- winterface, on 10/06/2008, -3/+18This sport is falling apart!
- PVanderVossen, on 10/06/2008, -1/+14At least they keep trying, and succeeding to catch them. That's more than I can say for many other sports. Hopefully these riders will eventually get the hint: dopers aren't wanted.
- MrPat8oHed, on 10/09/2008, -2/+13Isn't this why they invented the "Whizzinator"?
http://www.detoxforless.com/images/the-original-wh ... - velocity92c, on 10/07/2008, -0/+10If the MLB started using similar doping policies, a good chunk of the league would be gone.
- inactive, on 10/06/2008, -2/+10I watched the Time Trial, and the commentators kept talking about what a huge surprise it was when he won. That was obviously the red flag, but they can't get away with that type of speculation on TV.
- bwhite, on 10/07/2008, -1/+8Just like every other professional sport
- PVanderVossen, on 10/07/2008, -0/+6They are getting tested and outed, and then that gets press. The process is rough, but hopefully the result will be a clean sport.
- Chaostician, on 10/07/2008, -2/+8At least Lance is coming back...there's hope for cycling yet.
- explnx, on 04/27/2009, -1/+6Why do they keep using the same drugs even after they are routinely tested for?
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -1/+6nah, they are all doping and they always have, its just getting press now...
- newmanator77, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4Does this surprise anyone?
- nandres, on 10/07/2008, -2/+6it is said that it is near imposible to make gold in any sport without some "help"
- pkizzle, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3Another doping scandal rocks the balls and ass of cycling...
- scoottie, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3what a dope ....
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -2/+5Doping sounds so much less cool than it is.
- Clepensky, on 10/07/2008, -3/+6When are people going to realize that everyone dopes, including lance.
- TheMachine1, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3I heard a rumor that a doping scandal is about to hit Chess.
- Pinkertinkle, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3Everyone dopes, it's standard practice these days. Now its just a matter of who gets caught.
- LenBaird, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3I said it in the comments for another article, but again: If they tested american pro sports like football or baseball the way they test cycling, I think the leagues would be shut down within a week.
- drmobutu, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3I think I'm gonna change the name of my band to Another Doping Scandal...
- rhepark, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2why not? they were right! they know what's going on.
- SPRFRKR, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2They know better than that. They watch you hold it with your shorts to your ankles.
- macbookpromat, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Damn I was so hoping that Sam Hill tested positive for some ***** and the UCI suspended him for life. I guess I'm still going to have to witness Specialized's return to downhill racing.
- Ruger11mcrdpi, on 10/07/2008, -1/+3they need the testosterone... they shave their legs, put on tights and ride bikes with 23mm tires for HOURS on tiny seats that are just about as wide.
- DCMacHead, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Roid rage! MOTHER *****, YOU BEST GET OUTS OF THE WAY OF MY QUEEN AND ROOK!
- Kral, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2The testing methods and the drugs used keep changing.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+2An NFL player actually got busted with the "Original Whizzinator" going through airport security a few years back...
- usherzx, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Lance Armstrong prepares for 1 race all year long, and then competes in that 1 race.
All of the other cyclists are racing in other events throughout the year.
Much the same way that Tiger Woods only focuses on the Majors in the PGA Tour. - apio, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1with schumi, they can.
first there was a positive test while he was still with shimano. he came up with a doctors note written by his own doctor, who happened to be his mother.
then there was strange testresults from his blood last year, he claimed he had diarrea.
before the start of this season a policetest showed he had amphetamines in his blood, but that was not in competition.
and now there's cera.
- MrPat8oHed, on 10/16/2008, -0/+1I remember that. Those were the days.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1I know you meant that as a joke, and I don't follow chess... but wouldn't some drugs potentially help chess players? I remember in college people used to claim taking adderall allowed even the short-attention span people to sit and read/study for hours. Seems like chemically enhanced focus would be helpful in Chess.
- apio, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1so he's doing chemo before his race?
- wardsac, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to hear it.....
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Why can't these tests come back positive for pot like normal people
- moomeep, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1tour de farce
- DCMacHead, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Probably the same one that enabled him to beat cancer.
- gttim, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Leave them alone and let them dope! Dopers give some of the most exciting performances during races! I love dopers! They want to screw up their health and maybe die so I can see an exciting race! What the hell is wrong with that! Entertain me!
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1This whole doping thing is completely out of control. What happened to the good ol' days of Marco Pantani and cocaine? The guy was killing himself with coke and alcohol, and still danced on the pedals like an angel, while climbing like a bat out of hell.
- Gloony, on 10/07/2008, -1/+1That's right, usher, competing once a year makes you *better*.
Americans and questioning Armstrong - it's like telling you that maybe more debt is a bad idea. You saw how that turned out. - Doppo, on 10/07/2008, -0/+0Haha, this is awesome news.
- hashbangfoo, on 10/07/2008, -0/+0Uh, sorry.
I dont think that I can really care about 'Sports Gods' (sic) getting doped on what makes them happy and allows them to abuse themselves or their sport for glory. WTF should I care about sports when the world needs more than sporting events of any genre to make things work and help pay bills and mortgages in my neighborhood?
So sorry; no pity/care... - DirtyBinLV, on 10/07/2008, -0/+0Remember that French guy a few days ago that said Lance Armstrong was an "embarrassment" to the Tour?
- Kral, on 10/07/2008, -3/+3Makes one wonder what Lance Armstrong's drug of choice was. He 'retired' just as they thought they had the test that would catch him, then after enough time for whatever it might have been to get out of his system, 'un-retired'. Convenient..
Since they all cheat, might as well just legalize doping so they're all on the same footing. Half of the prize could be given out to the pharmaceutical company backing them. - bernstein07, on 10/07/2008, -3/+3I was unaware that any scandal could "rock" cycling.
- cricketlilly, on 04/06/2009, -0/+0Omg, so totally should have used detox drinks from http://www.directdetox.com
- username7410, on 10/07/2008, -4/+2So what, haven't you heard?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDVkpqWGMQQ - Markb3489, on 10/07/2008, -2/+0why is it that any great achievement has to be met with claims of cheating? why has nothing been proven if he dopes. There are many other explanations for his success besides doping
- Spuy767, on 10/07/2008, -4/+2Let me be the first to say, "Who gives a *****?"
- Cherubim, on 10/07/2008, -6/+1I wonder what special brew 'ol Lance will be using ?
