkmrk, on 03/15/2009, -1/+4YOU'RE*
YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH - TheAnarchist, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3AHH TEST?!?!?!?! WTF! I wake up to begin my happily diggified day to this disturbing news?!?! R.I.P!
- LordRedSnake, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3Zombie, it's greater than 9 times out of 10. Steroids can cause side effects if used improperly, but they don't kill people. These guys generally die from painkiller addiction related disorders.
- capthowdy1027, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3That really sucks. Way too young for ***** like that to happen. RIP.
- jcroweall7, on 03/15/2009, -0/+3But that's also speculation and not journalism. I don't think anybody's disputing that it's a very real and likely possibility, but once journalists start injecting "What probably happened..." hyptheses into their stories, we get the National Enquirer and Geraldo Rivera.
- wakeb791, on 03/15/2009, -0/+2While steroids aren't deadly themselves, the effects of extended steroid abuse ARE.
- chadpryor, on 03/15/2009, -0/+2Despite all the comments attributed to his lameness, he was one of my favorite acts when I watched WWF (not WWE) as a kid. Who knows what killed him, but it was probably some mix of the aforementioned.
