71-Year-Old Japanese Man Becomes Oldest to Ever Climb Mt. Everest

abcnews.go.com — Hiroyuki Yanagisawa, a retired junior high school teacher from central Japan, was 71 years, 2 months and 2 days old when he reached the 8,850-meter (29,035-foot) peak on May 22, becoming the oldest Everest climber.

Now a 71 one yr old ...kinda over shadows all those whom died and very younger ages and generations past. And those whom climbed it at all or even first to climb her.

    Whats next a 15 yr old one legged virgin girl and her kitten ?

    Mankind has to come up with conquering something else to be noticed cause Mt.Everest just isn't the place any longer to do that so it seems

    FYI i happened to have climbed the The Matterhorn in Ama Dablam on Himalaya range of eastern Nepal ridge. A few of my country men were killed during our path up the southwest ridge .So ***** blow me...you know nothing what you talk about !!
