- Dreadly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29All of you saying "I've seen better" are so cool! Can I be like you someday? Nice post and great hand....5 pocket pairs IS amazing no matter how negative Digg has become...
- chestertonb, on 10/29/2007, -0/+26What are the chances of 5 pocket pairs?
The preflop was amazing enough but for him to get the lady on the river made me punch the air. - peligros, on 10/29/2007, -0/+13I like how they cut to Phil Hellmuth's reaction after the play.
"I would played those Aces differently, by throwing a hissy fit and pouting around the table for the next 10 minutes." - ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14^^@Bandar
Sounds like you haven't played many big "tournements". Folding KK pre-flop can be justified if you can put your opponent on AA and are sure that your read is right. Once you fold your hand you cannot regret folding. The only thing you can regret is misreading your opponent. - litolist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Bastard.
- dwoo12, on 10/29/2007, -6/+17I wouldn't say it was the most amazing hand... maybe pre-flop. If you've played any online poker, it is common to see many pockets in one hand. I for one, have gotten four of a kind kings get beaten by a straight flush.
But that was an amazing read for the guy that hand kings. If I were in his position, I wouldn't even think twice about calling. And that is why I am not a professional. - jonesyb, on 10/29/2007, -4/+12What's so good? Pre-flop is pretty cool but nothing that happened afterwards is so great. The guy who folded KK must have just got a good read or is a complete wimp. Fair play though for doing that. The Qs eventually winning?? Well that's just the way it goes. Wasn't a massive bad beat or anything.
Check this out for some real poker action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Qap3VT_ZY - Casedot, on 11/06/2007, -19/+27It really wasn't that spectacular.
- javip, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7if you think about it, that doesn't make any sense at all
- orion846, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7go back to break, get off digg
- orion846, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6son of a bitch
- SweetMercury, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5What makes you think it's fake?
- winmywii, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Not again.
- superguysteve, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Dugg for for the video cutting off JUST before Helmuth speaks...whew.
- ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Just the other night on the WSOP ESPN replay AA vs AA vs KK. And if you play enough online poker you see many more sick hands than this.
- Digisphere, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v134/Peter_85/retards.jpg
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yes, yes you are buried to the nth degree.
- bimtott, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I'm sorry, what did you want again?
- rkettner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4At the WSOP main event this year... pokernews.com had a "hand of the day" feature. One showed AA, AA, KK, JJ.... and get this - they all went all in pre-flop, but the community cards came down to make a straight from 3-7... split pot.
- moocow1452, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6This one time I had pocket aces, and the flop was king, 5, 8, with another 5 on the turn. I went in all in and got a third 5 on the river. Full house ftw! So I got the pot and pretty much clinched the game. But the other guy accused me of rigging the deck and so I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, and said you're moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air. I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare but I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight, and I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later. Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to settle my throne as the prince of bel-air.
- aryo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3probability-wise, i'd have to agree that folding pocket kings pre-flop would be a bad decision, as the chances of someone having pocket aces with 5 other hands dealt (given that you have KK) is about 2.5%.
BUT i'm gonna have to agree with ngmcs8203. there are so many factors out there that if you base ***** solely on probabilities, you'd never even reach the final table. - Biznack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Who dugg this man down, WHO?!
- d4005, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4So why exactly didn't you ignore this particular digged video? you knew it was a poker clip but watched it anyway. Personally I don't waste my time watching things I don't like. They make me YAWN.
- BevansDesign, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I thought Lex Luthor would win.
- xutopia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2What he's saying is that break.com have found a better title and description for the same video than he did.
- EvilCan, on 02/26/2008, -0/+2Looks like the comments have turned into a collection of bad beat stories...*yawn*
- EvilCan, on 02/26/2008, -0/+2Why are you getting dugg down? Is it because you actually know something about poker? Or is it because you have Bush in your name....hmm...
- CoronaVegas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3DeNiro plays poker AND he folds pocket Cowboys?
- underdog138, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2*****. Bel-aired. Just when I thought this meme was on its way out. Burned. It stings. A little...
- Biznack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Easily bored + doesn't enjoy poker, golf or bowling < 18 years old
- UglieJosh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Who plays Partypoker anyhow? I thought it was common knowledge that Pokerstars was the superior poker site.
- d4005, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1...and that would make you the type of person that watches digged poker clips on the internet despite not liking poker enough to watch it on tv.
- JackpotCity, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1Those hands really leave me feeling cheated and dirty.
- redDC143C, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You're an idiot. If there was any fraudulent "randomization" of the cards, and it got out -- the entire industry would literally crumble.
Not to mention, it would be the equivalent of taking a five dollar bill from a hostage while robbing a bank.. there's just no point in doing it. - feelwell, on 11/06/2008, -0/+1Thank you for sharing this information to us. I will have a try cause I love playing poker game!
- HuRrIcAnE3000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Amazing. 5 pocket pairs in a round of 6 players.
- Amything, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Soon we will start to see the "Fake" posts of Youtube.
I've played poker for years, and that hand was truly amazing, specially the preflop fold. - Biznack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What's wrong with using Amazing to describe something that is random? I suppose it wouldn't be amazing if a bunch of broken glass fell to spell out your name? Same random nature, same kind of amazing (though not exactly an even comparison).
Sounds like someone just hates poker. - Lynxplus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1OMG its just like fulltiltpoker!!!
- schmons, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1this one hand i played on a full tilt tournament had one player short stacked going all in with KK and i called behind him with QQ and another player calls with AA. the flop was KQ2 and i went all with trip queens and the fellow with AA calls. low cards for the turn and river so the man with the best hand pre-flop won nothing, i won his stack and the short stack tripled up. the most epic hand i was ever involved in.
- mediaphile, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1your version pales in comparison to this: http://mediaphile.synthdriven.com/images/confession.jpg
- ryrysofly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i'm suprised no one else has said anything about the announcer/commentator yet... how funny was that guy, "num num num, give me those sweets"
- Blainer66, on 12/04/2008, -0/+0Nothing new here.. If you want to see amazing check out http://www.pokerwizdom.com
- addaminsane, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I only time I've seen a more ridiculous hand was in the New James Bond Movie which happened to be the stupidest depiction of texas holdem I've ever seen. Bond acted like he was so good when he simply got better cards than everyone else.
- Biznack, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2You would have won the hand though.
- Jay1927, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0not bad......Once on riverstars in a SNG I had 1010, called preflop raise from a guy UTG - flop blank 10 10. Guy bets out, I push All-in, guy calls. He has JJ. Turn- J River-J
needless to say I went on Tilt and wound up losing half my bankroll that night.. True Story...I hate lee jones. - Jay1927, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Obviously you don't play poker often. Calling poker "all stupid luck" from my perspective is- really stupid. And now I'll quote Rounders (even though it is not necessarily true, but delivers the point): "People insist on calling it luck...Why do you think the same five guys make it to the final table of the World Series of Poker EVERY YEAR? What, are they the luckiest guys in Las Vegas? "
In my own personal experience, Poker is neither all luck nor all skill. It's both and then some.
P.S. IMO The guy with QQ made a TERRIBLE call. TERRIBLE! the guy with AA hesitated too long to push all in....after that whole deliberation...then moving all in is really fishy(not in amateur way). - rhkaloge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1This is pathetic. There is no such things as an "amazing" hand of poker, it's all stupid luck.
