- RunDiggMC, on 04/21/2009, -1/+19Wow, what an inspiration. I can hardly get my fat butt to the gym, and I'm lucky enough to have two legs.
- The5nowman, on 04/21/2009, -1/+11What a beast.
- Lonewolfx77, on 04/21/2009, -0/+7Ok this is ***** amazing.
- cptcliche, on 04/21/2009, -1/+7This is one of the most inspirational stories ever. Some people just have that mindset that nothing is going to stop them. This commands a huge amount of respect.
- realpolitik, on 04/21/2009, -0/+5How did it possibly take 30 years to induct this legend into the freaking Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame?
- CreamyGoodness, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6You see so many things labeled as amazing or incredible now a days that are truly not amazing or incredible. This is one story that truly IS incredible AND amazing. What an inspiration!
- hexx54, on 04/21/2009, -2/+7Don't take things for granted
- rainman21, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6Prime example of a good role-model
- Temo1, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4Not much stuff surprises me anymore on the internet, but this did. Amazing.
- BrettSchu, on 04/22/2009, -0/+4Well, they were probably legal at that time. Horse collars just started becoming illegal the NFL and college very recently, and I'm pretty sure it was made illegal in High School ball very recently. This guy played some 30 years ago, so it was legal back then.
- PxCxG, on 04/22/2009, -0/+4He played NOSE GUARD?!!??! Honestly, wouldn't it be a total embarrassment if you couldn't block a one-legged defensive lineman? I mean, couldn't you just push him over?
- CuedUp, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3That YouTube compilation was pretty amazing...it's one thing to read about his achievements, it's quite another to see him run down a QB in one play and blast a halfback in the next!
- zyxxyz, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3Wow. I lost part of my leg at 19 and thought I was good at hopping, just getting around the house. Holy crap that is impressive.
- JCEEZ, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2All I can say is wow. I can only imagine all the ***** talking he got too, for having a disability AND being a Black dude back then. This guy is amazing.
- BaoUnit, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2He sure did have a leg up on the competition
- 8randon, on 04/21/2009, -2/+4amazing story, but that was definitely a horsecollar tackle in the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kViBAohA_nI - spaceaudi0, on 04/21/2009, -2/+3his leg wasn't any where close to being as wide as his waist.. impressive athlete none the less.
- Ryuusen, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1Give this man a hand!
And then a leg. - HeDiggMe, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1That youtube video looks familiar...
- smrekar, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1i think this is a lie. 13 letters? 4 years x 3 sports = 12 letters.
- Lefts, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1I wonder what the rules of basketball have to say about a 1 legged guy. It must be quite a disadvantage to not be able to pivot.
- Skuzzlbut, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1He was also the Florida Ass-kicking Contest winner - 5 years in a row!
- werkerholic, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1All jokes aside, he's wearing Ronnie Lott's number and people laud the fact that Lott had a pinky cut off. Take that Ronnie!
- Syric, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1The track and field stuff impresses me most.
- Diggnabbit, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1He can pivot.
- werkerholic, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Neva give up!
- ChewyBass, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Wow, I went to school with Carl. He was older than me, so I never got to play on the same teams as he did during competitions, he was varsity and I was JV. He was amazing to watch, and "bounced" past the competition. Opponents thought they had an advantage on him until they were humiliated and their coach was ripping them a new one. As for basketball, whether we were at home or away, when he dunked, it always brought the house down.
- werkerholic, on 04/22/2009, -1/+1haha track and field? Football impresses me most. It's the most physical of all!
- cshipley, on 04/21/2009, -1/+1Well, there's still hope for you: http://guglit.com/sParJ
- inactive, on 04/22/2009, -1/+0you mean "He sure did have a leg down on the competition"
- Leetamus, on 04/21/2009, -5/+1Imagine what he could have done with 5!
- brisketplease, on 04/21/2009, -6/+1i don't play much football. fyi.
