    Being declared brain dead, and giving birth "2 days after dying" are two completely different things... It's a sad story,and I am sure the family doesn't appreciate the media sensationalising the story in that manner...

He has a point - it's a very conflicting thing to feel terribly sorry for her friends and family, and yet be happy that she lives on in her barely born daughter. I think though, he will be fine - he's a father, he has a baby girl. That in itself is absolutely wonderful.

  • onestrawplz, on 01/13/2009, -1/+4Actually, the Federal Abortion Ban was upheld in the Gonzales v. Planned Parenthood decision criminalizes certain second-trimester abortions (so-called partial birth abortions).

    On top of that, the Medical Associations in most states prohibit doctors from performing abortions after 20-21 weeks, unless there are special circumstances (i.e. mother's health is in danger).

    You can't just decide at 30 weeks that you don't feel like being pregnant anymore and hop over to the doctor for an abortion.
