- raynar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26People on digg exercise?
- killfish, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23Good variations, but it would be nice to know what muscles (muscle groups) are being exercised with the different setups.
- lotuseater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Triceps and chest. The narrower your arms, the more it hits triceps, the wider, the more it hits chest. The judo/dive bomber push up will do shoulders.
- drafhk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Arms, Shoulders, Pecs?
- RobotKing, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13dive bomber push up? Never seen that one before. I am reluctant to try it because I think I will end up making machine gun noises.
- davidave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8actually you'd be surprised how easy it is to do a one armed push up. it's not really an issue of strength but rather balance and shifting the weight to right places.
and i don't know why you guys are digging down killfish, his question is pretty valid. no point in doing theatrics if it doesn't give you benefit - imnojezus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9What, no ***** push-ups?
Psht, lame. - bergur1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"push up with one elevated feet"
- MrMcGuire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Maybe it's because no one here knew how to do 19 push up variations?
- Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@raynar:
Yes.
@desolite (below):
You, sir, are a douche. - halavais, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Yep, grew up on those judo pushups, though he should be pushing all the way back out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjwyoA6OAmw - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Hey, them judo pushups are TOUGH.
- speedstream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The one arm push ups are the hardest to do. You have to be in great shape to do more than 3.
- SlickVick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Exercise with Arnel Ricafranca, or just watch him as he gets "six pack abs" in 16 weeks.
http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/home.html - kidblast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yea, all you need is one.
- mriegger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No handstand pushups?
- samuelcotterall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Shame there is no explanation as to how one type is more effective that any other.
- everlaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm allright...
I think I'm gonna continue with my "DIGG UPS" - jdenzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ahhh, reminds me of my Army days. Never needed fancy equipment to stay in great shape.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've done "Dive Bomber Push-ups" before but I never knew it was named that way, always called them "Navy SEALs" pushups.
- Yout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those are called "lay-theres". I am an Olympic champion with those.
- DaNKBuDZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is like the new Kamasutra
- ianweir, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What the people like the people digg. If something you think is lame makes it to the front page, bury it. Just because you dislike it doesn't mean the system is flawed.
- skelley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They forgot wrist pushups. These are popular in judo and other 'locking' style martial arts. There is the hands inside variation, which are similar to knuckle pushups. And then there is the dreaded hands outside variation. Neither is recommended unless you already have pretty strong wrists.
- unfinite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1forgot about these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOMtBViI_Wg
- Civil44, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Maybe you don't exercise..... But I don't like sitting in a chair masturbating in front of my pc screen all day.
- fitnessvip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey wassim2k. Yes. There are a lot more push ups variations using equipment such as the Swiss ball, medicine ball, wobble board, BOSU, ropes, step up, etc. That video is strictly without any equipment (only your body weight). Of course, you want to be able to control using your own weight before making it even more challenging by incorporating different equipment.
- Calder0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks now i feel fat. =(
- wassim2k, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I didn't know push ups needed equipment.
- ray023, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Shameless plug for a lame website.
I did get a kick out of those Dive Bomber Push-ups though (1:44 secs in). - bcasper1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1why the ***** is this guy showing us how to do 19 pushups with a ***** frozen over lake behind him. go the ***** inside and do exercise you idiot. whats this guy doing, so strange.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Speak for yourself, I can do 100 continuous pushups non-stop.
And this is not that impressive for people in shape, I see stronger people than me in the gym who would still laugh at me and do twice as much. - emloh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They missed a couple...like hinge and tricep pushups.
- Juncti, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Just seemed like a few normal variety of pushups with a bunch of made up versions to fill out the video.
- jason5190, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1i'm pretty sure most people on digg can't even do 19 regular push ups
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1is that a frozen lake in the background? brrr...
- eggo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I've always liked "prison push ups" You start with the knuckle push up (palms facing in) in the down position and as you push up, rotate your fists inward (as if throwing a punch). Do them with your feet elevated if you want to make it harder. 2-3 months of 150-200 (sets of 25 at a time) of these a day and those ***** won't be taking *your* commissary again.
- embercom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1That was F*ckin stupid whats wrong with digg?
- shaftbond, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0interesting stuff, but man that 10 second loop of the guitar riff was driving me nuts.
- bjames2nd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0What about no handed push-ups?
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Hehehehehehehehe "Dive Bomber Push-ups".
- Desolite, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3Why is this on digg? No one here exercises anyway.
- vizerei, on 10/12/2007, -23/+2@drafhk
lol
@killfish
idiot
Edit: Some of the pushups have a rather gay theme. Check out the dive bomber pushup.
