His times are slower than the Olympics, but not by too much, and he lost to the best backstroker in the world (while beating Ryan Lochte, another great).

For all you people who think he's a douche, you'd be a douche too if your whole life was dedicated to one sport and the culminating achievement of 8 Olympic Gold Medals. A record achievement that will be very difficult to break by any other athlete in any sport. When someone is so far removed from the rest of the human race because of their superior human abilities and their desire to achieve physically nothing the human race has ever accomplished, it ironically, becomes very alienating.

I'm okay with athletes acting like morons, but when people are genuinely talented and built for their sport, then decide to waste it by being the biggest douche on the planet it astounds me. He had it made, yet he decides to smoke pot and waste valuable sponsorship money (yes, he's no pro, he NEEDS money), spend his time whining and bitching about how unfair life is to a celebrity like himself, and just general douchery.
