- phprock, on 11/07/2007, -8/+37He is definitely good but those moves don't usually work in a real game.
- Dayz, on 11/07/2007, -3/+26I got a little wet
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Canadian eh'
- WhipkickeN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23Either way, people find some of those tricks amazing even if done by a player in the NHL, he is only 13.
- Dayz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21Last goal is great
- mc1123, on 11/07/2007, -3/+24I like it, but it's definitely not "orgasmic" as the clip implies.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Canadian pwnage!
- randomgeek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Hockey games don't end in a tie any longer, at least, not in the NHL. If the game is tied there is a shoot out at the end to determine the winner. That is where these "tricks" come in handy.
- gregmo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10half of them dont work in the contest either... the slow motion one was shot right at the goalie's chest
- IBadassI, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10That kid better get reserved by some team quick. It's easy to say that these tricks won't get pulled in a real game when he's older, but look at the top footballers, like Ronaldinho and Ronaldo in football, they pull the same kind of stunts they used to pull as kids now that they play world football (soccer).
- xenoploid, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11"Orgasmic"? What.....the *****?
- wm2010russ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7it doesnt really matter whether he can or cannot pull these moves in a real game- its a competition. besides, the fact that he has the skill to pull them off in the first place should tell you a lot about his feel and control of the puck on the ice. using the example of soccer, a lot of people practicing juggling, for example, in order to get a good feel for the ball- not because theyre going to try it in a real game.
- K-Flow, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11yeah, it's definetly cool to watch but no one would try that ***** in a game. then again the video is just of a contest so of course he is gonna show off a bit
- yossarian24, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Any other Digg/hockey players will agree with me that this kid can do these moves good, but these are the stereotypical show off moves... go to any hockey practice around the world and you'll see kids pulling these off...maybe not with the finesse of this video but hes not quite a Ronaldo
- peterpatch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6This kid only scored 50% of his shots on a goalie who was about as good as a pylon at stopping the puck. I am a Canadian my parents had me in hockey since I was in 5 and I remember guys like this in every league, good stick handling, good puck control, can perform some tricks, often times hogged the puck. If there were a harlem globetrotters version of a hockey team this kid might have something going for him. If you tried to do that ***** during competitive full body contact league play defense men would crush you with body checks before you got to step 2 of your silly puck and stick trick.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5And open it too!
- wael, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i wanna see him do those tricks when he's 6ft tall... just saying
(i'm still very impressed) - hfxadv, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4no Sidney Crosby at that age thats for sure!
The big difference with him and sid at the age of 13, is that Sid the Kid would have gone 5/5 instead of 2/5.
Still very impressive, the youngster has a bright future!
Cole Harbour Kid Out! - maruamx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'd like to see all the people saying that those moves werent amazing to try doing them. He's doing those at 13 which means hes just getting started ;)
- Koopaloop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Is it just me or is it awkward to have the words orgasmic and 13 year old boy in the same phrase?
Anyways the kids got talent and being Canadian I have to point out that (most) young hockey players don't get scholarships and play for colleges. They get drafted by a Junior A hockey team when they are around 16 or so. Up in Canada we don't bother educating our athletes we like to keep them stupid like they're supposed to be. - Renshai, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Poor goalie probably feels like an ass and will commit suicide the next day... but cool moves kid, really great.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that works at the circus not a hockey game
- dbrodbeck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apparently he goes to Academie St. Louis, which is I beleive a highschool in Quebec. Quebec is right near Maine....
- tokyopimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It reminds me of some of the people I know who I used to play drums with. They would throw sticks in the air, twirl them, make people watch them. But when it comes down to playing, they really were nothing more than decent.
Not saying it's not cool, it is. But I want to see this kid play with a team, and play well. - zipzot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why does everyone on Digg have to 'Diss' posts like this all the time? Were we entertained by the video or not? Who cares if the guy would get his clocked cleaned in a real game doing this stuff - hockey fans know that (Sydney Crosby did something like this in a junior game when the score was like 8-1 for his team - he got a lot of flack for that)
He has physical skills that are cool to watch and that is the bottom line in my opinion. - lansuggs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Exactly, there have only been a select few hockey goals that have been orgasmic for me. Those just don't do it.
- HerbSolo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i can't fight the feeling, we're going to see that guy again.
- DOCKAUF55, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5You sir have obviously never jacked it to a hockey game.
- beggersfunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uber-skills!
- fatas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What is the song in the background its really nice
- Florian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I liked the excavator video better.
- m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1yeah, couldn't have said it better myself
he has skill for sure, but that goalie either let him pull that or just flat out sucks.
And so what if you can do this sort of thing? What use is it during an actual game?
At best he'll get pwned for hot dogging by the enforcer... and at worst he'll screw up, and cost his team an odd man rush going the other way
One thing to note is he'll be entertaining for shoot outs... and that's for sure.. heh - challpocket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is like posting AND1 videos and saying, "look at these kids school pros."
same sport but different context. some interesting/nice moves for a 13 yr old
kid, but im not sure it was patrick roy on the net. . . (then again, I remember
seeing the same ***** when I used to play hockey on the local pond when I
was about 13). - DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -1/+1holy crap, that kid is awesome!
- artish, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Reminds me of football tricks...
- mattfa, on 03/22/2008, -0/+0Takes a lot of practice to learn those moves. Pretty smooth for 13.
- astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yes. He reminds me of a young Max Bentley, the "Dipsy-Doodle Dandy", before he hit the national league with Chicago in 1940.
- yzerman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Did any of you even watch that, he didn't even score on many of those attempts, the few times he did get it past the goalie were standard deke or scoring moves anyone can do if you dip your shoulder and time it.
I've seen some pretty sweet moves durning games before even by amatuers, this didn't impress me, sorry, do it during a normal game with people chasing you. Those are the sweet goals I'm impressed with. Even 13 year olds can meet that challenge. - SamyIsMyHero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I play is on a junior high school hockey team and I know some kids that do all of his tricks perfectly well. These tricks are not impressive to me becuase I've see them at practice everyday. I'm not implying its easy, but only that this kid is not God's son.
ps I don't even play with Canadians and I still see these tricks done! - PyroArsenist, on 02/10/2008, -0/+0Holy crap can you say DRAFTED? This kid is going to be an amazing NHL star! If he is only 13, wait and see until he grows in skill as he gets older!
- Gamblor24, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'd like to see him try that on an NHL goalie. This kid would have no chance.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0He is the Rhonaldinho of Hockey.
- addictedidol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0IbadassI said is true. If you look at these soccer stars they pull of crazy things, that no one thinks someone would ever try, and it works.
- tragaini, on 03/22/2008, -0/+0i believe i can fly...
- CGorman68, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Jesus, he's good... I can take six shots and make two of them too. But, wow he can bounce it off his skate AND showboat. Is that thirteen-year-old my idol? Yes.
Buried for lame. - canuck13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Christ that kid has some dam near impossible moves to him he's amazing!
