We're not going to be able to pull off what Beijing did we're in economic trouble we don't have the billions to spare but we will do a good job I'm sure of it.

Personally I'd like to see some of our heritage get shown with Wimbledon and Wembley coming into play where we can squeeze them in. It's going to be a fun 2 weeks or so!

stoanhart, on 08/31/2008, -0/+3I have a feeling the Olympics is going to get flashier and flashier to the point where it's more about how much money the host country can waste... I mean spend on them. Eventually, most countries will be priced out, while those that can keep up will massively increase their debts to do so. Once a competition becomes all about the venue and not about the content, it dies. See E3 for an example.
