College to Lacrosse coach: You're gone b/c you stink not b/c you're gay

sports.espn.go.com — The openly gay coach of the Missouri men's lacrosse team was told his contract will not be renewed after nine seasons. Team leaders said Kyle Hawkins was dismissed because of his job performance, not his sexual orientation.

  • jefbob, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Now, I am not prejudice or anything, I don't care what you do in your free time, but it gets on my nerves when every time someone in a minority is fired, arrested, or whatever they pull out the race, gay, etc. card and claim discrimination. Some people think that since they are gay they can slack on the job and claim discrimination when they are released. This guy isn't suing or anything, so I am not specifically referring to him, but it is referenced that he considered legal action.
