Mayweather Sr didn't bother to climbed up the ring after the knockdown. He of all people should show concern with regards to the health of his fighter. And after the fight he suggested that Hatton should seek retirement. In his own wors he stated that Hatton "couldn't stand up anyone even against lesser talented opponents like the one he faced tonight". MAkes me wonder why Hatton pick this guy to be his trainer. Even with his defensive style of fighting, PBF doesn't even nearly pack enough power or as much speed as Pacquiao dishes out. Things simply don't look good for Mayweather right now.
If he loses against JMM, what does this tell the world, boxing fans? His next fight is literally make-or-break. In spite of him retiring when he was on top, the boxing world now treats him as the lowly challenger to MP. His announcement to come out of retirement on the day of MP and Hatton's fight was a brilliant move as well in my opinion.
