1. Craig MacTavish
2. Rae Carruth
3. Ugueth Urbina
4. Mike Danton
5. Denny McLain
6. Darryl Henley
7. Don King - shutaro, on 10/07/2008, -0/+20His sport was hair.
- sarazen, on 10/07/2008, -1/+17So that's why nobody messes with Don King.
- Enuggie, on 10/07/2008, -3/+16How about Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Michael Vick - they should be on this list too.... good list but not complete.
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -8/+20John McCain spent 5 years in a Vietnamese person.
- Calcularius, on 10/07/2008, -0/+9Craig MacTavish gets 1 year for KILLING A WOMAN WHILE DRUNK DRIVING
Don King gets 4 years for BEATING TO DEATH AN EMPLOYEE
Darryl Henley gets 20 ***** YEARS for selling cocaine.
Something does not ***** add up here - our justice system is BROKEN - jggube, on 10/07/2008, -2/+11Do not pass "Go", do not collect 200 dollars.
- shutaro, on 10/07/2008, -2/+10That must have been uncomfortable.
- bonk2k, on 10/07/2008, -0/+8Mental floss tends to skip well known ones. You obviously already know about Tyson, Ali, and Vick so why would they need to be on there?
- SSPink, on 10/07/2008, -0/+7Yeah, Don King was a street criminal who climbed his way to the top of the boxing world through intimidation, confidence scams, exploitation, and general thuggery. He is the greatest villain in the history of boxing and he has done more than any other person to destroy the sport of boxing.
It's funny to me that he was included in this list, he beat a man to death in 1967 and served less than 4 years. Ever since then King has comfortably ignored laws that have gotten in between him and making money without any penalty whatsoever. In reality, King has become a prime example of how the rules don't apply to the rich and powerful in the world of sports. - inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+7I was gonna rip on Don King, but now i'm too afraid to
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+7The first six aren't famous, and the last one isn't an athlete.
- Spartan009, on 10/07/2008, -0/+6How about Maurice Clarett , could have been a double or even triple heisman winner at Ohio State but now he's in jail ....
- Skooma714, on 10/07/2008, -1/+7John Mccain is pure energy? o_O
Maybe he is the result of antimatter and matter colliding. - Revolutionista, on 10/07/2008, -0/+57 is FAR too small a number.
- JamesPDX, on 10/07/2008, -0/+5Buried because Don King is not an athlete!!!
- ryansmith18, on 10/07/2008, -3/+8I'm kinda suprised to see Vick is not on this list considering how much press it got last year.
- IphtashuFitz, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4Don King is a white (and/or) athlete?
- offrdbandit, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4Internal reflection is a bitch, aint it?
- TheSwashbuckler, on 10/07/2008, -0/+4"he killed two different men"
What, he didn't kill the same guy twice?! - inactive, on 10/07/2008, -7/+10John McCain spent 5 years in a veal cheese prison.
- Noivedya, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3How could such a list be complete -- unless you have a spare five weeks of non-stop reading? It's a good selection -- and the people here are a little less obvious than Tyson and Ali.
- slvrbullet87, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3One server that went directly to dead
- IphtashuFitz, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3That and tongue twisters like:
I'm a promoter of the people for the people and by the people and my magic lies in my people ties. I'm a promoter of America. I'm American people. You know what I mean? So therefore, uh, do not send for who the bell tolls 'cause the bell tolls for thee.
and
I can't believe that having said what I said was interpreted as having been what I said when I said it, because I said it where I said it, when I said it, and who I said it to.
More of his ramblings can be found here: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/d/don_ki ... - blckt, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2"Fans of Venezuelan jurisprudence" - that may be the best phrase i've read all day
- bnorman, on 10/07/2008, -1/+3close, almost there.
- smackydoodle, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2As a slow white guy, his waste of talent frustrates me. I could have done so much more with it!

- codx999, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Wow. It's so lame that some of these guys are now coaching teams.
- godsdead, on 10/07/2008, -0/+24 years for two murders? gotta hate america =]
- one1plus1one, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2Interestingly, Dennis Dale "Denny" McLain, got arrested (yet again) for failing to appear in court earlier this year.
This guy has been in constant trouble with the law, and/or the mob, since the 1960's.
It just never seems to end with him. "One thing after another," as they say. I wonder what it is about his personality? I guess he can't help it, somehow.
It also looks like he did not manage to keep up his athleticism, based upon a latest photo:
http://media.collegepublisher.com/media/paper202/s ...
Still... he seems to have a wife who loves him. That's an accomplishment many men never achieve! And that just might be the best thing he ever achieved in his life, which is significant. - JediSean12, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Site is down when the counter shows only 111. Crappy server to die after only 3 diggs.
- liuite, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1what a sexist story, I didn't see Marion Jones on that list!
- boardthis, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1leonard little did the same thing as craig mactavish, yet no jail time.
- johnomaz, on 10/07/2008, -2/+3Heh, most of them were white too. Go figure.
- RJLaframboise, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Rae Carruth is the most infamous NFL player? Really? What about Chris Henry?
- inactive, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1Yes -in Canada
- chubbybubba, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1Don "the Kid" King was an amateur boxer.
- Paulish, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1Did they pass go?
- MrWhoopee, on 10/08/2008, -0/+1Some more popular members of the cesspool of society, they can rot in the ground.
