-Nacho Libre - eatsushi, on 11/13/2008, -2/+17Pacquiao is a beast!
- Apoy, on 11/13/2008, -4/+19Pacquiao will surely win this match.
- SexyFarts, on 11/13/2008, -1/+14I'm Filipino and a huge Pacman fan but I just can't see him taking this fight. Pacman can surely beat bigger, stronger guys, no problem. The problem with this fight is that DLH doesn't suck. He's experienced, bigger, and stronger and Pacquiao gets hit almost as much as he dishes it out. He's never fought a guy this size. Sometimes, size does matter.
One thing is for sure, though, I'll still be rooting for my countryman. - manstein01, on 11/13/2008, -1/+11Ah yes, trash talking as the once-great sport of boxing goes down the toilet faster than the NHL.
There used to be a time when high-profile boxing matches were a big deal. - 1jaxstate1, on 11/13/2008, -0/+7I've always rooted for Oscar. He's always been a real "boxer" not just a brawler.
- SnuKs, on 11/13/2008, -0/+6Pacman has moved up in weight. His speed was why he dominated in the lighter weight classes, so I'm kinda worried. It's still gonna be a great fight. I know I'm gonna be in Vegas reppin my countryman!
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+6That is the stupidest ***** I've ever heard.
- drez24, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5I agree he lost most big fights, but what about Vargas? That fight was huge and DLH knocked him out late. Then again, Vargas lost most of his big fights, but still.
Also, what about the fights he won but lost the decision on? Trinidad? Mosley 2? - IamJustinM, on 11/13/2008, -0/+4If you think that you should bet. He's a pretty big underdog.
- BungDiddy, on 11/13/2008, -4/+8so Pacquiao's trainer is saying Pacquiao will win. how shocking.
- Jacare, on 11/13/2008, -1/+5its called generating hype for the fight, hes trying to get the fans riled up. this was probably Oscars idea, looking for another $100+million payday.
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -0/+4They should change the name of boxing to "rigging".
- IRAcarbombs, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo ......... - Nacho Libre
- SDM187, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3it's news because it's also de la hoya's former trainer, nooch.
- ImTheDuke, on 11/13/2008, -1/+4Don't drag the NHL into this. NHL had a record setting month in October for attendance. Still the best pro sport bar none
- bjs3171, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3I was disappointed in how he responded to those photos. What he should have said was
"Yeah, i was wearing fishnets and a skirt. If you have a problem with that, you can come tell it to my face." - IamJustinM, on 11/13/2008, -0/+3Most boxing fans who watched this March's Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez fight would say that Marquez won that fight, but this is the fight that boxing has been trying to stage for the last 3 years.
It's going to be a helluva fight. The safe money is with De La Hoya, but this fight makes or breaks Pacquiao's career and that should frighten the hell out of De La Hoya. Some might disagree with that, but Pacquiao won't get a rematch and there's no other fighter out there who will draw this much hype and attention for Manny to showcase his skills.
I think Manny's arrogance and stubbornness gets the best of him and he tries to out box De La Hoya. This will result in a De La Hoya Unanimous Decisions. That or Pacquiao knocks him out in the 3rd or 4th round because De La Hoya can't handle his speed. :) - inactive, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2If they payed UFC championship fighters 38 million dollars instead of 250,000 dollars, you would actually have the best fighters in the world in the UFC. Nobody in the UFC can box... except for maybe anserson silva... a little. When they pay their fighters, all the best fighters in the UFC will know how to box, and all boxers will learn a little jujitsu and fight in the ufc. Until you pay to get the boxers in the ufc, you're not seeing the best fighters.
- rpad, on 11/13/2008, -1/+3De La Hoya has NOT lost every big fight. Saying that totally ignores his accomplishments south of welterweight. He has tons of great wins over numerous good to great fighters.
- ziromix, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2That's some amazing cred you got there, Look at all those people digging you up!
- vic42482, on 11/13/2008, -1/+3That dude now trains Andrei Arlovski too. Fedor better watch out.
- TheDuffManUK, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2Julio Cesar Chavez was old wen he lost to de la hoya, it's like when ali lost to holmes, they shouldn't hav bin fightin
- AuburnTigers, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2Um, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_La_Hoya-Mayweather
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2No *****. Golf above bowling as a spectator sport? Please.
- Xiefer, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2When I heard that De La Hoya and "Pacman" were gonna box, I was in shock, In a good way. I like both, so I personally, can't just pick one from the other. May the Best Man Win.
- username7410, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2Would have been best, certainly. It was obviously him.
- rpad, on 11/14/2008, -0/+2Whitaker and Quartey are two of his best wins. Vargas, Castillejo, Carr, Kamau, Gonzales, Leija, Hernandez, and Ruelas are good wins.
- franco313, on 11/13/2008, -8/+9True I am Mexican and i cant stand De La Hoya
- ProfessorLX, on 11/13/2008, -2/+3agreed about boxing, disagreed about nhl..
boxing, sucks
hockey, rocks - username7410, on 11/13/2008, -1/+2Of course he doesn't fight with a tough style, have you seen him in his fishnet body suit with wig AND heels?
- fwertz, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1Check some of my other comments, if you're that concerned.
- eatsushi, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1I am filipino and am ashamed that you are named sexyfarts......or am i.....

http://johnny7777.blogspot.com/2008/11/pacquiao-vs ... - anselm83, on 11/14/2008, -1/+2"Manny Pacquiao will end Oscar De La Hoya's career":
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=22876849525 - miriv365, on 11/14/2008, -1/+2Are you Mexican, or Mexican-American....Mexicans have hated DeLaHoya since he whupped up on Julio Cesar Chavez....
- SexyFarts, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1well...it was between this, LonganisaBurp or AsparagusPee...i chose the lesser of the 3 evils
- inactive, on 11/14/2008, -1/+2You're joking, right? You're acting like you didn't know that's the fight I was referring to? OK, you're thinking when I said "old fart" I was referring to de la hoya instead of his trainer who is now saying that fighting to a split decision with floyd mayweather is not impressive even though de la yoya lost. I see what you were thinking. I was making a joke saying the fired trainer should last twelve rounds with floyd mayweather to a split decision in the twilight of his career before he criticized de la hoya. Sorry for the ambiguity. I hope you don't go to comedy clubs very often.
- eddiegil, on 01/27/2009, -0/+0Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer and one of Oscar De La Hoya's former trainers, has been an outspoken advocate of the fight, going so far as to say he would train Pacquiao for free because he was so confident he would win.
http://cointry.blogspot.com/ - marek23, on 11/14/2008, -0/+0De La Hoya! Yes!
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+1I'm telling you guys now that this is going to be a big mismatch. DLH jab, height, and size advantage will make this an easy fight for him.
- inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+0Edit:
UFC >>>> anything before boxing - Temo1, on 11/13/2008, -2/+1De La Hoya is softer than day old cheese.
- moduc, on 11/13/2008, -2/+1You got it wrong. Here's a fix:
Boxing is boring. Most fighters doesn't know how to do the basics:
1) Jabs
2) Head movement
3) Fakes
4) Combination and multiple shots in a row
5) Use their legs
6) Go to the body
Boxing is boring also because
1) Many matches are lopsided, look at their bodies, and their boxing histories, you know who will win, unless a surprised splash in the pan knock out.
2) Judges give dump scores/bias scores
3) The judge interferes too much
4) Good matches are pay per view, so most of the time, the stuff you see is just sh*tty - inactive, on 11/13/2008, -8/+6Viva Oscar DeLa Hoya! Records talks
- kingatrock, on 11/13/2008, -5/+3Boxing is so boring, most fights are bland, jab fests with covering for 11 rounds and if you're LUCKY at least 1 of them will swing to try and take the last round. MMA, its only a matter of time before the old boxing farts die off.
