- Canonet, on 08/31/2008, -1/+53Why do people keep saying it was a hissy fit? Did one journalist see it, describe it as such and then every other lazy ***** just says the same *****?
He quite calmly shook the hand of the winner, stepped off the podium, placed the medal down gently in the centre of the ring and walked off without protest. Hardly a hissy fit at all. It takes balls to do something like that and as commentators said, the refereeing was shambolic and he was denied a medal of higher inportance by shocking decisions. - slundal, on 08/31/2008, -3/+52He didn't "throw" it away. He gently placed it in the center of the ring and the walked calmly out of the ceremony.
By the way, the entire Swedish population supports him for his actions, an we wish him the best in the future. - nick7er, on 08/31/2008, -2/+46"Swedish wrestler Ara Abrahamian's bronze medal lies on the floor. Abrahamian threw it away in disgust at what he saw as poor refereeing"
Wow... - neoking77, on 08/31/2008, -1/+38Where is the picture of the Cuban TKD fighter kicking the referee?
- haentz, on 08/31/2008, -0/+32His wife died almost exactly one year before in a car accident. He was also diagnosed with diabetes since he was 18. Matthias Steiner is truly inspiring.
- provendelusion, on 08/31/2008, -3/+35nice shots. the one of the track is sick.
- inactive, on 08/31/2008, -1/+28It looks like that trick where you miniaturize real photos.

- Snottlebocket, on 08/31/2008, -0/+11I like the Bolt one where the depth of field makes the scene look like a railroad miniature.
- cdigioia, on 08/31/2008, -2/+11Poor London, what an act to follow...
- Aitese, on 08/31/2008, -0/+9Where were your protestations when this hit the front page?

Despite coming 4th in the medal table is seems, according to this series of photos, Great Britain were not even AT the Olympics - Enjia, on 08/31/2008, -0/+9lol
- teesix, on 08/31/2008, -0/+8Very inspiring.

- Achi11es, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Tom Daley at 14 is an Olympian. That seems more manly than trolling a geek web site, but that is just me.
- 0260, on 08/31/2008, -0/+7i wonder what kind of lens that is. depth of field is very strange.
- crashbang, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Chris Hoy was gettin super laid that night.....
- kevcowiffle, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Wait. What?
- haentz, on 08/31/2008, -0/+5#5 great use of the depth field... Other people have to use Photoshop to re-create this effect...
- ZeeZee2k, on 08/31/2008, -0/+6Hey, what I'm trying to say is that he did the right thing, now more people would look at the unfair judgment those competitions, putting more pressure on the IOC.
- HAMM3R, on 08/31/2008, -6/+11Correction: The best Olympic shots that flatter Great Britain of 2008

- SilentRamble42, on 08/31/2008, -0/+5#12 wins it for me
- jjgreenaway, on 08/31/2008, -0/+4Not many European wins? Hmm. If the EU was a country it would have won more medals than the US. And China. Combined!

- milkmit, on 08/31/2008, -0/+4@whatever01: See above, and next time make sure you know what you're talking about first. TS can easily do that sort of thing.

(with the exception of guy w/ pic) - sonycam, on 08/31/2008, -0/+3It's funny... the official Olympics video game for the Xbox has pictures of athletes from all around the world on the box cover - except in the US, where the cover only contains athletes from the USA.
- Oddish, on 08/31/2008, -0/+3What the ***** are you babbling about? Are you high? There were most likely hundreds of thousands of Swedes watching him trying to win the gold and instead getting ***** over by the judges.
