heres the youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr_qwkmWukI - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -11/+40Does anyone in the USA besides me really care about soccer??? This should have gotten the most diggs today
- BetterThanYou, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22Lol at 'Posh Spice' not giving a crap after he scores.
- holygram, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23sucks to be that keeper.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Way to blogspam.
- sherifftruman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17I'd watch it if it was ever on TV.
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11One thing you can't take away from Beckham is that he can score those kind of goals all day long.
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8She's seen it for the past 10 years or so... And while it's new for the American's you can hardly blame her for not giving a toss.
- jwaycuilis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6No one says he is the best soccer player in the world.
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That comment was effete. Look it up, *****.
- zardoz73, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6"Beckham can bend it!!!"
Worst. sports comment. EVER. - donjaime, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Your statement that English soccer has "no strategy" is totally unfounded. If you are referring to the style of play Beckham is used to at the club level, you need to be reminded that Beckham is coming from playing in Spain with rivals like Barca and other extremely technical teams. If you are bashing English soccer in general, it should be pointed out that the English Premiere League is probably the best league in the world. The English game is considered to be the most exciting game to watch and the majority of the better international players either play in the EPL or WANT to play in the EPL. Sure the game is faster than in other leagues, but if you watch teams like ManUtd or Chelsea, you will see teams putting on a clinic in how to pass the ball effectively.
If you are referring strictly to English National players, then I question your statement that "the English players think they are the best". If you have been following current events, the English national team is totally plagued by injuries and they are having TROUBLE FINDING GOOD PLAYERS to make up the squad for the Euro cup qualifiers. A healthy english squad is another story. They would have a justifiable reason to think themselves some of the best.
P.S. Ronaldinho has fallen off in the last year. If you want to point to great Brazilian players point to players like Kaka or Robinho. - xtmno3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I would have dugg it except for the crappy spam. If it was a direct youtube link it would do better.
- o0adam0o, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I bet you wouldnt of been able to stop that goal even if you knew exactly where it was going.
- spacedigg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4That was a beautiful goal by all standards. I know of a young soccer star in our project in Ghana,West Africa who has skills like that.
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Not necessarily, he's caught some great 'keepers off-guard in that way throughout his career. It is something he has perfected and that's why he's played for Real Madrid and also why he's now been paid $6million a year.
- tastarr88, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3oh man he bends it like Beck....oh wait
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5no kidding he just a made a fool out of him, he probibly won't be the last MLS keeper to be embarrassed though....
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4bad ass
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It was never gonna be anything else...
- fremeer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1hahha EPL is no way the best league, it is the richest league and thats it. The italian league is the best in terms of teams and over all strength. EPL defense so so crap to watch its embarassing. That said EPL is generally more exciting to watch cept for the la liga which is more technical. Kaka is the best midfielder in the world, ronaldinho is still good but kaka can slot anywhere and be effective.
- Icebox3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Girly? Haha, try comparing American Football to Rugby. ;)
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2For that you need a Brazilian... Or Pablo Aimar :D
- XISUPERMANIX, on 10/10/2007, -19/+20No, nobody cares.
- DeadPain, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2He said 'First Start' not 'First Match', he has played games already but he's never started the game before that
- soccerman90, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3i love soccer but i just cant get into MLS until i have a team to root for. I live just outside of philly and we will probably have a team nearby in 4-6 years
- Acksull, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Yep, I care. Been a Galaxy fan since 1999.
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Absolutely, Brazil is the heart of the sport, but here in the US, those of us who love the sport just had "a moment". Exciting for us. I was exhilarated , and I generally hate sports.
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2That is the worst comment i've read in a while. If all you're wanting to do is have a pop at English football (or players) in general then I would suggest you do it in a better manner. Saying we have no strategy and summarizing our game play as "kick the ball and run for it" is beyond stupid as far as I can tell. Our players 'probably' play the fastest type of football, and 'playing into space' as its more commonly called is not only a tactic, but when done correctly you can literally destroy your opponent. Implying that the style of football that is been played in the best league in the world is somewhat caveman-like runs well beyond stupid. And for that, I dugg you down.
- donnyburnside, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hey i'm glad he's gone over there and is doing what he's always done. I was half expecting him to flop but kudos to him for keeping his cool.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1scripted like *****.. i mean the game.
- TDEdigg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1"but any average footballer could have easily scored that with the goalkeeper making such a basic error"
Logged in just to say that's bollocks. - SirVantes, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Any good keeper wouldn't have moved behind his own wall as the opposing player was kicking the ball. The whole point of the wall is to try and make the smallest target for the other guy to shoot at, it's completely stupid to move AWAY from that area into somewhere he's far less likely aiming for. Not discounting Beckam's skill in this area, there's no doubting that he's right up with with the likes of Juninho as one of the best set piece guys in the world, but any average footballer could have easily scored that with the goalkeeper making such a basic error.
- joshreed104, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4I LOVE soccer! I was sooooo disappointed that this game wasn't on yesterday (except for telefutura which I don't have). Now I'm even more disappointed knowing I missed Galaxy winning, Beckham starting, and Beckham scoring. Hollywood script indeed.
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I do!
- Acksull, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1BTW, you can watch the Superliga final, Aug 29th at 8pm et at the website.

- Leg0z, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0Wait... we have pro soccer in the US now? I think I didn't get a memo
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0***** that sissy ***** and his ***** wife too. They belong in LA.
- rudasn, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2the commentators have no clue what they are talking about. was this the first 'soccer' match they ever saw? patented bend? wtf?
..but I guess they paid a lot of money to get him there, so they might as well make him look like a god, or something - o0adam0o, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Um yeah, has Beckham scored in anything else but free kicks this past year?
- mapkinase, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Goalie sucks.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Is there anyway to get it to move further up??
- Battleloser, on 10/10/2007, -8/+2Distancing themselves from girly euro sports!
- nyrol2, on 10/10/2007, -9/+3I love soccer, but hate the hype that Beckham gets. They keep saying that he is the best soccer player in the world. Not in a long shot. Look at Ronaldinho, and other Brazilian players. I have no idea why he has been seen as amazing. Sure he is good and all, but not the best player in the world. Plus, he still plays English soccer which is "kick the ball and run for it". No strategy. It's just that they have perfected this. If they played with the more technical skills and strategies as the rest of the world, I'm sure they would be great soccer players. Pretty much what I'm trying to say, is that the English players think that they are the best and claim they invented the sport, but yet they tend to use the worst concepts.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -10/+2I do, I actually came here looking for it and was surprised not to see it, where are the diggers today??
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -10/+1yeah i think maybe they put the wrong link on there or something, some entertaining stuff on there though, and David Beckham is so hot I can hardly stand it....
