- ciops, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12ROFLMAO! That comment made me laugh for a while.
- panthrtail, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12What the hell is snooker? :
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9In Europe it's about the sport, not the show. We don't need ridiculous 'caricature' characters to enjoy sport here.
Besides, in Snooker, it's in the unofficial rules that you remain calm and give a nod to to opposing player to acknowledge a fluke. - CountDooku, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3 It's truly amazing what professional players can do. I wish I was one of these "magicians".
- netboyntb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I love snooker, the clip is great, and this guy, watching ALL the games, he must be INSANE!
- jennamalia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The best way to practice making "slop" shots is to drink a lot. Oh, and to avoid the fights that are sometimes result from lucky shots.
- rebotfc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Maybe the most amazing thing in snooker, a 5 minute 147 break

- LoneCrow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I don't know what Snooker is but looks interesting. /ponder
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3spfmmtrist : I think he was kidding. Or at least I hope he was, I love snooker ;)
- ezkash, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1Snooker is boring. http://andlere.info
- kd1s, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Never did play snooker, plain old billiards is good enough for me.
As a young man I showed quite a talent for it. And I always loved playing on a table that was maintained.
Now I want a table again but there's no room for one. Oh wait, there is room in the basement. Hmmm. - normteke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1My uncle bought an old snooker table when the family moving out of a house didn't want to bother taking it with them. It was a bear to take apart and move (table slate is heavy). Anyway, for the next few years the winner was always the person with the least negative points; snooker tables are so much harder than pocket billiard tables.
- enginbeering, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2the craziest shot on that vide is the one where the guy pops the maroon (?) ball up onto the side of the table, where it rolls along the wood until falling into the side pocket
- mgrest, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That's Hazel Irving...if you were from the UK, you'd certainly agree that she's NOT hot...
I'll be seeing her in person next Saturday as I have tickets to the World Championship Snooker in Sheffield, UK (as seen in the video).
Please, let me have your collective sympathy... - c5mjohn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I always figured basketball was the third most played sport in the world behind soccer and cricket.
- whiledo, on 03/25/2009, -1/+1Considering I could never remember the rules for snooker (had it explained a couple of times), I couldn't fully appreciate WTF was happening in most of the video. But I think even someone who has never seen a table could appreciate what happens at 2:05.
- hospitalcio, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Thumbs up if you think the woman hosting the show is hot. I love accents.
- oesj, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3if you haven't heard of snooker, it's not because it isn't popular in america; it's because you're an ignorant *****.
i'm sure most snooker fans couldnt care less if it becomes popular in the states, just like americans dont care if everyone takes up baseball. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2You must be used to American Pool where it's impossible to miss a pocket. This is snooker and the huge tables and small pockets mean chance of a fluke are very low.
- buzzedlightyear, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I only saw 1 miss that was something you don't see very often, the one that went up off the table, along the side, over and in the pocket.
- mrmcphee, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3I took this as actual gods playing Snooker, not mortal men. Dugg down.
- Artifez, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4MR. PJ has quite a bit of anti-American vitriol running through his veins, I think he should relax and stop acting like a embarrassing caricature of an arrogant euro. *pat pat* We know you think you are superior in every way, it's ok.
- spencewah, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2What the hell is snooker?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+8It's a game that predates the ***** that Americans play. It requires an obscene amount of skill to play well, unlike American Pool which can be mastered by almost anyone.
Trust me, it's probably played by more people than American Football, Baseball and Basketball all added together. In fact almost all popular sports are. American sports are _not_ popular.
I guess it just shows how insular and clown-like you lot are that you've never even _heard_ of it. - marcalex, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Why is this under sports?
- jkleinfeld, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2marked as inaccurated
gods do not/nor will they ever exist on digg - Moocat, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2All these professional players looked either stoned out of their minds or they must be really boring people. Or do I just not hang out with enough european people? Or is it just snooker players? All I know is, most americans would be flipping their lid if they got a good shot off, especially that one on the corner of the table.
- seetheforest, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0Straight Pool requires just as much, if not more skill to master than Snooker. In fact since there are so many damn ways to score in european snooker, I would say that it requires more skill.
- rhinopig, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Yeah that was my thought too. (looked it up)

Secondly, I'd debate about whether American sports are not popular or not. I'll admit there are probably more organized soccer/football teams than the 3 american sport teams combined. Although I'm not completely sure of that either because I don't know how teams are organized in other countries. In America almost EVERY elementary school, highschool, and college have teams in those 3 sports (as well as a half dozen or more sports such as soccer). I hate sports and I am constantly hearing about them, I can't get away from them, so I'd say American Sports _are_ pretty popular in America.
Point being, the fact we Americans have never heard of it just shows how retarded and unimportant the sport is. (Seriously, If your trying to spread the word about snooker your doing a horrible job; Your comment almost makes me agree with that previous sentence.) - scojerroc, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2PJBonoVox: are you some kind of Brit/French hybrid uber *****?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2argg!!!! the combination of sucky music and pointlessness have made me angry!!!
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3Faggy pool for Brits?
- SpFmmTrist, on 10/12/2007, -30/+6RTFM
It's snooker, the balls are not supposed to be numbered.
