Jury: Good enough for me. Not guilty. - WordsnCollision, on 07/12/2009, -1/+10Perhaps strangling him with her purse strap wasn't the best idea.
- thegamingguy, on 07/12/2009, -0/+7I wonder if he was asleep or something when she did this? He was no weakling. Very strange and tragic story.
- earthforce1, on 07/13/2009, -0/+5Strangled while passed out.
- jfield1, on 07/13/2009, -0/+4I feel terrible for the 1-year-old kid.
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -0/+4There have been cases of women murdering their spouses while the spouses were sleeping and getting off on the "he hit me" defense. The "theory" goes that they were too scared to murder them while they were awake, so they HAD to do it while the guy sleeped.
It's really messed up if you ask me. - tmeaster, on 07/12/2009, -0/+4Looks like she has now been charged

- martoq, on 07/13/2009, -0/+3I didn't even know he was dead.
- Sideshowslob, on 07/13/2009, -1/+4By "From what I was hearing" are you referring to the article you read 30 seconds before posting your comment?
- matrixOp3r4t0r, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2yeah I just wish for kid's well being, this is absolutly crazy
- earthforce1, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2From what I was hearing, he was stone drunk.
- pencilvanian, on 07/12/2009, -2/+4Have Dick Cheney and the CIA been informed about this and will Congress start another set of probes/investigations/castigations?
- jmferris, on 07/13/2009, -0/+2Normally, I would agree. However if the reports that he was strangled while he was sleeping are true. It really does go far to show premeditation. Unless she can back up a physical abuse allegation, she would have a hard time walking. It is well known that they argued, but that won't be enough for her to skate on the charges.
- itc518, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1They actually updated this same article I submitted with the updated murder charge article.
- itc518, on 07/12/2009, -0/+1I figured it would not be long, it was pretty obvious but what this article said about the purse strap and her being in the room for so long without calling.
- JohnnySoftware, on 07/28/2009, -0/+1Yeah, and girlfriends killing the wives' husbands too.
Police are calling the murder of the ex football player a murder-suicide.
It is getting so that pro athletes are not safe with their wives, with heir girlfriends, in their own home, in their own car, or in their own neighborhood.
Either something has gotten pretty out of whack with pro sports or with communities.
1975 kid: I want to be in pro sports or own my own company.
2015 kid: I want to be in pro sports for 5 years, make $50 million and quit before I get killed in my own home or car, and then I want to settle down and marry a woman who will not kill me. - JohnnySoftware, on 07/28/2009, -0/+1I read the article. While the keeping identities of members of the coal industry who came a calling secret seems bizarre, coal seems to have wreaked less havoc on our national security and federal state economies than oil and ENRON has. Environmentally, coal mining & burning are a beast. But so are oil spills. The latest big one is barely a week old.
But follow the money. We have paid multi-billion dollar contributions to the oil industry. Coal industry? I don't think so. The US provides the security for the oil industry abroad. Coal industry? I don't think so. There was never a plausible explanation why we should give the oil industry bllions of dollars to research non-oil and it as at that point and in the wake of the harm that ENRON did to California, spiking the last recession that the press wanted to know the oil company meeting attendees - at least who the industry reps were.
The US never invaded a foreign country to get coal. - castelfranco, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1RIP Gatti.
I have never seen a better chin in boxing. The man was relentless in the ring! - y2ace2, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1Seriously... Summer 09 is not a good time to be a celebrity... RIP Champ RIP
- scarlettletter, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1What in world is wrong with all these crazy women killing their husbands!
- smackydoodle, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1I wonder if women of these athletes, who are in a certain emotional state, were inspired by the McNair incident? Hopefully this will be the last of it but who knows...
- myztero, on 07/13/2009, -0/+0That's why you got to keep your hands up!
- dinglebutt, on 07/13/2009, -1/+1That is because you are crazy, it has no feelings! And the new one is much better.
- jeremyosborne81, on 07/13/2009, -1/+1You don't get covered in blood by strangulation. Unless, of course, you're being strangled with razor wire.
- jeremyosborne81, on 07/13/2009, -5/+1That can't be good for your legacy. How do you go from champ to being beaten to death by a girl?
- 4answer2, on 07/13/2009, -6/+1Uh, don't hit women.
