I've wrestled for the past 7 years and I can tell you that these are some of the most agile and talented athletes you will ever see. Funny they called him Flipper because on my high school team we called our 103 lb wrestler Flippy because he would pull of stuff like that all the time and he was in gymnastics so he's kind of a cheater.

- GramarNazi, on 06/29/2008, -1/+9He's obviously a talented wrestler, but that is a very stupid move. I've wrestled for four years, and moves like that aren't taught for a reason. They're dangerous, even for those who've practiced a lot. All it takes is an opponent to hold up your leg while attempting to "back flip" and you land on your neck. I've never seen it personally, but my brother wrestled with a guy who broke his neck trying that move.
Not dugg down, but wrestling is much more about pushing limits, self control, and raw talent than it is high-flying moves and showboating (I can name 3 other ways to escape a single-leg takedown that don't involve trying to back flip) - sully213, on 06/28/2008, -0/+8That was nice, but not unique. Looking at the related videos from YouTube it seems to happen more than you'd think. I never saw this in person when I wrestled, but I often thought about trying something like that if anyone ever had me in a high single leg. Of course, I also thought of roundhouse kicking them in the side of the head, but I knew that would get me DQ'd :)
