Those are some pretty respectable names. 4 heavyweight champs in that list that I know of. Combine that with the dominate fashion of many of his victories and you have an argument to say he is the best. I am not saying he is the best, but you can make a valid argument.

Even when other fighters would dissolve mentally, Fedor keeps his ***** together and is always the aggressor. He fights like an enraged animal at times but is also a supreme strategist.
ASilva? Fedor's ONE loss (30-1) doesn't really count either, he was cut by an (accidental) illegal elbow. The fight would've been ruled a no contest but due to the tournament style a fighter had to advance. In the eye's of many MMA fans Emelianenko is still truly undefeated.

Signing with the UFC means he would only be able to fight ONLY for the UFC, which is not acceptable for him as he owns a stake in HDNet Fights. Further, he is heavily involved in the Sambo circuit (a martial art developed in USSR) in eastern Europe, especially in his Russian homeland.

I think most of the best* fighters are in the WEC and the lighter weight classes but none of those are ever in the best fighter category. So the whole "Best" fighter is always BS an opinion so although you can disagree , you cannot say its BS because any "Best fighter" declaration is BS. Even yours!
