- haterofps3, on 08/17/2008, -15/+69As a human being I believe that Human Rights are essential.
I wanna point out though that no government has the right to tell China how to treat Chinese citizens. It is up to the Chinese people to tell their government how it should treat them.
If the Chinese can't or wont bring a change for themselves then who are we to bring change for them? - viper565, on 08/17/2008, -3/+33***** THE RIAA

- Hayes, on 08/17/2008, -19/+30Who in the ***** Diggs this gay *****...
Buried. - Rev0lver, on 08/17/2008, -3/+12A government should fear it's people - not the other way around. I agree that the Chinese should be able to govern it's people in the manner they choose, but when people are needlessly dying due to it's negligence, something has to give. Theres nothing wrong with peaceful diplomatics and trying to persuade them on the matter. When we begin to threaten them, etc. is when the problem arises.
- compucomp2, on 08/17/2008, -10/+19***** Western hypocrisy lapped up by the digg douchebats like usual. Must be China hating season. You can all go ***** yourselves.
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -2/+10worst demotivational poster ever.
- bstockwell, on 08/17/2008, -8/+16That's right, ***** the olympics for staying out of political problems and allowing people to forget about their differences and come together in a great celebration of human accomplishment!
buried - mrkamil, on 08/17/2008, -4/+12totally photoshopped. you can see the flaw in logic.
- govsucks, on 08/17/2008, -4/+12Yeah, we need to stop crying about China, in the U.S. we have people who force others to participate in things even if those people don't want to participate and those collectivists don't understand human rights or freedom any better than the Chinese collectivists.
- MendotaLee, on 08/17/2008, -13/+21So tired of this *****. ***** Free Tibet fanboys.
- ChromaVita, on 08/17/2008, -1/+8"Be sure to drink your Ovaltine."
WTF IS THIS *****??? - tiger32kw, on 08/17/2008, -1/+6So stupid. Regurgitating the same things over and over you hear about human rights violations in China... yet you have never been there or talked to the average citizen of China. It's getting old. blah blah blah
- swantonamobay, on 08/17/2008, -2/+7This picture is completely meaningless.
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -2/+6Buried, because I can't stand this ***** anymore. It's too hard to ignore this crap that keeps flowing in. At least it'll stop after the olympics, because no one will care a bit after this.
- mattrmcg, on 08/17/2008, -2/+6Their country. Their rules. Don't like the set of rules? Move to another country. Many of my friend's parents moved to America because it is the land of the free and they got tired of things in China or Venezuela. And before you say that they were already rich in their country, it should be known that they all started out as extremely low income cases, and they worked hard to get out of it. So please, stop spamming all the injustices of China. It is the problem for their people, not our people; and if they did not like it then they would have moved to a better place.
- 4LeggedtriPod, on 08/17/2008, -2/+6No matter how true it may or may not be, I don't come to digg to see your propagandist *****.
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -2/+5That brought a tear to me eye... let's start deploying then!!
/s - tim04, on 08/17/2008, -1/+4Not sure how you would know how "the people of China" feel...from a few CNN clips? maybe you should travel over there and find out for yourself.
In reality, the people of China mostly seem quite happy with the government right now, considering that many are prospering from the booming economy. From what I've seen and heard, they wouldn't mind some more freedoms, but most aren't too concerned with it since their quality of life is steadily increasing. They're generally all just trying to get their slice of the pie rather than thinking about voting rights and strict policing (which has gotten a lot better since only a few decades ago).
And no, it's ***** that they're scared about talking trash about the government, they're only trying to be careful and not to end up on the news. - kingUssop, on 08/17/2008, -2/+4Well I'm convinced, let's go "free" China by spending years bombing them, the same way we fail to "free" anyone else.
- Calculon, on 08/17/2008, -2/+4I can break these cuffs... You can't break those cuffs...
- Hollow5, on 08/18/2008, -0/+2to disable a vortagon
- pahool, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2AH! FRUITCAKE!
- Noein, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2Yeah I find it interesting people outside China are more concerned about human rights issues than people living in China. While news reports are more transparent in the outside world, only bad news gets in the headlines. I almost never hear any positive news about the Chinese government.
- offthewagon, on 08/17/2008, -1/+3I read that too quickly and thought it read: "Be sure to check your ovaries."
..which is good advice, because if you ignore them for too long they can wear down and need a complete ovaryhaul. - GenghisTom, on 08/17/2008, -1/+3We need to send this man to China:
http://icanbreakthesecuffs.ytmnd.com/ - BertEatsDirt, on 08/17/2008, -2/+3What the *****? What's with all the anti-human rights/pro-Chinese Communist Party propaganda? You should ALWAYS protest against human rights abuses! If you don't protest against this ***** you might have your own rights taken away, and it'll take a VERY long time to get them back.
- An0nym0u5, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Buried for bringing up the same tired ***** constantly. Could the Free Tibet douche bags please leave us the ***** alone.
- smileyabel, on 08/17/2008, -3/+4This is what urban dictionary has to say about, human rights.
Human Rights- ***** that don't exist and all of the fake human rights organizations wouldn't know a human right if it pissed on their foot. - Spyder2k, on 08/17/2008, -2/+3Who made that rule?
- haterofps3, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1Yes you do but your government doesn't
- hoohaha, on 08/17/2008, -1/+2Seriously. Think for just one second. What 'entity' gives you human rights? The whole concept of human rights can be traced back to either the Constitution (which arguably can also be linked back to Christianity) or the Bible. China has NOTHING to do with either one of these. Just because they aren't bound by these rules and regulations doesn't mean they go around torturing and killing people at random.
Yes there are humanitarian problems in China, but these problems aren't significantly bigger than they are in other countries. Frankly you may want to look through the Human Rights report China writes every year detailling the human rights violations in the United States. - lxZanderxl, on 08/17/2008, -3/+4***** it, just bury me.
- slowmotiony, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1You DO realise that people outside of US have internet too, right?
- Khangwin, on 08/17/2008, -8/+9gay. not to mention a copy of someone's work. buried.
- TheRascalKing, on 08/17/2008, -2/+3Laaaaame.
- haterofps3, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1Just because it is hard is not a good enough reason not to do it. Apathy in the face of tyranny is a recipe for death and destruction. But it is not America that faces Chinese Tyranny and as much as I want to help China become a country of equals I don't believe that I have the right to force that on them.
- pahool, on 08/17/2008, -0/+1Yes we can!
- lightmartyr, on 08/17/2008, -0/+0And ***** the protesters that go over there and bring down the mood for everyone else.
- CindyMindy, on 08/17/2008, -9/+9um gay?
- tim04, on 08/17/2008, -3/+3nice speech, you might want to start with Africa and go up from there.
