- canewediggit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39wow, i haven't heard that name in years. i'm just picturing those hot rod tights now. another childhood memory joins the abyss. rip bam bam.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27No 350+ lb. man could do cartwheels in the ring like him. RIP Beast from the East.
- DarkStalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20About as low as someone who watches fake families in sitcoms and fake relationships in movies and plays in fake worlds in video games.
- harriman714, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12when you are that big heart attacks could be an issue
- Shando, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13I heard about this last night. Another wrestling legend gone. RIP Bam Bam :(
- straxus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Steroids? Have you ever actually *seen* Bam Bam?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The dude had his whole head tattoo'd with flames! You have to be a complete bad ass to pull THAT off!
- WiZZLa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The tattoo on his head proved he was hardcore and worked well for his character.
- elZoido, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Jake "The Snake" Roberts has outlasted another one.
RIP Bam Bam. - nerdvernacular, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I sat next to him on a prop plane once.. Good guy. One point after his heyday, he saved some people (in South Jersey IIRC) from a burning building. Guess the tattoo on his head was prophetic. Shame to see.
- DDRRE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I only remember him as one of my favorite characters in the game WrestleMania.
RIP - toddsayshi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Wow, you're a dick.
- Desslok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Was Bam Bam ever a confirmed steroid user? I don't think so, and he certainly didn't have the body of an abuser. He was just a big, big man, and unfortunately a hard life and his size caught up with him. It is possible, however, that pain killers or something like that could have made things worse, but I don't think he was the kind of guy to get addicted to that sort of stuff. He played a bad ass on tv, but was pretty upstanding in real life.
R.I.P. Bam Bam Bigelow, you will be missed. - mayurpatil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I can clearly remember Bam Bam .He was my favourite wrestler on my sega 16bit..Wen he used the top ropes and successfully completed the jump his opponent would turn into a body of fire lying there for 2 seconds..He would beat every 1 ass out..Atleast on my sega and when i was BBB.. We will all miss him.RIP
- Lunarshadow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6His feud with Taz in ECW will always be my favourite feud of all time. He was an inspiration to big guys everywhere. RIP Bam Bam.
- Tropicalpalmdoc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6The deaths just since 1990 - Makes you happy not to be a wrestler . . .

- Eastlygod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Bocked Spamer.
- bongo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I remember going to a WWF event when I was a kid, and my friends and I taunted Bam Bam. He turned around and pointed at us. We were thrilled. RIP, Bam Bam.
- tafkase7en, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9The best from the east!
- barryiggins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRPTbCizuC8
RIP Bam Bam - srneu71, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I saw him wrestle when I was in middle school and he was doing a local small-time wrestling circuit. I was thrilled when I saw him a year later in the WWF.
RIP BBB - Burrito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Lawrence Taylor wins.
- jet3004, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Bam Bam's two best partners:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_White
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diesel_%28wrestler%29 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Don't forget Luna Vachon!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_Vachon - grapfx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Yes he was the biker bully for hire.
- Smitty41, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nooooo!!!! He was the reason I learned how to cartwheel!
- JustinPM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My condolences to the family, of all the years that Bam Bam was in the business of entertainment, he did not leave a tarnish on it. I have never heard anything negative of him.
- Thorpe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I remember him as a great Legend on WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007.
- steveoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's a shame, wrestlers just seem to die...
I am not sure if its substance abuse which seems to be rampant in the industry but look at the list...
Bam Bam Bigelow, Sammy Steamboat, Earthquake, Eddy Guerrero, Big Boss Man, Curt Hennig, Miss Elizabeth, Road Warrior Hawk, Crash Holly…
And that’s just in the last few years. There not that old but just seem to pass away, it’s a shame because of the cool memories you have of them.
RIP Bam Bam - musicbear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@lippsy
"...I wonder if Bam Bam still thinks dying in his forties was a fair trade-off for the fame and fortune he received..."
As he's deceased I don't he really thinks about it one way or the other...
Also... he received a lot more fame than fortune... His legend will always be there, I can only hope he put away some of the money he received in WCW and WWE. - UglieJosh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That was crude, tasteless and......... absolutely hilarious......
It's funny 'cause its true. - daedalus779, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I think i remember this guy from the original WWF game on the NES.
- rimz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2R.I.P used to really love watching him wrestle
- barryiggins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Still pretty badass that he even tried MMA. Most pro wrestlers, let alone folks like me and you, would even consider it.
- thebuggman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The best matches Bam Bam Bigelow ever had (in my opinion) was in his days of ECW:
When he put Taz, along with himself, through the stage.
When he teamed with Chris Candido (RIP) and The Franchise Shane Douglas as part of the Triple Threat!!!!!
When he threw Spike Dudley into the crowd!!
RIP dude! - thephosphorbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn he was young.. I remember watching him when I was a kid on Saturday morning wrestling :( I met him in a K-Mart once in West Long Branch, NJ.. he was shopping for camping gear with his son.
Rest in peace, Bam Bam. - dmoney22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Oh man those guys bring back memories.
- DjManner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hall of Fame introduction should happen
R.I.P. Bam Bam - guerrilla_suit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Rest in Peace, Bam Bam.
- bioskope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I remember when he and Vader used to go at it. This man was a legend everywhere he went. Especially in Japan. Watch the ***** he did in Puroresu and you'd be amazed at how agile he was. Plus from what I remember from back in my fanboi days, he was one of the most awesome guys to work with in the ring according to most top wrestlers. Even though he had size he always made sure that the 'face' looked good in his victory. If you would have rented any of those tapes from olden era like Tatankas, Lugers, Harts, Razor Ramons, Michaels etc you would have been able to see just how Bigelow used to make all of them look better than they were in the ring
- SA007, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1lol wtf
http://unemplus.info - jmdajr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man...wrestlers have it rough....
- tombomb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn, that list brings a tear to my eye. So many great wrestlers who have gone before their time. Owen hart, Eddie Guerrero...
- gerriediaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1he was a cool dude. i talked to him a couple of times. his son shane was on my lil bro's little league baseball team and bam bam wouldnt miss a game. he had some nice whips and his ex-wife was hotter than Janis. OT represent.
- Zaphrod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I used to live in Hudson Fla, He's probably better off now.
- nepawoods, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I never heard of him until he opened a burger joint a few miles away from where I live in Pennsylvania. That was a few years ago. They closed. A shame - they were damn good burgers. Don't know why he picked that place - it's in the middle of fricking nowhere. He also lived in the same private gated community I live in, "The Hideout", in Lake Ariel, PA (mostly retired people and vacation homes).
- mklopez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'll make an exception to the "do not cross-link digg stories" rule on this case...
I found a very good retrospective+tribute article on Bigelow:
