http://youtube.com/watch?v=g9Fz0kdsAnY - Axios, on 10/12/2007, -4/+79For the love of all things good and holy... stop linking to your blogs unless there's something worth reading in them!
- lordthor, on 10/12/2007, -39/+94Stop linking to your blog, you *****, just link to the ***** youtube vid. Nobody gives half a ***** about your ***** blog. Reported as lame.

- radicaldementia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+37yeah but do you think "random huge tire falling from the sky" is covered in his insurance plan?
- chicken101, on 10/12/2007, -4/+40Or their two penises...
- bontaq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Terrorist wheels! Ban them all for our safety!
- ahawks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23Basically...
- it's an annoyance
- a lot of people do it to get hits on their blog, so their ads get views, and they get money, when they should have just given the youtube link. This is generally why it's hated. the Digg community doesn't like to feel used, and it gives that feeling.
- digg offers a thumbnail of the video for links directly to youtube - theone3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21I swear, these tyres are conspiring against us... That last clip. It was camouflaging itself and preparing for the next attack. >_>
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Or the penis.
- bionerual, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Atleast nobody got hit in the face
- thevoyager, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19Sorry about linking to my blog.. While being new on digg I didn't think it would be so bad..
btw. where is the problem when the link is to somebody's blog ? - joeydoo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Yeah. I am going to stop digging any blog which just contains a embedded video. Starting with this one.
undigg it people. - coolspray, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11"Anyway.. I don't think that comments like http://digg.com/videos_sports/How_are_you_going_to_explain_this_to_the_insurance#c2762322
should ever come from any digg user.."
That's what the 'thumbs down' button is for. - pilot3033, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12If you post a video that people are interested in, they usually don't want to read your own "take on it" or your "description" or have to deal with extra ads. Not to mention, if your personal blog goes down due to the "digg effect" people will have to go find the video themselves. Just direct link, it's not so hard.
- RyanZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Bill O'Reilly has a new crusade.
- bontaq, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9The problem is that it makes it seem like you want traffic to your blog. I generally prefer direct linking to the source unless the blog has an interesting and intelligent commentary on the material in question.
- ohhhL3ThaL, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I guess you could explain it by showing them this video.
That might be a start.
what a dumb title. - D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I find it funny that the Blog comments were just like the ones on Digg.....
- xtreme777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Actually, I thought the comments on the blog where funnier than the video itself... which is quite rare!
- DNABeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm beginning to wonder whether we should have a seperate catergory for video involving tyres doing interesting things.
- CompWhiz2010, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@bionerual

- JordanAustin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As much as I love youtube, thanks to websense I can't watch many videos at work.
Anyone have a mirror? - djNullSpace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I thought I remembered seeing this on a commercial... ? Don't know what came first, the footage or the commercial.
- pseudoluke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2at least it didn't run down an old lady at a gas station.
- theRIAA, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4dane was right!
- jinexile, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@radical
It's no different that if someone hit you with their entire car, the person whom owns the tire is responsible for the accident, in all likelyhood though the company putting on the racing event would pay for repairs. - Smeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Even better than the vid where the tires slipped off then back on the rim of that derby race!
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1w00t...All the videos were pretty funny. I think this wouldn't be a problem for insurance though....
- TeKoverride, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The best part is the comments on that page
- Dested, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Haha, oh man is that guy *****. What are the odds of that happening. Im sure that guy was out playing the lottery the next day. =P
- yukevster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's down. Mirror please.
- greenamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you have comprehensive coverage, it doesn't really matter.
- theMurdocVolta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What happened to Mary?
A tire hit her in the FACE! - nocountries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1definite upside - waive rights to sue F1 owners in return for free tickets for life
- Phillzz, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1ROFL!!
http://lifeinsurance.iblogger.org/ - hipstershaun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Take the tire with you when you go tho the body shop. The insurance company will believe them or send someone to confirm it anyway. Additionally, the question only need be asked if the car has comprehensive coverage. Not to common on an older car like that.
Sorry for so serious a comment to a really funny vid. I'm an insurance broker. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Linking to a blog with no ads is better. I dont like Youtube and their ads.
But, theres no thumbnail if you link to a blog - nkthen, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1LOL http://www.getmylifeinsurance.com
- stickyhoney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Does it really matter if someone links to their own blog instead of the video. You can still watch the video regardless.
Stickyhoney | http://www.loanchooser.com.au/ - e2wtf, on 09/12/2008, -0/+1haha, have some video at http://1800insurance.biz/
- robsonde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I remember see this one happen, it was about 12 years ago maybe a bit more.
it was in Wellington, New Zealand.
back in the day they had a street race every year, they would close off a few main roads in Wellington and have a big race.. nissan/mobil 500 i think it was called.
any how the question of how to explane it to the insurance company...
if i remember rightly i think a glass company decided to get in for some good PR and fixed it all for free.
also i think an insurance company got a clip of it for an advert. - farazk86, on 03/08/2008, -0/+0yup just like the others said, simply show it to the insurance company :)
