MMA is no different than boxing or taekwondo. Trained fighters competing for glory... and cash. Taekwondo and boxing are two of the world's most popular forms of competition in the world of "dumb fighting" and both are recognized by the Olympic committee as "sports."

I am not saying he should still be fighting, but I wouldn't go as far to diss him as much as you guys are. - ryan69969, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1It's not Liddel's age, per se. But, he's been very set in his ways in terms of training and technique. The result: other fighters figure him out and get his number. He could certainly reclaim the 205 belt, but he would have to switch up training partners, train in some other camps, etc. If he's motivated enough to do that, he'll still be scary. Otherwise, he continue to slip down the MMA ranks.
