- zombiecarlin, on 08/20/2008, -4/+161***** NBC, I would really like to have watched this live, but no the ***** have table tennis as their live streams and save the 200m final for a ***** prime time highlight show. They should be banned from ever broadcasting the Olympics again.
Congrats to Bolt. - darkchild82, on 08/20/2008, -3/+94Talk about living up to your name!
- ScottMcIntyre, on 08/20/2008, -5/+57Thunder Bolt and lightning- very, very frightening!!
- cogitocogito, on 08/20/2008, -2/+53They need to develop a semi-viscous plasma in which Bolt can race Phelps.
- bluto36, on 08/20/2008, -1/+47yes they only have one start, you know that thing where they start out at 0 and then accelerate to full speed. the 2nd 100m they are already at full speed... get it?
- duppyman, on 08/20/2008, -1/+32This guy has been the highlight of the Olympics for me. Man he's fast.
- RegularJohn, on 08/20/2008, -4/+35He was incredible at the 100ms. He proved that wasn't an accident. What an incredible athlete!
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -0/+31They actually did a ***** SEGMENT with Costas on whether Bolt disgraced the Olympics by showboating. I wish I was making that up...

it'll be down before anyone clicks on the link - mavroprovato, on 08/20/2008, -0/+2470 meters. For the rest, he was walking
- Napiertt, on 08/20/2008, -2/+26You HAVE to be joking?! NBC couldn't be so f**ked up!
- pintomp3, on 08/20/2008, -6/+27i guess it's ok when phelps does it. he's white.
- balgreat, on 08/20/2008, -2/+21Here's the video, good luck!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5401670711 ... - Shao00, on 08/20/2008, -0/+19Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory. boooooooo
- giid, on 08/20/2008, -1/+18Wow, I didn't know that was an event. How far did he run in 100ms?
- m3mn0n, on 08/20/2008, -1/+17Nike to release "Bolts" in 3, 2, 1....
- Napiertt, on 08/20/2008, -2/+17Mamma mia!
- inactive, on 08/20/2008, -1/+16Not even joking. They had a three guys in discussing it. Talk about a WTF moment...
- zombiecarlin, on 08/20/2008, -1/+16Why would it be screwing them over they could do what every other TV station in the World is doing show it Live and in highlight form at Prime Time?
- davewashere, on 08/20/2008, -2/+17If he's so good that he can showboat the final 10 meters and still break the world record, I say who cares? Sprinting is not the type of sport where you usually have one person dominating the rest of the field. After all, races are usually won by tenths or hundredths of a second. Bolt is dominating the sport right now, and he should be damn proud of it.
- starskii, on 08/20/2008, -7/+21I hope they had a fire extuinguisher at the finish line to put out the flames on his shoes
- AoiTakuma, on 08/20/2008, -1/+15Put Bolt in a swimming pool and he's useless I'm sure. Put Phelps on a track with some spikes and he's useless I'm sure. Stop comparing the two, they don't compete against each other and will never compete against each other. You just make yourself sound like a retard.
- exeprime, on 08/20/2008, -4/+18Usain? More like INSANE Bolt, amirite?
ok, that wasn't a very good pun :/ - jlpete9, on 08/20/2008, -2/+16(mamma mia!)
- Napiertt, on 08/20/2008, -0/+13He's had a string of records going back to when he was a junior. He's not just come out of the blue.
- canewediggit, on 08/20/2008, -2/+15any showboating this time? i love this dude's swag, want to see him do a deion high-step across the tape sometime.
- Napiertt, on 08/20/2008, -0/+12Lightning strikes twice! I hope I'm the first to write that! :-)
That was unbelievable! I thought he would have run 19.50, but he just blew the field away...again! Awesome, awesome performance! - Haha71687, on 08/20/2008, -1/+13Mamma Mia Figaro!
- HelplessSEAL, on 08/20/2008, -0/+12What's scary is that Bolt doesn't even have the perfect form while running. Imagine if he trained more, that guy's gonna be even faster in London...
- mavroprovato, on 08/20/2008, -1/+13Magnifico-o-o-o
- Adenosine, on 08/20/2008, -0/+12no kidding check this out
http://www.thethousand.net/archives/2008/08/1932.p ... - neocr0n, on 08/20/2008, -0/+12BBC is doing it live with interactive menus to select events and live streaming on the website. With highlights both on the TV and the website. There is next to nothing else on the BBC at the moment other than the olympics. I can't believe America pretty much the land of TV doesn't have it live.

Select the 200M final - inactive, on 08/20/2008, -0/+10Did you see Lolo Jones in the women's 100m hurdles? Clipped the last hurdle, going from Gold to 7th place. Talk about a memory that will haunt somebody for years.
The Spearmon DQ was tough to watch too. Man, that has to really suck to train most of your life, only to have a medal yanked like that. Then, your teammate gets it instead. "Hey, nice bronze medal. Can I check it out?". - dallisart, on 08/20/2008, -0/+10Nah, he saved it for after the race this time.
Felt sorry for Spearman (sp?), he celebrated bronze for sometime afterwards until being made aware of his disqualification. - ScottyDontKnow, on 08/20/2008, -1/+11I really REALLY wish he ran the 100m full out. I almost feel cheated as a fan. I know he said "he just wanted to win he already had the record". But i wanted to see the fastest possible time A Human could run. If your not going to run full out in the Olympic Finals when are you? They estimated he could of ran a 9.4 - 9.5!
- partysan, on 08/20/2008, -0/+9He's waiting for the athletic meetings where he'll actually get paid for breaking those records. Something Bubka used to do, and something Isinbayeva is doing now. You just have to do it that way, ain't exactly Tiger Woods money in track and field.
- pintomp3, on 08/20/2008, -1/+10wow, it looks like he was one race and everyone else in another.
- CdeNyikayedu, on 08/20/2008, -2/+11There is a new kid on the block
- RusskiGuy, on 08/20/2008, -0/+9He's so fast, he can slow down and celebrate before he even finishes, and *still* set the world record...
- liljay2k, on 08/20/2008, -2/+11Which one? Jordan, Johnny, Joey, Donnie or Danny?
- mohsenxp, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8I feel for you NBC watchers. Let's hope whichever station broadcasts London 2012 doesn't screw you guys over.
- DrSnugglebunny, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8Some of us more enlightened Americans are perfectly happy to cheer for good athletes of any nationality or other background. Bolt is the bomb, baby!
- didiman, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8I agree, NBC sucks...they have done this with several sports.
- verynegative, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8But can he run Crysis?
- Seth024, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8Yes, a sub 9 seconds 100 meter is certainly possible if you have a running start. Check out Asafa Powell in the 4 x 100 meter in 2007. He ran the last 100 meters of his 110 in 8.84s
- nicheplayer, on 08/20/2008, -0/+8What's a good way to get the fastest man in the world to break your "amazing" record? Come out and say you don't think the fastest man in the world can break your "amazing" record. Johnson made his bed here, let him sleep in it.
- Chahrlie5, on 08/20/2008, -1/+9Speedhacks!
- modsuperstar, on 08/20/2008, -0/+7So what are your thoughts on guys who hit homers, then stand and admire them at home plate? Or guys running back a punt who start to goose step at the 20 yard line in football? Or guys celebrating a 1st inning strikeout like they just won the World Series? Showboating is an American pastime. The US just isn't used to having their noses rubbed in it.
- electrifried, on 08/20/2008, -0/+7he probably wasnt thinking straight...i mean he still won the world record-.- why cant everyone get off his back for slacking off. leaves more room for more world records anyways :P
