- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -2/+96You're not your job. You're not how much chocolate you have. You're not the tricycle you drive. You're not the contents of your backpack. You're not your ***** Pokémon. You're the all-singing, all-dancing poop of the world.
- moocow1452, on 09/02/2008, -3/+74So, can we still use how many five year olds we can take in a fight as a standard measure of manliness, or do we need something new?
- ghostlywind, on 09/02/2008, -0/+65FALCON PUNCHHHHHH!!!!!!!
- ZeeZee2k, on 09/02/2008, -5/+60As much as I like watching MMA, this is totally wrong, MMA is not for kids.
- ZER0JACK, on 09/02/2008, -5/+55His name is Bobby Paulson.
- 83JB, on 09/02/2008, -2/+50this has got bad idea written all over it.
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -3/+49Grappling: Yes
MMA: No
I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We have a class for youngsters as young as 5, but they do not "Fight" like they would in an MMA match or like you see in UFC. Mr Toughguy in the red shirt (I forgot his name) is exploiting these kids and their parents to make a quick buck. He needs to be taught a lesson. - Dacvak, on 09/02/2008, -4/+46Dugg for Captain Falcon.
- DrDragun, on 09/02/2008, -0/+39I am Jack's baby teeth. I get knocked out at MMA class and earn Jack a trivial amount of disposable income that Jack's parents lead him to believe comes from a supernatural dental merchant that only completes transactions with the unconscious.
- foodluver, on 09/02/2008, -5/+44Buried for resizing my browser
- enotswhat, on 09/02/2008, -1/+35dugg for the Milf Heather Duncan (-5:29 mark)
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -12/+45My little brother is in an MMA class and he's 14. He thinks he's going to make millions by joining these uneducated meatheads who make a living of a barbaric "sport".
Such an idiot. - peterjmag, on 09/02/2008, -4/+34http://www.howmanyfiveyearoldscouldyoutakeinafight ... might have to start taking this into account...
- mayra1201, on 09/02/2008, -3/+32FINISH HIM!!
- variablek, on 09/02/2008, -3/+30Eight year old, Ryan Luna, hits the nail on the head: "Too creepy..." (-6:52 mark). Good to see there are still smart kids being raised to battle the future meat-heads.
- videogamedieter, on 09/02/2008, -1/+28INFANTALITY!!!!
- apr35, on 09/02/2008, -1/+24Rex Kwon Do?
- thetanman, on 09/02/2008, -1/+24So in death, kids have a name. Huh.
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -2/+19I am totally for adults doing this - or maybe even late teens. But five year olds don't have the mental capacity to understand what they are truly doing. They are children for Christ's sake. Little children. Some of them can't even ride a bicycle yet.
- sexybobo, on 09/02/2008, -0/+17Why the does ABC think it is ok to resize and move my browser window?
Does any one else find it annoying? I have my browser in one corner and i click the abc link and it makes my window smaller and moves it to the top left corner.. - keitarofujiwara, on 09/02/2008, -4/+21This guy should be put to jail... no wait... the parents that bring their children to this guy should have their children taken away from them, and they should be sterilized.
If this is not child abuse, I don't know what is. - alexmensen, on 09/02/2008, -3/+20My son can beat up your son
- Scopitone, on 09/02/2008, -3/+20That's some creepy Israeli army ***** right there.
- crazyhorse13, on 09/02/2008, -3/+19Signature finish:
FALCON PAWNCH!!! - ZachTorpy, on 09/02/2008, -1/+16His name *was* *Robert* Paulson.
- trixyfox, on 09/02/2008, -0/+15Show me your moves!
- limbikity, on 09/02/2008, -0/+15"Kramer! You're fighting children?!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk1GZhI_B4A - specialbuddy1, on 09/02/2008, -0/+14Looks more like street fighting 101 for kids. Grappling is fine and so is Karate but this looks like chaos. No control and lots of flailing will get them injured. This is what happens when you let meatheads have children.
- keitarofujiwara, on 09/02/2008, -0/+12Ya, future barbarians full of muscles and aggression and and brains with immense physical and psychological damage.
I predict a bright future. - devinmurphy, on 09/02/2008, -1/+12It's only after you've "done your chores" that you're free to do anything.
- sweetbean, on 09/02/2008, -2/+12"it beats sitting, drinking sugar pop and video games." end
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -5/+15His name is Bobby Paulson.
- Honeyblade, on 09/02/2008, -0/+10I think that teaching young kids martial arts and how to defend themselves is one thing, but even in the styles of martial arts I teach you have to be a certain level to perform certain techniques in competition or even when you are sparring against someone because there is an understanding of how dangerous those moves can be. I just don't think these kids are old enough to be able to be able to appropriately control themselves in order to perform these techniques without REALLY hurting someone.
The idea of putting young kids in MMA is a good one, it teaches a lot of discipline and emotional control, but power bombs and knees to the chest at age 6? That's a little ridiculous. There are many styles of martial arts who don't let you use moves like that in combat until you are a certain level - regardless of age. You just CAN'T control it until you know how correctly. I agree with the guy at the end when he is saying that 'This is going to ruin it for us all'. - floridiot2, on 09/02/2008, -5/+15His name... is Bobby Paulson.
- Ledwolf555, on 09/02/2008, -0/+9You should be using Firefox with the right settings then...
- Jaablaze, on 09/02/2008, -0/+9Bad parenting...period.
- linuxpenguin, on 09/02/2008, -0/+9I think martial arts is fine but in parts this looks close to a full-on street fight or beatdown. That's a little too much for kids IMO.
Kicking and punching, OK. Sitting on some kid and punching the hell out of them, not so much.
Also, maybe it's just me but it seems like the red-shirt guy has a bit of a personality issue. Just the way he comes across. In fact I think in the one part he told the little girl to punch the kid because he messed up her hair - to me that sounds like he's actually trying to get them angry at each other, not just telling them to fight like they probably would at most martial art centers. Fighting is one thing - kids play fight (or at least I did, maybe they don't anymore). Angry fighting is very different. - SpeedStix, on 09/02/2008, -1/+10Holy crap.. that one kid that got power bombed on his head..Did he break his neck? That looked pretty brutal...
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -1/+9yea but not mma or no-holds-barred. this is children basically cage-fighting...
- elbarto89, on 09/02/2008, -2/+10His name is Bobby Paulson.
- robEstyles, on 09/02/2008, -0/+8The key is to hit the first one so hard that you put the fear of god into the rest of them.
- ProjectGSX, on 09/02/2008, -0/+8The vid says he takes kids starting at 6. So, yeah, the 5-year old rule is still in effect.
- Xeromus, on 09/02/2008, -2/+10I find this absolutely ridiculous. Who in their right mind would allow their 5 year old to do this. I guarantee that as this becomes more popular (and sadly, I'm sure it will), you will see more and more violence in schools and children's activities, because these types of "UFC for Kids" promotes beating the crap out of someone when they make you mad. Have you ever seen a child get frustrated? They storm and pout, but now we're teaching them that throwing punches at one of their peers is a perfectly acceptable method of venting this frustration. There should be an age limit to these types of structured activities, and one that allows our children to develop better anger management skills before introducing them to this type of violence..
- monkeymad2, on 09/02/2008, -0/+8....His name is Bobby Paulson.
- RetlawST, on 09/02/2008, -0/+7TKD, karate, Judo, all of these are pretty harmless in the sense that they teach control, discipline, and physical conditioning. They teach basic forms (blocks, throws, etc) for defending yourself that aren't perfect, but they'll keep that ***** down the street from giving your kid ***** every day. If kids want to get more serious about their training after they hit 18, I'm all for it.
This, on the other hand, is cockfighting with children and calling "MMA." - adamroach, on 09/02/2008, -1/+8What happened to good, old-fashioned guns without locks?
- Crusty, on 09/02/2008, -2/+9I'm kind of torn on this. Part of me thinks this crosses a line. Kids should be able to defend and stand up for themselves, but not how to put another kid to sleep or break their bones. And more than elbows and knees to the head should be banned from kids' tournaments.
On the other hand, kids these days are fat pansies. MMA is a great way to get in shape, toughen up and learn how to take a punch without backing down. If taught correctly from the get-go, it's a great way to build self-confidence. - skotski, on 09/02/2008, -0/+7Just what we need: the offspring of MMA meatheads and their groupies.
