- replaysMike, on 11/23/2008, -2/+63Nothing newsworthy here - I'd fight for $100m too.
- WarnerK, on 11/24/2008, -0/+35I'd fight HIM for $100 million. Now all we have to find is someone willing to pay to see the ass kicking of a lifetime.
- jggube, on 11/23/2008, -0/+27I love Lennox Lewis - but we should be honest here - who going to pay that much for a middle-aged man to fight? That's insane.
- bightchee, on 11/24/2008, -0/+24Have him fight and re-take-over a Somali-hijacked ship. Winner keeps the 100 mil. Somehow involve mountain goats.
- inactive, on 11/24/2008, -0/+12Ben Bernanke
- ohcoaster, on 11/24/2008, -0/+9doesn't need the money? doing it for the sport? then why refuse $40m ? doesn't add up.
- JoeyDeacon, on 11/24/2008, -0/+8I'll do it for tree fiddy
- DirtyBinLV, on 11/24/2008, -0/+8Yeah, Lennox actually beat some manners into him.
Before that beat down- "I'm going to eat his children" (which weren't born yet)
After that beat down- "I want to thank Lennox for giving me this opportunity." - vl002001, on 11/24/2008, -0/+7why would you want that? so he could take the bat from you and start beating you with it? his fists aren't enough?
- Conwaysb0718, on 11/24/2008, -0/+7I will fight everyone on this board for $100 million.
- vanguardanon, on 11/24/2008, -2/+8Well, I'd like to thank him for beating down Mike Tyson, a man who badly needed a beat down.
- connieLingus, on 11/24/2008, -2/+8hell i'll fight him for $1mil.
- bigsheldy, on 11/24/2008, -0/+6Maybe he'll just steal a page from Rocky and make 5 movies worth a hundred million each
- GraceHead, on 11/24/2008, -1/+6I'll do it for half price!
- simg, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5with no fighting experience, a crowbar or a baseball bat wouldn't be enough ...
- Waiting2awake, on 11/24/2008, -1/+6Same here, minus the UFC thing. Can't get into a bunch of half naked men rubbing on the floor.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -0/+5I used to be a huge boxing fan, particularly heavyweights, but lately they have gotten so boring that I have almost given up on boxing. But if he comes back in a heavyweight championship fight, I for one will pay for pay-per-view.
- CylonsOfTheLamb, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5without any sort of professional fighting experience, I'm willing to get in the ring with this guy for the meager sum of $100,000. My only stipulation being that since he is the professional fighter and I have no experience boxing, I get to bring an equalizer into the ring with me. I'm thinking maybe a crowbar or a aluminum baseball bat.
- Egoist, on 11/24/2008, -0/+5$100,000 would barely cover the reconstructive surgery required after Lennox pounds your face in. So you'd just end up where you are now, just uglier.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4The guy is 6'6" and 250/260, and a professional fighter, I'm not sure how big you are, but if you're a normal joe like most of us, your body simply doesn't have the infrastructure to take a punch from that guy, hell you might break his left arm with a crow bar, but the ensuing right hand he would throw at a guy who is hitting him with a crow bar would likely shatter your face, ***** up your neck, or possibly kill you.
- SpyCatcher, on 11/24/2008, -1/+5I will fight anyone on this board for $100 million.
- rald84, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4only if barack obama intervenes at the last minute with diplomacy.
- trieste, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4I would immediately use the crowbar or bat to knock myself out - less likelihood of permanent damage then. Shortest fight evar!
- jerrycan, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4I went to school with him back in 1982. He was an okay guy, but even back then, his "entourage" was really annoying. Especially ***** like Courtney Shand. Bag of chips stealing mofo. Cameron Heights really sucked as a school too.
- InfernoX, on 11/24/2008, -0/+4he's a man of principle.
- fartingbob, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3Yea he said he's not doing this for the money or fame but to save the sport. But then he says he will need close to $100m to do it. Unless he plans to give that 100m to upcoming boxers and trainers to improve the sport in the future i say he's just *****. However i wouldnt say that to his face.
- tscbill5, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3Lennox? Boxing? I'd rather watch UFC and Brock Lesnar any day.
- solid12345, on 11/24/2008, -1/+4"who cares about boxing, MMA is where its at"
I'd enjoy MMA more if there were alot more punching instead of semi *****-erotic wrestling around on the ground. - DirtyBinLV, on 11/24/2008, -4/+7Unfortunately for Lennox, UFC has eaten pro boxing's lunch since he left. There's no way he could get $50M for a fight. The money just isn't there. I used to be a big Lennox Lewis fan. His retirement is actually a big reason I became an MMA fan.
- JakeyG14, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3I'll fight Kevin Rose for $100 trillion.
And Mr Babyman for free. - jgaspar, on 11/24/2008, -3/+6Boxing is dead, MMA FTW
- bossm4n, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3The first Klitschko vs. Lewis fight was incredible. Vitali was easily ahead on points, but that cut over his eye was gruesome. As much as everyone wanted the fight to continue, including Klitschko, they had to stop it. Like the article said, it would be great to see them finish those six rounds. Would have been better 4-5 years ago when Lewis was still in the game.
- bffoley, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3For $100,000, I'd just let Lewis beat the crap out of me. I'd imagine most laymen would probably be knocked out cold 20 seconds into a fight with a professional like him.
Besides, from what I've read, Lewis seems like a really nice guy so he probably wouldnt try to bite my ear off or something. - fartingbob, on 11/24/2008, -0/+3he'd probably do well in MMA just by his sheer size. Not many would be able to take him down before he turns their face into a picasso.
- EvilKaz, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I'll do it for a copy of Duke Nukem Forever.
- reuscel, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2He owes Klitschko a rematch. I just can't believe it took him 5 years to realize it.
- arunforce, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I can see it now, the most dugg story on Digg...
- nigelmansell, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I will fight recession for $100 million dollars
- naslai, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Lewis put Tyson to the canvas
- footodors, on 11/24/2008, -2/+4Funny, but he's probably still the best!
- zerobriers, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2I think this shows how far boxing has fallen. When was the last true heavy weight champion of the world? Reality is, I know Lennox Lewis, whereas I couldn't name a single guy in heavy weight division now. Not saying he's worth 100million, but that's worth something. Plus, we might watch for the spectacle.
- nowhereelse, on 11/24/2008, -0/+2Wait until you see David Haye.
- fakeguy, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Oh yeah, well I will fight everyone on this board twice for $100 million.
- kevyn, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Go to the fight and throw chips at him... that'll teach him
- rsbryswrrl, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Agreed - Lewis vs. Calzaghe in Wales! I will totally fly over there to see that!
- psychohog, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1100 million? I will fight Lewis for 1 million. Have the ambulance ready for him though.
- DutchGuilder, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1I'd pay to watch Lennox fight Fedor.
- dracostimpy, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Trudat, but only if Lewis files to become a bank first.
- mamboboy, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1Well you're American. All US fighters pretty much all suck ass at the moment. Actually it seems they'd rather pay to see British fighters - Ricky Hatton supposedly get's the biggest crowds out there these days...
- hiro, on 11/24/2008, -0/+1For "admits" substitute "pleads".
