- hekexin, on 08/20/2008, -2/+164This has been all over Chinese website for a few days, this was originally posted on a Chinese blog around August 14, and of course the original blog was quickly removed but the news has spread uncontrollably. Do a search on baidu and you will see numberous posts about this subject, mostly posted on aug 18-19.
I believe Stryde Hax simply translated the original Chinese post into English and took credit for it.
On top of the Google proof, another Chinese blogger, Wang Xiaosan, also found a few Chinese articles back in a sports event in 2007, those articles all referred He kexin as the "13 years old little gymnastics". You can see a screenshot here (if you can read chinese), it is hosted on a Taiwanese website so it won’t get deleted:

I am a Chinese and I would like to say not all Chinese are proud of what our government has done. And I would like this age scandle exposed as much as you would. After all U.S. only lost a gold medal, it is us that truly suffer from our government's lies. - akh4x0r, on 08/20/2008, -2/+136You think out of 1.3 billion people you could find someone with the talent, skill, flexibility, and proper age.
- michaelburns, on 08/20/2008, -5/+137Why don't they just cut her in half and count the rings?

- ShrimpCrackers, on 08/20/2008, -10/+87Wow. Yet the Chinese government gets away with everything. The singer of "Ode to the Motherland" was faked. The footprint fireworks were faked with CGI (I saw the actual ones and they were not nearly as accurate). The pollution was toned down only after closing down tons of factories and banning half the automobiles in the city from running. The protest parks were a farce (they arrested anyone whom kept applying for a permit and gave out none). Just what about this Olympics is real?
- nerak2, on 08/20/2008, -1/+69I think the whole thing is an abomination. Why is the IOC ignoring this??
- strydehax, on 08/20/2008, -3/+69I have mirrored everything I found extensively - wget, scrapbook, the whole works. However I am one; You are Many. No one can argue with a thousand copies.
Thanks for the support.
-Stryde - Caligatio, on 08/20/2008, -2/+65I really hope this catches on, I have no idea why this entire issue is being swept under the carpet
- DragonzKin, on 08/20/2008, -2/+61Stunned this is not getting more diggs.... International Scandal people! Cmon!
- Crimsoneer, on 08/20/2008, -2/+36This happens at every Olympics...Just before Athens, two Greek athletes managed to conveniently avoid a dope test due to both being in a motorcycle accident, caused by them both being on illicit substances. Everybody conveniently forgot.
- Table16, on 08/20/2008, -5/+37Not only are China cheating with the girls' ages, but I swear there was something going on with the judges in the Chinese favor. But maybe that's just me.
- strydehax, on 08/20/2008, -1/+32"I believe Stryde Hax simply translated the original Chinese post into English and took credit for it."
I don't speak Chinese.
I've never seen that blog post before in my life. I didn't know others were researching this.
There are several interesting documents cited on your link, including cached google documents, which I don't have. Followup research for me.
At first glance (I don't read Chinese) they don't appear to have all three registration documents from www.sport.gov.cn in the Baidu cache that I based my post on, but I could be wrong. There's a lot of info in there in a language I don't speak. I'll need to spend some time reading tonight.
Thank you for this information; I'll try to update my blog as soon as I can.
stryde.hax - deeznuts69, on 08/20/2008, -2/+33"I have received several comments to the effect of "Who cares how old she is?". In response: certainly not me. This blog is about government censorship and state sponsored fraud. I am attempting to demonstrate the power of free citizens to subvert government censorship. The finer points of gymnastics competitions are outside the scope of this post."
- junkstore, on 08/20/2008, -2/+33According to Wikipedia, China has done this before (at the Sydney Olympics, 2000) with a gymnast called Yang Yun.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_controversies_in_ ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yang_Yun - redandgold, on 08/20/2008, -0/+29b/c the IOC is a bunch of pussies and doesnt have the balls to investigate the issue b/c its the HOST country
- pond70, on 08/20/2008, -1/+28carbon date her
- mbabauer, on 08/20/2008, -4/+28Excellent sleuthing! I hope this makes front-page.
- z00k, on 08/20/2008, -1/+24Remember to copy the trash file.
- redcard, on 08/20/2008, -2/+24Because the IOC is and has been in China's pocket from the bribes all along. Duh.
- tchiseen, on 08/20/2008, -1/+20You're going to have about a billion people replicating these results. Good work.
- Airforcefalco, on 08/20/2008, -3/+21I hear that doesn't work so well for humans.
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -0/+18Nobody thinks this has anything to do with the Chinese People, in fact I doubt that Ms. He feels good about lying to the public, but what choice does she have. She is caught up in something beyond her years.
Its a shame because thousands if not millions of Chinese VOLUNTEERED their services out of pride for themselves and their country. - JeffH, on 08/20/2008, -1/+18Believe it or not, it's an advantage in gym sports.
- strydehax, on 08/20/2008, -0/+16Very nice work.
Adding as an update. - inactive, on 08/20/2008, -6/+22Outstanding work.
YOU mirror them, you already had them!
Put full size versions up on your page.
And do it quick! - borez, on 08/20/2008, -1/+16You'd think that the Chinese government would have had the sense to remove the cache on Baidu's and other Chinese search engine sites. If you're gonna scam the world, at least cover your tracks.
FTR: I think any athlete or organisation representing athletes that are caught gaming the Olympics should be stripped of their medals by the IOC... period.
And Stryde Hax... you get my sleuth of the year award mate. - breadfred, on 08/20/2008, -1/+16Not everybody -I remember that incident. If memory serves correctly, they were banned.
- krazikamikaze, on 08/20/2008, -3/+17You think out of 300 million people we could find someone with the talent, skill, intelligence, and proper morality to run our country.
- 0tis, on 08/20/2008, -1/+15http://wikileaks.org/ I think maybe Stryde should be submitting this himself though?
Good work, thanks/ - inactive, on 08/20/2008, -2/+15Wow, i'm just shocked that china would like to look like fools to the rest of the world. Where is the honor in cheating? They could of let people protest, and not scammed on the singing/fireworks. Made themselves look good for once, but they failed
- ldkronos, on 08/20/2008, -0/+13Whats nice about that one is it actually tells us when it was cached. Aug 15, 2008 02:31: 31 GMT

- syuusuke, on 08/20/2008, -0/+11yeap.. i've also seen this on several Chinese blogs also.

ooops! - Fredoguy, on 08/20/2008, -1/+12Yeah, i took a screenshot of her name.
Bloggers should do the same and post it their blogs, MySpace, Facebook, etc. It's already made it to Slashdot! :D - UNDERSTAR, on 08/20/2008, -1/+10HACK THE PLANET!

- patientXero, on 08/20/2008, -1/+10Dude, just wanted to commend you on an awesome find. You're gonna be famous. If you need a publicist, lemme know!
- diulei, on 08/20/2008, -1/+9America definitely has a weakness for kissing Chinese butt (as does much of the rest of the world), but certainly not digg. Search "China" and see how many of those articles are negative about China vs. how many are positive. I'd think the ratio somewhat similar to something about the Bush administration.
- GothAlice, on 08/20/2008, -3/+11Well, there was one specific example I can think of from yesterday. The tai-kwon-do match with Canada vs. whoever the hell ugly chick it was in blue. Canada hit several chest shots and one or two head shots. Not one of them was counted.
I called ***** as I watched. ***** corrupt judges. - EtherGnat, on 08/20/2008, -2/+9It's nothing new. The New York Times article on the subject had the same info and was published weeks ago before the Olympics even started. Apparently nobody cares.
NYT Story (7/27/08): http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/27/sports/olympics/ ...

- zodo, on 08/20/2008, -2/+9I hear that doesn't work so well for non-fossilized creatures.
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -2/+9That is epic man. I'll wget --mirror it into my archives.
- EmperorKagato, on 08/20/2008, -1/+8It's going to take time to make this popular.
StrideHax you should probably post a youtube video and liveleak video on your post. -
