- DrCrankenstein, on 05/31/2008, -7/+43I can't believe this guy is actually going big time. I love it. I remember seeing Youtube videos of him quite a while ago. From the interviews I've read, he actually seems like a pretty inspirational figure.
- LewP, on 05/31/2008, -1/+5The article has a couple of those videos...just greatness.
- peaches017, on 05/31/2008, -5/+22He had six kids to feed and yet never committed crimes to support them, even when it would have been all to easy for a guy with his size and power.
- weech, on 05/31/2008, -1/+5@peaches: Nice...way to set expectations there. A certain Chris Rock sketch comes to mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5M7IJg9Kk8
timestamp 2:10 - 2:50- elTito, on 05/31/2008, -0/+6Heh....was the first thing that came to my mind as well.
"Man I take care of my kids."
"You're SUPPOSED to you no-expectation-havin'-*****!"
- elTito, on 05/31/2008, -0/+6Heh....was the first thing that came to my mind as well.
- Innagadadavida, on 05/31/2008, -2/+9His kids' names are Kassandra, Kiara, Kevina, Kevin, Kevin, and Kevlar. This guy has a healthy sense of humor as well.
- blackjack75, on 05/31/2008, -0/+14He named TWO of his kids Kevin? That's more than a sense of humor, this is Alzheimer.
- JoaoPe, on 05/31/2008, -3/+6So a father is not supposed to take care of his childrens? He is the greatest person alive because he likes his kids... and he's even greater because he haven't gone to jail. LOL
Troll ! - Insolent, on 05/31/2008, -1/+7What a hero. He has 6 kids probably before he can afford to raise them with a good education and spend time and then he risks his life, health, and money on an incredibly dangerous sport. I wonder how many failed kimbos are out there with 6 starving kids with no future. You think he had a plan or didn't use birth control and got lucky and succeeded where other people tried just as hard and failed? ***** people are stupid. Good for him for getting lucky, hopefully he'll stop having so many damn kids so they'll have an identity besides "kevina kevinb kevinc"
- dOOBiEx213, on 05/31/2008, -5/+2"I wonder how many failed kimbos..."
YOU fail...now slash wrists nub

The does not stand a chance in a UFC or other venue like it.
He will shine for about a couple fights - as he loses them.
The best he can do, is try to become a commentator or something and use this exposure as much as possible.- Cerebron, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2It depends on who his opponents are, not everyone in the UFC is champion material.
- bugsy187, on 05/31/2008, -1/+5Thompson is strong and big, but he's not as good as presented in the current press. Thompson's performance in Pride a few years back was mixed. His chin isn't the best, so Kimbo will likely have a dramatic knockout or stoppage. Thompson is a legitimate MMA practitioner, however. He seems to be an appropriate test for Kimbo at this point.
If they feed Kimbo a line of chumps, he'll likely have a long string of wins. Hopefully he doesn't become a model for staged fights. He has potential, but lacks extensive MMA experience. He does have a seasoned veteran trainer in Bas Rutten, so we'll see what happens tonight and in the near future. - catfish182, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1I think that they (EliteXC and CBS) are going to stick jobbers to Kimbo to build him up. Its not even his fault its EliteXC's. Its just not the right organization to be on CBS.
I like Kimbo and he is entertaining but i wonder if he will present MMA with a pro wrestling flair rather then a hard nosed sport.
- timberwolfdp, on 05/31/2008, -2/+0Inspirational or imposing? :)
- weech, on 05/31/2008, -4/+2Yes, something quite inspirational about the way he cracks another man's head open. Makes want to just grab life by the horns, y'know?
- ANT1138, on 05/31/2008, -1/+3There's something inspirational about someone who's literally fighting to survive.
- KhanneaNL, on 05/31/2008, -1/+9So the empire embraces gladiatorial fights for entertainment again?
- DeathWish808, on 05/31/2008, -5/+32Like many others, I've seen him and many like him on the internet before he was "anybody". He's worked hard since he was "discovered", but I know he's thanking his lucky stars for the internet right now......even though he probably doesn't know how to use it. :-)

- jedisushi, on 05/31/2008, -2/+11How far we've come (?). I remember when Ultimate Fighting was only available on Pay-Per-View. But I am not complaining, anything is better than the WNBA or the XFL. :-P
- apollodx182, on 05/31/2008, -2/+1It's sad. My cousin plays in the WNBA and i still can't bear watching a whole game.

- apollodx182, on 05/31/2008, -2/+1It's sad. My cousin plays in the WNBA and i still can't bear watching a whole game.
- DroppedGT, on 05/31/2008, -8/+33Kimbo can kill an average man with one punch.
- ace4261991, on 05/31/2008, -1/+5Kimbo is the new Chuck Norris!... o_0
- DroppedGT, on 05/31/2008, -2/+21Kimbo would kill Chuck Norris. YEAH I SAID IT AND YOU KNOW IT
- xerox, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2I don't know about that... Kimbo is pretty slow... like really slow. And as everyone knows, Chuck Norris is quick as lightning (or used to be).
- Archon810, on 05/31/2008, -2/+21If Kimbo and Chuck Norris had a baby, it would be borne with a beard.
- JDoorjam, on 05/31/2008, -0/+13No, it would simply be a beard, a beard that would roundkick and punch people in the face.
- alacarde, on 06/04/2008, -0/+1Chuck is definitely the bitch in the relationship.

- richgustavson, on 05/31/2008, -4/+13Long live MMA!
- 9bpm9, on 05/31/2008, -9/+8No PPV sports are mainstream. As you see, boxing went from mainstream with having fights on network TV every weekend, to PPV and nobody giving a damn anymore.
- lmphil, on 05/31/2008, -1/+1I tend to agree, although tonight's show is on CBS and some other shows are on Spike and other channels. But yeah, PPV is not particularly mainstream as you either have to be a true fan to pay as much as 50 bucks or you have to go to a bar which isn't really middle america behavior.
- roastedbagel, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1"or you have to go to a bar which isn't really middle america behavior."
Are you serious? You must be under 21. I live in a pretty populated South Florida suburb, and when UFC is on PPV, every single bar/restaraunt is packed beyond belief. With "middle Americans" - lmphil, on 06/01/2008, -0/+0Well middle america doesn't refer to south floridians per se (I live there too and I am over 21 actually). It (in my mind at least) refers to the more conservative and traditional minded Americans in the middle class.....who typically don't go to bars. Those who watch CBS on a saturday night. I, myself, go to bars to watch UFC. Middle America doesn't mean the 18-34 male demographic who goes to bars to watch mma.
- roastedbagel, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1"or you have to go to a bar which isn't really middle america behavior."
- siggyfawn, on 05/31/2008, -0/+3Which is why there's lots of MMA on every night on cable. June 1st, look up versus. Gonna be huge. :)
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1baD REPLY, SORRY..
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 05/31/2008, -0/+2well, being that various fight leagues are broadcast on regular network television and basic cable, yeah, that would be mainstream.
- pvaras, on 06/01/2008, -0/+0I liken it to a drug users tolerance levels. Boxing used to be bloody enough; apparently America has built up a tolerance. We need more violence, more blood, and more extreme athletes to get us off.
That being said, I'm all for Kimbo.
- Piontek, on 05/31/2008, -23/+4HELL YEAH *****
- OJdidntdoIT, on 05/31/2008, -2/+22I wish Kimbo would kick Gawkers ***** ass
- ilikesboobs, on 05/31/2008, -0/+5Seriously, didn't even bother to say who the opponent is. And the ***** idiot blog didn't even bother to put a decent link to the source. I had to look hard to find the hidden link in its content paragraph, thats just as dark as the content, to find out more about the fight. This is still the same ***** as Xanga and Livejournal but they're just making more money because of their idiot readers and idiots at Digg that promote this crap.
- micro506, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2Hopefully, Kimbo Slice will be very careful in embracing them back.
- GorfTron, on 05/31/2008, -2/+38Thus far, Kimbo has beaten chumps. Give him a real challenge.
- rodrigorules, on 05/31/2008, -7/+1tank abbot? chump?
- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -0/+7tank abbot is a chump. There is no denying it.
- jaydoj, on 05/31/2008, -0/+4tank abbot is a fat overrated chump. They guy was far past his prime and was nowhere near the shape of kimbo in that fight. He didn't stand a chance. People before the fight were talking about how Tank abbot could bench press 700 lbs. Thats all well and good, but if you don't have the cardio and fight training, the only thing that bench pressing is going to do is get the guy off of you when he's pummeling your face in during full guard.
- adacas, on 05/31/2008, -1/+4did you even see that fight? that man is way over the hill and was breathing hard just walking into the cage.
- DetpackJump, on 05/31/2008, -0/+3In the last 10 years, Tank Abbot only has 1 MMA victory
- Beefsupreme88, on 06/01/2008, -0/+0Tank was never a well rounded fighter, he was just that guy who put on a show and tried to knock someone out. He is too old and just a relic of the past MMA when the sport was fighting style vs fighting style. Kimbo needs a real challenge, like Fedor Emelianenko. But I doubt that will happen.
- HangerBaby, on 06/01/2008, -0/+0Are you kidding? Kimbo would get rocked by Fedor.... Fedor wouldn't even have to try. Fedor has already fought larger, more experienced fighters and won.
- jseres, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1Tank Abbot is a BITCH not a chump.
- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -0/+7tank abbot is a chump. There is no denying it.
- outsid3rNo17, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1This James Thomson guy he's fighting tomorrow looks like a chump to me. Don't get me wrong, he'd kick my ass in half a minute, but for Kimbo it'll be just a training fight.
- ScottoGato, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1Well, this will be a measuring stick for Kimbo. This should be a good fight, if you happen to like a stand-up fight. I doubt either of these guys will look to go to the ground.
- Matt5582, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1Thompson was knocked out by Butterbean in 45 seconds. I think Kimbo will win easily.
- rodrigorules, on 05/31/2008, -7/+1tank abbot? chump?
- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -2/+19I love MMA. EliteXC is a wonderful league, but Kimbo should not be the main event. Putting aside the fact that he was a street fighter (because various amounts of UFC guys always brag about how they've gotten in street fights including Urijah Faber (WEC, I know), Chuck Liddell, Tank Abbott) because I dont care where he used to fight. But he is not much other than a face for the company. Smart on their part I suppose. But Lawler and Smith are fighting and tis going to be incredible. That should be the main event.
And its great that the first MMA event to be freely broadcasted also features a female fight. Even though Gina Carano wasn't able to make weight... again.
Its going to be a great event and I think everyone that has never watched MMA before should give it a shot. Its not human ***** fighting. Its very well done, the productions are great and its rather safe. Its an adrenaline filled sport and is quickly on the rise.
That and if people dont watch it, EliteXC is *****.. and I like them :( lol- JigoroKano, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1There are more high ranking fighters who don't brag about street fights than do. Fedor, Machida, Rich Franklin, ... have probably never been in a street fight.
Faber isn't the kind of person to get in street fights, but damn if his story isn't crazy

- JigoroKano, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1There are more high ranking fighters who don't brag about street fights than do. Fedor, Machida, Rich Franklin, ... have probably never been in a street fight.
- ssn697, on 05/31/2008, -1/+14Kimbo is getting the pub right now, but the real MMA athletes are still outdrawing the sideshows. WEC outdrew EliteXC in both gate and viewers, for Faber's last fight. The upcoming Faber vs. Pulver fight is sold out.
The circus may be in town, but the real performers are still what people want to see. The undercard of tonight's show has some damn good fights (on paper). Kimbo fighting a guy who has been knocked out in 3 of his last 4 fights is just a spectacle.- jaydoj, on 05/31/2008, -0/+3Just saw a Faber fight on WEC last night. The kid can brawl for sure.
- ssn697, on 05/31/2008, -0/+2He is fighting Pulver tomorrow. Should be a good matchup, but Faber is better that Pulver everywhere but straight stand up. Pulver only wins if he catches Faber with a few good shots (Faber has a hell of a chin).
Really looking forward to it! - jaydoj, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1Yeah I hadn't seen the guy fight until last night, I think it was a replay of a fight, it was pretty impressive. I personally could never do it, but I gotta respect those guys for being able to step in the ring.
- ssn697, on 05/31/2008, -0/+2He is fighting Pulver tomorrow. Should be a good matchup, but Faber is better that Pulver everywhere but straight stand up. Pulver only wins if he catches Faber with a few good shots (Faber has a hell of a chin).
- lmphil, on 05/31/2008, -0/+2I agree with everything you said but I must point out EliteXC is either ppv or showtime (not sure) whereas WEC is on versus, a cable channel the majority of tv viewers probably have. Not as many ppl order ppv's or have showtime.
- jaydoj, on 05/31/2008, -0/+3Just saw a Faber fight on WEC last night. The kid can brawl for sure.

- wukillabee, on 05/31/2008, -0/+4will his fight tonight be in HD?
- proliance, on 05/31/2008, -0/+5Yes, just checked.
- gerriediaz, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1si
- inevitablity, on 05/31/2008, -1/+6Although I was speculative at first about Kimbo's start in MMA with his reputation as a street thug backyard fighter. Anyone who has seen his last two fights, and mainly the Abbott fight, in comparison to his youtube videos would see that Kimbo has come a long way in a short amount of time. His punches against Abbott were crisp and on the money, coupled with his exellent head movement he's really a damn good striker.
And yes, I'd love to see him face a grappler or wrestler and see how he'd do, but it's only a matter of time. Bas has said on Inside MMA that he is getting Kimbo's feet wet in the ring and after four or five fights they will look for top ten competition.- adacas, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2yeah those punches were about as crisp as uncooked bacon. He was fighting a crippled old man. He needs a young healthy fighter with real skill and experience to prove his worth. Til then he's still the backyard brawler in my eyes
- lmphil, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1I agree...too many ppl think Kimbo is fighting weak opponents unjustifiably. I don't think the UFC or EliteXC will let Kimbo fight their top guys right off the bat...he has to prove that he can handle weaker opponents first. Otherwise, either organization would lose any semblance of having a real sport (instead of a WWE sports entertainment type business). You have to start at the bottom and work your way up, no matter the hype.

- FamilyGuy, on 05/31/2008, -12/+3Yep. Nothing cooler than a bunch of dumb apes punching each other in a cage/ring. Not that they need the brain cells though. It's not like the idiots use them.
- TheLoneHoot, on 05/31/2008, -2/+2I'm curious, would you mind explaining the "apes" part of your reference?
- KyleGoetz, on 05/31/2008, -1/+3Stop trying to play the race card. "Ape" has been used for decades to refer to a stupid person.
- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -2/+4a bunch of dumb apes? I'm not even sure if that was meant to be racial or not but regardless, its uncalled for. Martial Arts has been practised for thousands of years. Bringing different arts from around the world, taking the traits that best represent each of them and putting them together in a test of strength, endurance, technique and will isnt 'a bunch of dumb apes'. It takes skill and dedication for the men and women to do what they do.
You'd be suprised how humble and kind 90% of these fighters are. This isnt the WWE. Its basically hybrid boxing. Except with less long term mental damage. I wish you would open your eyes a bit. Theres a lot to learn.
Take Rich Franklin for example.. he was a high school teacher. Incredibly smart man and owned the middleweight world for over 2 years. - elTito, on 05/31/2008, -1/+3Ah get off your high horse. Men like fighting and blood and dirt, not tofu and manicures and drum circles. We always have and we always will.
MMA has risen to where it is precisely because of attitudes like yours. We're sick of pretentious *****-holes telling us what a bad thing masculinity is. - JigoroKano, on 06/01/2008, -1/+2The amount of long term brain injury incurred is less than that of boxing and american football.
The fatality rate is less than that of figure skating (high speed on hard ice with no helmet) and sky diving.
Chuck Lidell is an accountant, Rich Franklin was a teacher, ... Most of the Americans go through college wrestling and get real degrees (unlike football, basket ball, baseball, ...).
You are sadly ignorant. - cyberdork, on 06/01/2008, -1/+1I'm right with you on this one FamilyGuy.
Looks like our culture is moving all the way backwards to ancient Rome.
Why not give them weapons and let the lions in?
Funny, how the audience of UFC and NASCAR reassembles the population in 'Idiocracy'. By the day that movie turns more and more into a documentary.
- TheLoneHoot, on 05/31/2008, -2/+2I'm curious, would you mind explaining the "apes" part of your reference?
- jabberwolf, on 05/31/2008, -12/+9ok SURE!
Let Kimbo in a UFC fight.
1 minute later, everyone should be able to forget the BS and go on watching the other real fighters. - pstroll, on 05/31/2008, -9/+0I love watching oily musclemen "grappling" with each other.
- Testies, on 05/31/2008, -8/+23Whatever
Check this one where he loses to a white cop and his pose goes *****. Guy aint all that. Chuck L would take care of him in no time:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=z_-EBeys8fk- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -1/+6Thats Sean Gannon.
It was extremely modified rules. They both know that. Kimbo lost, its quite clear. But Gannon has been fighting MMA for 6 years and Kimbo, at the time, was a street brawler. Since then Kimbo has been training with Bas Rutten and hes learned a lot. Hes not the best but hes good and hes on the rise. Chuck Liddell is, on any given day, 50 pounds lighter than Kimbo. It would be a good fight but Kimbo has a strong chin. - n3tfury, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1rofl, ouch. nice gay posse.
- nstavros, on 05/31/2008, -0/+31st of all they were different rules, and kimbo just fought 3 days before that fight.
also he was not in the best of shape. Both now fight professionally and id love to see them both in the octagon for a rematch. - AttackGypsy, on 05/31/2008, -1/+1The cop broke the rules they agreed on not once, but twice. So I'd say the cop DQ'd himself.
- KnifeEdged, on 05/31/2008, -1/+6Thats Sean Gannon.

- GreatToast, on 05/31/2008, -18/+3Sports in general, and ultimate fighting in particular are for neanderthalic assholes.
- Serphyas, on 05/31/2008, -2/+4You sound like an unfunny version of George Carlin.
- KyleGoetz, on 05/31/2008, -2/+3Let me guess: you're either a tub of lard or a stick.
Sport is what keeps people healthy, and if you think sports are for mindless people, you've clearly never competed at a high level in any sport. Hell, I played competitive tennis when I was younger, and at the high-intermediate level of HIGH SCHOOL tennis, I found the mental element often taxing.
I was valedictorian of my high school--science fair winner, statewide math champion, etc.--top 5% at my university, and am on the path to graduate with honors from a top-20 program with a graduate degree. I'm not saying I'm smart, but I am saing that I'm /clearly/ not a neanderthal.
You, on the other hand, are obviously a lamer. - GreatToast, on 05/31/2008, -5/+16' 1" and 230lbs bucko, and you go ahead and explain to me why mindless competition is required to keep people healthy. Jogging seems to work just fine for me. The fact of the matter is if you put ANY energy into caring about the outcome of a game you are an idiot.

- GreatToast, on 05/31/2008, -3/+2Don't play any instruments friend, and while not beating them off with a stick, I managed to do alright. It's always funny to watch people react with such anger when I tell them sports are worthless, it's a GAME idiots. It has NO value to the universe. People get more pissed off over who's group of people moved a piece of leather through two poles more times than who won the last congressional election. Get your priorities straight.
- tdishman, on 05/31/2008, -2/+8He's actually well educated (contrary to many of the assumptions in the comments thus far). Look it up, his life is not what you expected it to be.

- Noceous, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1I looked it up and "well educated" is being a bit generous.
"Once a promising Miami high school football player, Kimbo, now 34, flunked out of college and for a time lived in his car. He worked odd jobs — strip-club bouncer, porn company bodyguard — until he started street fighting about seven years ago for money in Miami backyards."

- CaptainJapan, on 05/31/2008, -10/+2I like watching the muscle men hit each other.
I hear that the fight is coming on right after "Ouch My Balls!" - Kotoyumu, on 05/31/2008, -1/+3Kimbo has been training in MMA for the past year, he is only going to get better once he gets some wrestling skills and some ju jitsu under his belt. Problem is though is he going to be discipline enough to keep training more in those fields, and not entirely depend on his brute force.
- poet, on 05/31/2008, -2/+2If you kept up on Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson then you'd know he's been training for MMA for more than a year. It's been just a year with Bas Rutten about but more than two years total. And he is 5-0 in his professional MMA standings so he does have these "wrestling skills," which is called grappling, and Ju-jitsu under his belt quite fine.

Who would win in a fight: Kimbo of Chuck Norris?- CaptainJapan, on 05/31/2008, -2/+1anybody who brought a gun and kept out of reach
- deff, on 05/31/2008, -0/+8I had no idea that Chuck Norris was a province or territory...
- MadOgre, on 05/31/2008, -2/+3Kimbo would tear Chuck's heart out and eat it. Chuck, even in his prime, would have had no chance. Kimbo is a ***** monster. A Monster that trains hard daily. He's hungry... he wants victory more than anyone else I've seen in MMA... he's a fighting machine. And here is an edge Kimbo has - he can take a beating and shrug it off like was an irritation. Other fighters feel pain... Kimbo - it's like there is something wrong with him. Dude is a nightmarish monster.

- mulling, on 05/31/2008, -6/+3Kimbo can rip a man's heart out and show it to him before he dies.
- son1k, on 05/31/2008, -1/+5Kimbo will win in the second round with a flying scissor heel hook.

- Reviarg, on 05/31/2008, -1/+10The sport is called Mixed Martial Arts (MMA for short), not ultimate fighting.
- poet, on 05/31/2008, -9/+1Then why do the top-tier fighters all compete in the ULTIMATE FIGHTING Championship? Oh yeah because you're a retard.
- Reviarg, on 05/31/2008, -0/+6Top tier fighters compete in the UFC, DREAM, Elite XC, IFL, HDNET Fights, Cage Rage, KOTC, ROTR, Shooto, and the late PRIDE FC. These are all different organizations that promote MMA.
- Funpolice2050, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2UFC has almost become synonymous with MMA as NFL has with football.
- PrintScrn12, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2Perhaps in North America. I wouldn't say the same for international fans and students.
Actually cross that. When you see someone training for MMA they don't say they are training for UFC. That is in the same sense that someone who plays Gridiron don't say they play NFL.

- ColonelJessup, on 05/31/2008, -12/+6Kimbo is a ***** street thug. Go ahead and digg me down but you people know it is true. He is an unskilled goon with a big right hand. I hope to GOD that he gets his ass schooled by a real fighter and is exposed for the oafish goon that he really is.
You people know I am right, you just want to believe that this thug can just "thug" his way to the top. ***** Kimbo.- threemagic, on 05/31/2008, -1/+2I remember when there was a fight between a martial artist and a heavyweight boxer. People thought it'd be a squash because the martial artist had way more skill and was a lot faster. What happened was no matter how fast the martial artist was most hits didn't even phase the heavyweight. It was a squash.. the heavyweight champion won.. and won easily.
- ColonelJessup, on 05/31/2008, -4/+2Weight class?
My point is that take any fighter, a REAL fighter, Kimbo's size............No contest.

- mattman202, on 05/31/2008, -4/+6Kimbo has no ground game.
Keep a distance, and get his legs out, and it's an easy win.
Really all he has is a punch you don't want to find yourself at the end of.- Kotoyumu, on 05/31/2008, -1/+1It an interview Kimbo has made that his main focus over the year to improve his ground game.
- russdogg, on 05/31/2008, -1/+1I don't know about Middle America, but I for one plan on never "embracing" Kimbo.

- Khanvalescent, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1According to Wikipedia (whatever that's worth): No.
"As Kimbo Slice, Ferguson worked as a bodyguard for RK Netmedia, a Miami-based pornography production/promotion company responsible for a number of popular adult subscription websites, such as MILF Hunter. Kimbo still maintains close ties with the company who now accompanies him, as his fight entourage before entering the ring."

- XedLos, on 05/31/2008, -0/+6What would Kimbo do http://www.break.com/index/what-would-kimbo-do.htm ...
- wipis, on 05/31/2008, -8/+2The thing that amazes me about Slice is that he seems to have no training. He hasn't really prepared his body for fighting. He just works out and stays in great shape. His key to victory is his build. This isn't about his race but it's just good genetics. His body is just naturally good at taking a hit then dealing out a punch that destroys anyone in its path.
Although from watching that Adrian guy he fought I almost laugh. Adrian has no sense of how to fight. He reminded me of a kid swinging his fists like a windmill. Kimbo just squares off and waits to land his punch.- MadOgre, on 05/31/2008, -0/+5He's been training like crazy.
- hearkening, on 06/01/2008, -0/+4Yeah uh... you're uninformed. He trains with Bas Rutten.
I'm not saying he should be the main event... he shouldn't. Lawler should be. But he does train MMA. Hard. Look it up.
