Hello, Go-jira!?!? - inactive, on 11/06/2008, -3/+43right now... i really don't give a ***** about the olympics.
- dse78759, on 11/05/2008, -7/+41I think they should fear being the home city of Godzilla.
- Zachari, on 11/06/2008, -4/+32Obama's huge in Japan.
- palehorse864, on 11/06/2008, -0/+27For some reason, I read that with a comma pause after Obama.
Tokyo fears Obama, Strengthens Chicago's 2016 Olympic Bid - B3000, on 11/06/2008, -7/+33I was wondering how Digg was going to fill the front page with Obama stories now that the election is over. I guess this is a start.
- aresef, on 11/06/2008, -1/+24They could always compromise and hold the Olympics in Obama, Japan.
- JigoroKano, on 11/06/2008, -2/+23Konichiwa, Gojira-san.
- inactive, on 11/06/2008, -0/+20Thank you, John Madden.
- palehorse864, on 11/06/2008, -3/+22Forget Gojira!!! Here comes Gamera! AHHHH
いやああああ~~~~!!! - Kannebas, on 11/06/2008, -0/+16I mean ya got one city over there *circles Japan* and another city, BOOM, over there *circles Illinois*. I mean, *grunts*mumbles* I mean, they're like, *grunts*mumbles* not even in the same time zone or even, the same, country. Though I did visit a Chinese stand in Chicago. The beef fried rice is great.
- 9bpm9, on 11/06/2008, -0/+151996 in Atlanta.
- aznpwnzor, on 11/06/2008, -1/+16.....wasn't 2000 sydney?
- kernel16, on 11/06/2008, -2/+15Chicago has the President and Batman now.
- JoshuaGross, on 11/06/2008, -1/+12Is this a serious comment or a joke about endowments? It could go either way, folks!
- Expl0siv0, on 11/06/2008, -1/+11That was hilarious and was pretty racist.
- NextGenXbox, on 11/06/2008, -4/+13Japan is already overcrowded. I can't imagine the Olympics going well there.
- GeeksSpeakFont, on 11/05/2008, -3/+12those are two very different cities...
- vpshockwave, on 11/06/2008, -0/+9こんにちはじごろかのさん!
- CVL4317, on 11/06/2008, -1/+9the name of the city has been Obama for a long time
- JoshuaGross, on 11/06/2008, -1/+9This is just the beginning, friend. Every day, Digg finds a cure for cancer, solves the energy and financial crisis.... and coming to a Digg near you, Obama will save America from impending doom every day.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 11/06/2008, -0/+7@jayb1rd:
"Japan has a city named after Obama"
You indicated that the city was named that after Obama, not before. - Hyter, on 11/06/2008, -0/+7Tons of people were talking about this at Grant Park after he won.
- Dumbledorito, on 11/06/2008, -1/+8For the opening ceremonies, Obama will transform into Mecha-Obama-Gama-Go-Doki-Doki, and stop the alien tentacle-monster invasion with the help of two bikini-clad gun-babes, both with unnaturally-colored hair.
- inactive, on 11/06/2008, -0/+6The offensiveness was lacking originality, and this offends me.
- Chjoma10, on 11/06/2008, -3/+8When can we get over politics.... or at least have a break. I'm worn out............................................................................
- kendrew, on 11/06/2008, -1/+6yes
- hixxy, on 11/06/2008, -2/+7Beijing wasn't?
- rancor01, on 11/06/2008, -1/+6I cant imagine how crowded it would be if the games were here in Tokyo.. I hate the crowds as it is now.. The train is already packed like a meat locker at all hours.
..And Tokyo isnt really all that interesting.. I've lived in both, and Chicago is 100x better. - sinaura, on 11/06/2008, -0/+5Yeah because obviously since they are both Asian nations they will do the same things.....
- kakihara0513, on 11/06/2008, -0/+5The lack of originality was offensive and pretty racist, but hilarious.
- Fabbyfubz, on 11/06/2008, -2/+7It's okay - I'm Asian
- malvado, on 11/06/2008, -1/+5Give it to Rio. I'll book my tickets today.

- usingpond, on 11/06/2008, -1/+5Is Obama like some sort of super-magnet for retarded criticism?
- Ghoztt, on 11/06/2008, -1/+5はいやく!!にげろおおおーーーー!!!
- palehorse864, on 11/06/2008, -1/+5はいやく が ない バか はやく だぞ!!!
- seanovan, on 11/06/2008, -0/+4I find your lack of taste disturbing.
- IHaveCrayons, on 11/06/2008, -8/+11That wasn't funny and was pretty racist.
- rdoger6424, on 11/06/2008, -0/+3two bikini-clad JAPANESE SCHOOLGIRL gun-babes, thank you very much.
- redxii, on 11/06/2008, -0/+3「はいやく」ではありません、「はやく」です。

- JoshuaGross, on 11/06/2008, -2/+5Yeah, me too. Let's take a breather,
Okay, break over. OBAMA/PAUL 2012 - seanovan, on 11/06/2008, -1/+4U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A!
(I'm Canadian) - CrushThemTorg, on 11/06/2008, -0/+3When you say something is named after something else, you imply that it has the name for a reason, not that the two are coincidentally related.
I'm glad you're not the one teaching English. - CrazyPirate, on 11/06/2008, -0/+32004 Olympics were in Athens, 2000 was in Sydney. I think in 2002 the Winter Olympics were in Utah, but they treat that as a separate thing. Maybe if Chicago were anywhere near Salt Lake City they wouldn't like it, but I think the impact of having had winter Olympics here will be minimal.
- inactive, on 11/06/2008, -2/+4Tokyo kicks way more ass than Chicago, so they should win by default
- seanovan, on 11/06/2008, -0/+2Daddy issues eh?
- KMartSheriff, on 11/06/2008, -0/+2Your lack of humor is pretty entertaining.
- nikki2300dk, on 11/06/2008, -0/+2Exactly! Let Toyko have it, let them waste the money.
