- Mort1980, on 10/10/2007, -3/+70The Force FTW
- gunner453, on 10/10/2007, -4/+59Reminds me of that scene in space jam
- nicksource, on 10/10/2007, -7/+35It was an amazing stroke of luck, rather than an amazing shot, he was way out and I doubt he planned that. :-)
- 80hd, on 10/10/2007, -12/+38I'll be the first person to point out the fact golf balls have several hundred RPM's of backspin as they fly. Sometimes you can actually take a shot that leaves the T moving horizontally and it actually picks up a more vertical direction only after "flying" for a couple dozen yards. The ball was cought in the tall grass of the rough and stopped moving laterally though it still had a TON of rotational momentum left. After a couple seconds the ball slowed to the point that it had some traction and was able to basically climb over the tall blades (at very high speeds adhesion doesn't work too well, imagine a rock skipping before losing speed and surface tension finally grabbing on) and it then rolled onto the green. Most golfers intentionally overshoot the hole so that backspin will bring the ball in closer. This guy just did it in a godly way ;)
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23I love the disbelief...
"no.....no....................No..." - SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23Gravity - that area is not totally flat
- IHaveIssues, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21I bet you suck at it.
- chillmandan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17You obviously don't realize how fast greens can be, especially on the PGA Tour.
- penguin5201, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16No, this is the most amazing shot in golf history.

- xutopia, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16I think Tiger's shot was way better.
- Shorties, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12I actually watched that shot on TV, it was like the only time I had ever watched golf on TV, I was so sure it was going to stop at the top of the hole and just stay there.
- iammustangman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Everyone knows you just hold up your 1 iron in a lightning storm. Not even God can hit a 1 iron
- purple, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10The ball was resting on the blades of grass. It just took a while for them to give way for the ball.
- actionscripted, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Same sentiments here, though I garnered respect for the game by going outside and trying it. :P
- zeno60, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Damn you to hell for ruining the funniest Caddyshack moment, possibly funniest Bill Murray moment, ever.
- zeno60, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Oh! He gotta hold of that one!
- kingfoot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9that was my first thought when it started moving again.
it just doesnt look real. - rmurph04, on 10/10/2007, -7/+15zzzzzzz.....
- OneAndOnlySnob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Thank you. I no longer have to question conventional physics.

- KevinAce, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Mr. Gilmore looks to Mr. McGavin and says, "Wait wait...I saw it go up...but did it come back down? I wasn't looking. Seriously...did it come back down?"
- JoshuaH, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9http://thatsracist.ytmnd.com/
- drmsucks, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7"...so, I got that goin' for me."
- TommySalami, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6although it still says "amazing"
- resplence, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Yeah, that scene.
- ivorylion, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9This is why people play golf. Because it humbles and rewards everyone who plays the game. It was luck, it was skill, it was everything that makes golf worth playing and watching. This is just a great example of golf - nothing more.
- givinupthefight, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Somebody peaked in high school as captain of the football team.
Seriously though, it sounds like you're saying golf isn't a sport because you don't physically exert yourself and/or it doesn't take athletic ability. Well if that is what you're saying, then 1) You've never tried it (or at least not correctly), 2) you're talking out your ass, and 3) you're retarded. And if thats not why you're saying its not a sport, then please explain so someone can prove you wrong there too. - picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Golf is a great sport. And a very old one at that.
- Zipko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4He said later that he really only meant for the ball to hang on the fringe for about 5 seconds before going in the hole. The fact that it sat there over 10 before coming back was just a little luck.
- meshgiath, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Nope, he overshot. The fact that he landed on a decline on the edge of the rough was coincidence. Amazing? Yes, but it wasn't planned - as nicksource said. Zoeller (aka 'this guy') was an amazing golfer, but he didn't make this shot happen. Pure luck.
- MrNexus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I hate golf, but that was amazing.
- idc5, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4anyone have the video of the guy making a hole in one without any bounces or rolls .. it goes straight in the hole?
- ostracize, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Or Happy Gilmore
- ThatOneFatGuy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Fuzzy Zoeller Hackz!
Boot him. - Jebral, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5BREAKING: BEST COMMENT EVER!!!!!!! YOU'RE REALLY NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS, GUYS
- vitriolage, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4"...which is nice."
- adminsr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3>Don't objects at rest tend to stay at rest?
Unless acted upon by an external force. Which brings us back to "The Force FTW" - 80hd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Obviously you do more awesome things every morning before you save the world then
- appleman108, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3yes, actually 1 year and 86 days ago
- shatters, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2uhhh...yeah... I seriously doubt the ball was just spinning there for 10seconds until it caught traction. How about the blades of grass on the edge of the green could no longer hold the weight of the ball and collapsed under its pressure, causing it to roll onto the green.
- haqattaq, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Actually this shot was at TCI in Polk City.
- inukki, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"Videoshopped" aka video edited
- catalysis, on 10/10/2007, -6/+8I'm pretty sure the green slopes towards the hole and the ball slowly fell onto the green and rolled into the hole. There is no way the ball sat on the grass and spun that whole time, it is physically impossible. I can't believe so many people are digging this up.
- yohnstoppable, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'm surprised you are getting dugg down. People here obviously never saw that racist comment he made. Pretty much screwed his career
