- JackTheSkeleton, on 11/16/2009, -0/+23That is pretty awesome.
- spiderman0505, on 11/17/2009, -0/+13Why not train like the guys from Cool Runnings and spend some time in the freezer of an ice cream truck.
- Schmich, on 11/17/2009, -0/+11I'm an alpine skier (not Olympic but a level below) so I know all the behind the scene and you're right. Other quick examples:
waking up 4am during summer to go skiing on the glaciers as the snow becomes too soft around lunch time
training in your speed suit a whole morning at -20degrees celsius
preparing and maintaining the equipment
traveling all the time: the amount of traveling and training is something a lot of people don't understand, incl. my teachers -.-
trying to find time for the studies which can be close to impossible.
The last one is the worst because most athletes don't make much money at all. So when they're in their 30's, and have to stop, they have no diploma to find a job. Most just go back to the sport and become a trainer with lousy a pay and doing the some of the same routine again (eg. waking up early, traveling etc.). - RachelJTM, on 11/16/2009, -0/+6That is a cool idea- I cant imagine they show everything though, those athletes have to go through hell.
- tehknotte, on 11/17/2009, -0/+5wow, the ski jumping is horrifying!
also, lol curling. - vulcanius, on 11/17/2009, -1/+5And here I am eating a giant bowl of ice cream...
- dsenman, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3Cool - shows their dedication, even when it's clearly not winter outside
- ab498, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3How Bode Miller Trains...

- aquapete, on 11/17/2009, -0/+3awesome they use jets inside the pool to soften the landing.
- inactive, on 11/16/2009, -0/+2that was like an Olympic music video, neat
- Azdak, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2landing flat in the water wearing those skis must be awful on their knees and ankles.
- Rikushix, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2I went and saw the Whistler Nordic Park this summer. Let me just say that however big you think they are, trust me, they look bigger in person.
They're absolutely huge. The sheer scale is monstrous.
I'm a big skier but I could never do ski jumping. - burden555, on 11/17/2009, -0/+2Watching that ski jumping just made me think - Ohhhhhh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
- Arrestedevelopr, on 11/18/2009, -0/+1Go get 'em guys.
- barcardi, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1Jesus that stuff looks fun.
- centran, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1I always wanted to try the freestyle skiing ramps where you jump into the bubble pool.
The ski jumping hill looks scary as hell. - Digger7217319, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1Anyone catch the extreme push up at 2:46? Pretty impressive.
- thethunderbird, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1If only I had the Civil Liberty to punch you in the face.
- thethunderbird, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1Sports that only see their big week every 4 years are so similar... I know exactly where you're coming from.
- Testies, on 11/17/2009, -8/+2Winter Games don't count. No women's beach volleyball and only team sports is hockey.
My personal hell. - crapolatime, on 11/17/2009, -11/+14 billion dollars for a bunch of athletes?

Sleeping in an alley sucks this time of year. Yummy rats though.
