- ashes0, on 11/22/2008, -1/+10The only way to truly profit from gambling in the long run, is to own the casino.

/Simpsons - lxrhee, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3You could have used that Steelers example to make it an even 5 - cmon, what kind of list has only 4 examples? They even have 5 Tips to Get a Flat Stomach at the bottom.
- nvpham, on 11/22/2008, -0/+3why sasha! to heave up a 3 pointer was classless. for it to even go IN was even more bs. he wasnt shooting well the entire game!

It's not miraculous, it's statistical probability.
They all lose in the end, except for the Indians.

The whole room screamed!..half in excitement the other half mad as hell. On a another personal note..I knew KU wasn't going to cover but I couldn't bet against them (I didn't bet any money on the game) ...It cost me $2500. I bet $5 bucks on a 10 team parlay and went 9 for 10...Northern Iowa game was included...another 1st round game that year..I bet UNC wouldn't cover and I won by 1 point. As yes I almost Jumped out of my hotel window after the KU loss.
- brsteve88, on 11/22/2008, -0/+2The grand slam single seems wrong. If I remember correctly, a walkoff homerun is still a homerun if the runner is mobbed by his teammates and can't reach home plate. Maybe it's different if the game is already won. Can anyone back me up or am I thinking of something else?
- WhiteCloud, on 11/22/2008, -0/+2Umm, that was mentioned in the article. Not one of the 4 but the list was prefaced with that play. Screwed me in my fantasy league too.
- whatthefu, on 11/22/2008, -0/+2Well, to be fair, there are sometimes ***** situations. You bet under the assumptions that the rules will be followed.
- FlakemanCU, on 11/22/2008, -1/+3What about the Steeler's game last week? Troy Polamalu scores a touchdown that the officials overturn, would have put the Steeler's over the 4.5. Instead they win 11-10. The next day the league rules that it should have been a touchdown. It cost me a fantasy football game, and I'm sure cost a lot of betters. http://views.washingtonpost.com/theleague/nflnewsf ...
