- VinceMancini, on 07/15/2009, -12/+335I'm surprised this wasn't in Utah, or one of those other ***** square states.
- wTheOnew, on 07/15/2009, -9/+292The symbol '@' takes two keys. The word 'at' takes two keys. Is the English language breaking down that much that we can no longer use the proper word even though it's just as easy?
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -5/+246Oh my god it's breaking! Everyone get in here now!
- anklesnap, on 07/15/2009, -0/+208If anything having a better relationship with the coach may prevent the parents from turning into crazy parents at games.

- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+145Boringness of a state is inversely proportional to the squigglyness of the state.
- Hetman, on 07/15/2009, -9/+151This is silly can we please get over these puritan values that have been shoved down our throats constantly.
- gobbleplex, on 07/15/2009, -4/+140But he has to fit his comment into the 140 character limit somehow.
- bmcnally, on 07/15/2009, -0/+132The coach didn't even provide the alcohol - it was a six pack brought by a parent.
Ridiculous. - edwadokun, on 07/15/2009, -0/+104so alcohol was consumed by adults at a private gathering with hs kids around... well then i guess every teacher in the country should be banned then because that is everywhere
- pablocblanco, on 07/15/2009, -3/+72I'd like to refurbish that catcher's dugout.
- Solkre, on 07/15/2009, -0/+66I hope your wife never holds a position of authority over other faculty then.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+59Does your wife like to put fish sticks in her mouth while she takes it in the ass too? Then she'd have a trifecta.
It wasn't on school grounds, it wasn't funded by the school and the coach didn't provide the alcohol - a parent brought the beer and a few other parents imbibed as well.
Sounds to me like some ***** up idiot like you and your wife are to blame for being ***** morons.
On a side note: Swearing really does help stop the pain! - Smokeydabear, on 07/15/2009, -0/+58School boards are run by a bunch of *****. The consistently violate the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act in the name of "students first." In my local school district, some teachers came to an anti-drug event from a different school district. The whole point of the event was to show kids that there are teachers – regardless of the school district – who are there to talk to students about drugs or suicide issues. One of the teachers, who was also a guidance counselor, said something about living in the right town but working for the wrong school (she lived in the district the rally was held at but worked in the neighboring school district). This was given as a light-hearted "break the ice" kinda thing as the two districts were sports rivals. Anyway when the district she worked for found out, she was nearly fired for her comments and demoted as a counselor.
- feelmypimphand, on 07/15/2009, -5/+63Dugg for the comments section:
"Anyone else seeing a banner pic with a hot blonde in a bondage mask, fingering herself?" - karmicfreak, on 07/15/2009, -4/+57Am I weird for wanting the girl in the pic to keep the catcher's garb on while we do unmentionable things?
- PotentPotables, on 07/15/2009, -3/+56We're doomed as a nation.
- IphtashuFitz, on 07/15/2009, -0/+52So what is the definition of a "school function"?
Suppose I'm a coach at the school. I decide to have a BBQ at my house with just my family. Eventually I decide to invite my next door neighbors whose son or daughter is on my team. So it's just me, my family, and my neighbors whose child I happen to coach. Is that a "school function"? What if I invite three neighbors who all happen to have children on my team? Is that a "school function"? At what time does it cease to be just a BBQ that I'm throwing for friends and becomes a "school function"? What if I happen to invite all the members of the team and their families as well as one or two families who aren't on the team? Is that still a "school function" since there are now people there who aren't on the team?
Suppose this coach, now that he's been fired, decides to have another BBQ and invites all the exact same people who he invited the first time. It's the exact same people in the exact same environment. What's the difference between the first BBQ and the second? He's no longer an employee of the school, but can the school still claim it's a "school function" if the entire team is there?
That school board is a bunch of freaking idiots... - yunus, on 07/15/2009, -0/+48Article lists the school. This is the Superintendent of the School systems info

- theOster, on 07/15/2009, -5/+51i'd light her up...*
*i have no idea what i'm talking about. - MarkBrent, on 07/15/2009, -0/+39Some people are just really dumb...
- zacharytelschow, on 07/15/2009, -5/+44I'm all for conservative family values, but parents drinking a beer or two certainly isn't a problem. Good grief.
- DarkMatter911, on 07/15/2009, -0/+35The school board can consider it anything they want, that does not make it true.
Did they provide any funds, a facility, snacks, refreshments, or anything at all? Certainly doesn't sound like it.
We need to bring back common sense. - jeexbit, on 07/15/2009, -0/+35that's why i live in hawaii...
- borez, on 07/15/2009, -2/+36Good job they never found out about him selling the kids crack then.
- esteskid, on 07/15/2009, -0/+33For it to be a school function, it actually has to involve the school in some way. In this case it was a private party held by the coach for private citizens and their children who play on the school's team. The fact that they all belong to the same team does not make it a school function.
- smihalik, on 07/15/2009, -2/+35These people need to chill the F out and at least try to dig some of that sand out of their vaginas
- animeguru, on 07/15/2009, -0/+31School function indicates funding in part by the school, held on school grounds, or an event held during school hours to which students may attend.
A private party at a private residence where no chaperones were required and was attended by a single school official does not a school function make.
Not to mention the fact that the school official in question neither provided the alcohol nor did he partake in it. It was provided and consumed by parents, who, by the way, are under no law, rule, or regulation to refrain from the consumption of alcohol at a private residence.
Some teachers in Maryland are capable of understanding the rules, some just have their heads up their asses and drag down the good name of others.
I suppose this is what one should expect from "Real America." - stuffradio, on 07/15/2009, -1/+32FTA: “And one parent brought some beers to the party. A couple of people had those– probably no more than five or six,”
The coach didn't bring the beer, someones parent from the team brought it. - stuffradio, on 07/15/2009, -2/+29WHERE
- FadieZ, on 07/16/2009, -6/+32Yes it is. http://imgur.com/AxYZA.png (Used pythagoras on paint but it still works)
Not th@ I care. - Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 07/15/2009, -5/+29No, he did work earlier setting up a macro for the @ symbol. That way it's one key.
There are lazy people, and then there are those efficient at being lazy. - tman84, on 07/15/2009, -0/+24there lies the problem with "zero tolerance" it turns people into automatons who are incapable of making any judgment on their own or seeing anything subjectively. Or in other words, it turns people into dumb asses.
- kaidovak, on 07/15/2009, -0/+24In my experience it goes beyond that. It's usually those parents nobody likes and think their kid is perfect that run for school board.
- noecanales, on 07/15/2009, -0/+23Next Time just Serve Fruit-Punch and add enough Vodka to make everyone happy. What Alcohol? "We had fruit-punch!'
Yeah...uptight bastards...this is why people go BINGE DRINKING as soon as they turn 21 to the point of Dying.
This is why in other countries you see less news about a 21 yr old celebrating his/her birthday die of alcohol intoxication.
I should get back to work and finish my "Coffee.." What Alcohol?! I'm having COFFEE!!! - patbon, on 07/15/2009, -1/+23That was the joke...
- HouseofEl, on 07/15/2009, -0/+22Being from a nearby county this doesn't surprise me. Frederick Co. is like a retarded child that won the lottery. Lots of money thrown around but not much going on upstairs.
- Jpatano, on 07/15/2009, -0/+21moron, that's not the point. the point is that this is surely not the first time these kids have seen their parents drink a beer. do i really have to explain these things ?
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+21Those who cannot teach, work on the school board.
- carterjs, on 07/16/2009, -1/+21I'm from Colorado. I am not going to lie, my state is shamefully square. I will say that it is far better than those ***** states that look like things. I'm looking at you frying pan, boot and dick states.
- Hetman, on 07/15/2009, -0/+20Blame the puritans on this one.
- tidu, on 07/16/2009, -0/+20and by Mitch Hedberg you mean Demitri Martin.
- mehan, on 07/15/2009, -1/+20Land of the free.
- IphtashuFitz, on 07/15/2009, -0/+18No kidding. It's freaking absurd. If I was the coach I'd demand that the school board show where in the contract that it requires him to be chaperone to the parents and where it shows he could be suspended or terminated for the actions of those parents.
- Scrappy1850, on 07/15/2009, -2/+19she has excelent taste in beer.
- sinrtb, on 07/15/2009, -1/+17Multiple Wives?
- RatatRatR, on 07/15/2009, -1/+17Jesus Christ, you're like the fifth person to bitch about that. Who the ***** cares?
- nepidae, on 07/15/2009, -0/+16I had wine at my high school graduation party ... at the school.
<3 europe. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+16Does shoving your head up your ass just a little further seem reasonable to you as well? You clearly didn't read that one of the parents brought the beer, not the coach, nor was it a school funded function.
